Working on a halfling Cleric of Erastil, is it OK if I take the Eagle domain? It is listed in the cleric archetypes under terrain and animal domains, which links to the druid domains.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid/archetypes/paizo---druid -archetypes/animal-and-terrain-domains
Since your god is Erastil who has the animal domain, I don't see any reason why you can't take the eagle domain. Though I'll count it as a sub-domain of the animal domain, so you won't be allowed the animal domain or any of it's sub-domains.

A history to be sure...
Simply a farmer, Carter Cheluse was very content with his life. He owned his land, a house, several livestock and made good with local merchants selling his produce. He was also in love.
Carter married his childhood sweeetheart. A young woman of burnt auburn hair and green eyes. They loved living off the land, working the farm and with the animals. One day, she bore him a son and this son sucked all the joy from Carter's life.
Vrajitoare was born into the world not crying but bathed in the blood of his mother. He was quickly abandoned. His father, terrified by the prospect of some unholy infernal wraith, couldn't bring himself to murder the hellspawn. He couldn't wrap his mind around how his perfect life had been tainted by an unknown ancient ancestor. Varjitoare was set upon a cart of hay and led off by an elderly mule.
The cart was intercepted by a traveler named, Pernice Winthor. Pernice ran an orphanage in a nearby town. Having never seen a Tiefling before, he thought there was a fortune to be made off some aristiocratic collector. Surely he could find a buyer because his orphanage was also a front for selling wayward children into service. Not all buyers were honest but that mattered not; not when it came to money. Surely, Pernice had hit the jackpot with this find.
Vrajitoare was an aggressive infant. Constantly aggrivated and never satisfied with what his "caretakers" had to offer him, he spent most of his days isolated. Pernice was also aggrivated because buyers were more fearful of the child than he had anticipated. It seemed the child's cursed blood was affecting everyone around. Pernice's luck was about to change however and it wasn't for the better.
One day a middle aged woman arrived in town and made one stop; the orphanage. The next thing anyone knew there were children flooding the streets and the orphange was burning. Some reports have the woman walking through the flames with a small child in her arms. Others say she flew through the roof in a cloud of smoke. All they can know for sure is that no adult survived the blaze and no one has seen the Tiefling child since.
Vrajitoare spent the rest of his adolescence growing up in the Mwangi Expanse. He never knew why and never thought to ask why he had been rescued by this hedge witch. Maybe she longed for a child that she could never produce for herself? Maybe she yearned to dispel rumors that she supped on children's flesh for sustenance? Maybe she sought to tap into his infernal blood and gain new power? Her reasons mattered not for she brought him to the jungle and he relished in it.
Vrajitoare was quick to learn the skills necessary to survive in the exapnse. His foster mother taught him well the ways of arcane magics and that knowledge was the key to survival. Coupled with the might of his ancestry, Jito was quick to adapt. He studied hard and set off on his own to discover new lands and new magics eventually joining the Pathfinders.

