GM DevilDoc |
Sorry about that, guys. I am back, and things will be back to normal!!
Daelric steps in, swinging hard with his new sword. He just barely manages to hit the beast, laying open its flank!
Kiera tries to shock the dog again, but the dog easily jumps out of the way.

There was a tingle that passed through Volkar and he flexed his fingers. He shivered and then looked about. He was huddled on the floor and his breathing started to calm.
Ok, not much he can do. THANKS ANDREZI
GM DevilDoc |
Volkar: Good news is that I think thats the 2nd round, so you should be good now.
Andrezi channels out his divine blessings, helping to heal the party while Volkar stays put.

The dogs tear into Daelric and Kiera. Daelric takes an extremely nasty bite, but keeps his feet under him as the dog tries to pull him down. Kiera is not so lucky, being pulled to the ground and savaged! Both of them feel the incredible evil of the hounds exuded from the very pours and breath of the creatures, threatening to shake their nerve.

GMDevildoc, you need to roll a d100 for that crit, on a 1-25 the crit is negated and is a normal hit.
I am shocked by how much the bite of this hound hurts, especially through armour. I quickly bring my sword up and try to end the find quickly so that no one else receives such a wound.
Longsword Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
I am so shocked by the attack though, that may swing goes wide, very wide.
Volkar Glanral |
Volkar pulled himself up with the help of the pillar next to him as the hound lept after Daelric. The hounds were vicious in their attack on his colleages. He manages to get his footing and turns to see where the hell beast is.
So standing is a move action, and can prevoke AoO yet not sure where Red is actually. So, going to leave my turn open. If the beast is next to me, then I would attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 otherwise, I would shift five feet towards Daelric.

He passes the vial to the bleeding dwarf.

Andrezi channels more energy from his goddess, topping everyone else off, and healing most of his own wounds.
Volkar lands a solid chop, he was aiming for the beasts neck, but it turned at the last minute, leaving just another nasty wound.
Daelric tries to emulate Volkar, but is unsuccessful.
Unfortunately, flanking is not possible in this arrangement. yall basically have it backed into a corner.
Kiera keeps swatting at flies.
Trapped now, the hound can't even fly out of its corner, and attacks with a renewed viciousness. It turns to Daelric, teeth bared and muzzle slick with the blood of his friends. The animal tears into Daelric again, but once more the dwarf is able to keep his feet.

Volkar looked about as the excitement of the battle began to pass and his breathing began to slow. As Andrezi began the process of healing the othrs, Volkar walked acros the room and up the stairs to the dias and the alter. He looked about as he walked to get some sense of how old this room was.
----
Kiera Videns |
"I'm all right. Thanks for keeping us going with that holy power, Andrezi," says Kiera. She accepts Daelric's hand up. "And thank you two for finishing that thing. What the heck were those? I've never met a dog that angry."
GM DevilDoc |
The team gets to their feet and heals up.. they are winded, but their spirit is not broken. Volkar begins to inspect the alter, trying to determine its age.. he can't tell for sure, but the worn stones and archaic stone methods he notices tells him that this shrine is as old as the "island" is rumored to be.. possibly centuries old.
Sorry for leaving yall hanging yesterday. I signed on and went to post.. and fell asleep at my laptop!
I nearly missed it, and wanted to point it out to you since there is some overlap on the map. Exiting this room, you have two choices. You can go back the way you came, or there is a door on southern wall of the Dais. I have marked this with an arrow for clarity.
Daelric Morieth |
As my wounds begin to knit themselves together I let out a sigh as the pain also recedes into nothingness, "Thank you." I stretch my leg a couple of times and the other parts were I was bitten, "All I know is I don't want to fight those things again! We should search this room and then head through that door over there." I point to the door by the dais.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
No worries, at least you are feeling well enough to post today and that is the important thing. Your health always comes first.
Kiera Videns |
"Right," says Kiera with an absent nod. Then she mumbles and flexes her fingers slightly.
Cast detect magic.
She turns and surveys the rooms slowly, with a slight frown.
GM DevilDoc |
While Daelric inspects the door on the dais, Kiera casts detect magic and begins to scan the room. Although there is no active enchantments within the chapel, the lingering auras of magical workings still cling to the alter.
Daelric does not find any traps on the door, nor is he able to hear anything from the other side.
Just reread the post.. nothing of note in the chapel either.