You know what? I've recently started the application process for 3 groups of THIS module and 1 other module. Out of all 4 applications, this is the one where I have developed the least interest.
I've already "lost out" to other players for the first iteration of this particular adventure. I don't want to be unneccessarily responsible for doing that to someone else.
I withdraw my application for this PBP game. I may well regret it later, but this is supposed to be about having fun, right? I need to chase the opportunities that seem to provide the best promise of fun FOR ME.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope that everyone involved in this game has a GRAND time!
Akaash |
Akaash was born to a Wizard and his wife in the town of Sandpoint. While they were not Varisians, they decided to stay there. Akaash looked like a normal human boy, except for a few small things, the most noticeable was the slight breeze that always seemed to follow him around. His father looked in to it, and found that there was only one explanation. He was not a human, but a Sylph, a humanoid with connections to the denizens of the Plane of Air. As Akaash grew up, he devolped to be quite intelligent, but had no skill at wizardry like his father hoped. He went out looking for work, and found himself as an apprentice to the town apothecary. He liked the work, and was very skilled at it. He could pump out Alchemist's Fire like it was nothing. He son started trying to create his own potions, bombs, and the like.
Akaash is fairly well known around the town, and is liked by most people he knows. While being fairly talkative, he doesn't talk about his personal affairs with anyone, even his closest friends. He really enjoys looking into the lives of others, observing them to try to gain understanding of how humans and the other common races live so he can fit in with them.
Digger Chandler |
On the road, there was always someone who'd love to tell a great story to a young boy. Tock's favorite stories were all about Cayden Cailean. He marveled over how the human-cum-god went through life with nothing more than a sense of adventure and a chaotic tendency towards luck. As time went on he became a devout worshipper, though without a real cleric around, his theology isn't exactly orthodox. He loves nothing more than chaos and luck. He spreads it wherever he goes, constantly spinning tales about himself and the world around him.
Tock loves nothing more than telling a story. Whether it's meant to be fictional or a lie, he is in his element. He befuddled his parents as a child, getting away with more and more as time went on and they tired of trying to figure out "the truth." One day at the market, his convoluted reasonings on why he should be allowed to drink as much ale as he wants became so intense that there was no way to refute them.
Also at this market was Scarnetti, who was impressed with the youth's force of personality. He later dug up some information on the child and periodically kept tabs on the boy's development. When he reached 16, already tall and handsome as most any man, Tock was hired to work as a bartender at a tavern Scarnetti had influence upon.
His oft-stated goal is "to live the greatest story of all time." He generally believes in the greater good of life, for what is more chaotic than sapient life? However, he is a near-compulsive liar and cheat and hedonist. His ethics and moral code are flexible to say the least. His deepest dream, which he would never reveal, is actually to garner enough power to conquer the Starstone and join his hero in godhood.
Digger is tall, in great shape, and very handsome. He is frustratingly aware of these facts. His story-spinning is aided all the more with that charming smile. He has the medium-brown hair of his father, and the small but expressive eyes of his mother. He dresses stylishly, bordering on foppishly. He always makes eye contact and remembers people's names. He loves a good joke, and has almost perfected the art of friendly teasing.
However, he is conceited and sometimes downright spiteful. He feels a life of adventure is basically owed to him, and prefers the story of the Drunken God to the slow deterioration and death of his parents. He will not go out quietly, but he can hold a quiet grudge for years before acting upon it.
He enjoys creating other identities and disguises, filling each in with elaborate personalities and backstories. He seeks adventuring with characters fit for the greatest story of all time. His friendship is unswervingly loyal (unless it would make a REALLY good story).
Despite his demons and flaws, he does hate actual, true evil. His definition of it might just be a bit more specific than others'.
Cain Darvin |
Good Afternoon PBA,
I am submitting Cain Darvin. I previously posted as Ramos the Herald. Cain Darvin is a runaway from Hermea. As part of the Hermea human breeding program, Cain is a Aasimar, culled from human stock. Cain found the oppressive nature and religious intolerance of Hermea crushing. At his first chance to escape the island he did so. Mechanically, I see Cain as a support cleric of Desna, able to provide healing, buffs and limited flanking and control options. RP wise, I left a good character hook in my character, that could lead to further development as the campaign continues. Thank you for considering my application, have a great day.

“So you want to know about Hermea?” The man across the table asks.
“Sure, I know about Hermea, in fact I used to live there, and I’ll be the first to tell you that it’s not that paradise that Mengkare claims it to be. But first my friend, knowledge isn’t free. And sadly I still have miles to go. So if you would care to make a donation...” pocketing the coins, the white haired man continues.
“Excellent, like I said, I lived in Hermea. You could say I was part of Mengkare’s ”Breeding Program” if you will. I suppose if you were a cynical man, you might say he was successful. After all I am a bit more than just human.” Grinning the man’s eyes flash blue for a moment before he moves on.
”Anyhow, in Hermea, everything is provided for you. Food, shelter and all of the ”freedom” he thinks you can handle. Sadly religion is not. And I’ll be the first to tell you that logic and rationale don’t comfort a man on a cold night the way a prayer does.” Pausing to collect his thoughts the man continues.
”Mengkare did everything he could to stamp out religion among his people, under the guise of rational thinking. Still, hidden groups do exist, brought together in the darkness to whisper prayers to the gods. It was under fear, and religious persecution, I learned of Desna.” Points to his holy symbol.
”When I came of age, I was selected to be a shining example of Hermea to other nations, to travel with the choosers, who seek out other members for the Glorious Experiment. What a laugh. The moment we were on the mainland. I made my break. And since then I have been telling the truth of Hermea… that it’s a golden prison, with the illusion of promise, and deceit of progress.” Getting up, Cain turns back to the man.
”Desna be with you my friend, and pass this story along.”

@Anduriel: No angelkin, sorry, but you can use the Incorruptible racial trait.
@Wolfwaker: Sorry but no goblins since Sandpoint is a somewhat small town and goblins have caused trouble in the area, I don't think they would except a goblin.
Alrighty then.
Didn't took incorruptible thought.
Done background included. Ready to go at your signal. If I'm chosen that is !

The ship that Corvus and her fellow inmates took to escape the prison was shipwrecked halfway between Magnimar and Sandpoint. She was the sole survivor and once recovered from her ordeal, she headed north-east along the coast until she came to Sandpoint.
As ever, she is listening for rumours - weighing up if there are transgressors whose position keeps them above the law.
