Reign of Winter

It has been a century since the immortal witch Baba Yaga last visited the world, and the hour draws nigh for her return. But when she fails to appear in the frozen realm of Irrisen to usher in its newest ruler, pockets of winter begin to grow.
Jezzera started in my head as like some kind of wild far-north tribesman shaman, eg- big wooden masks, grass skirts, etc. He has kind of evolved into a Winter Indian and I think I like it a lot better. It makes for a lot of fun roleplay opportunities that I hadn't considered.
Also I imagine he sounds kind of like Tonto from the original Lone Ranger.

I've updated my combat round with a correction.
My first response was to blame the board. But I can not account for all variables (see: Alcohol) and will thusly shoulder the blame. :)

I am a fan of this Jezzera. For real. Dig it.

I think everyone has done a great job characterizing and quickly acclimatizing to pbp. I've got to step my own game up!

Added a nice image to the Player folder
-Probably a good place to ask, shall we set a definitive marching order?

I know who's in front!
Human Rogue 3 / Druid 3 || AC 19 FF 13 T 16 || HP (24/33) || Init +6 || Fort +6 Ref +9 Will +8 || Perception +13
Deadeye would take either the second or last place in line. Second, for alchemist support and melee/ranged flexibility, or last, for rear guard.
I'd think it would be like Kalhar, druid/ranger, caster, caster, druid/ranger
Human Rogue 3 / Druid 3 || AC 19 FF 13 T 16 || HP (24/33) || Init +6 || Fort +6 Ref +9 Will +8 || Perception +13
How about Kalhar, Deadeye, Axel, Sarlene, Jezzera?

Oh dayum. Horizon walker is actually prett dope in pathfinder. I might have to take a couple levels for cold dominance...

what did you take if not heals D:
...Bless? And Endure elements...
Justified in that Jezzera has 08 INT. When he hits level 2 I think he'll know a bit better.

The two creatures you see are standing at about head level in the trees. Picture on the combat map.

Jesus this forest is dangerous
Also, we seem to suck at adventuring.

This adventure might be the hardest 1st Chapter in an AP that I've read. Helped by the fact that practically everything is difficult terrain and all of you have a -4 perception because of the snow.
Human Rogue 3 / Druid 3 || AC 19 FF 13 T 16 || HP (24/33) || Init +6 || Fort +6 Ref +9 Will +8 || Perception +13
Lol, awesome. Good to know.
tbh I really don't mind a difficult AP at all. I think these paths tend to get a little easy after a while and ramped difficulty definitely presents a refreshing challenge
as an aside pathfinder in general is a little more challenging and for that I am quite pleased
Male Human Oracle 20/ AC60,FF10,T60/ HP (9001/9000) /Init +60/Perception -1/Fort +30, Ref+30, Will +30
Dude it's fine! I'm with Michael up there, a difficult journey is more fun in the long run.
Plus the more big J gets knocked out the more we get to hear commentary on his hero's journey from his canine animal spirits. Right now it's mostly just Wolf and Coyote but I'm hoping Dog and Fox will be able to spice up any future bouts of involuntary unconsciousness on Jezzera's part.
Honestly I've never had more fun roleplaying someone who's asleep.
And don't worry - they won't interfere or do anything un-kosher. I'm just a sucker for flavor ;)

Feel free to flex time the Stag discussion.
I didn't want the day to stag-nate and went ahead and posted the next event.
I will probably be sporadic in posting tonight, going to roll some real d20s.
Human Rogue 3 / Druid 3 || AC 19 FF 13 T 16 || HP (24/33) || Init +6 || Fort +6 Ref +9 Will +8 || Perception +13
Same here. I don't have anything else to say to the stag.
Also, how did I know we were going to run into a snowman golem?
^^^agreed, the stag encounter is funnier/more poignant if he just sort of leaves without much hurrah, and we have more questions than answers.
Seriously though, first a talking deer and now a talking snowman? This is quite silly (in a good way) and at the same time it gives me MAJOR pause. I'm liking this AP a lot already.

One hour after a tended, dying character becomes stable, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check to become conscious. The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total. Conscious characters with negative hit point totals are treated as disabled characters. If the character remains unconscious, he receives another check every hour to regain consciousness. A natural 20 on this check is an automatic success. Even if unconscious, the character recovers hit points naturally. He automatically regains consciousness when his hit points rise to 1 or higher.
Just reading through the rules, I learned something today.
Can't keep the Kalhar down! Full HP, baby.
Point of fact, nonlethal heals at a rate of 1/hour. So Daegan is at 0 not -1
Male Human Oracle 20/ AC60,FF10,T60/ HP (9001/9000) /Init +60/Perception -1/Fort +30, Ref+30, Will +30
Unless I missed something Daegan is at 3. He was at 8. He then spent 1 round stunned.

Yep, There it is. Those d8s doing 5 damage. :)
If Kalhar wants to edit his action he can.
next time we get 8 hours I'm for SURE dropping Magic Stone for at least two Cure Lights. Because EVERYTHING IN THIS FOREST IS SCARY.
Male Human Oracle 20/ AC60,FF10,T60/ HP (9001/9000) /Init +60/Perception -1/Fort +30, Ref+30, Will +30
Yeah Max, your action is fine. Pretty much any action is fine till I "resolve" the situation.

it pays to be at full if you're the tank. I'll keep my healing.

At the risk of sounding like a loot hog, it makes the most sense for Daegan to take the composite bow. If you don't have the right strength score for it, you take a -2 to attack rolls, and don't get the benefit of a high strength to damage. That said, Daegan would be happy to give you his old bow (and make up for the difference in gold.) Two archers is definitely better than one.
Male Human Oracle 20/ AC60,FF10,T60/ HP (9001/9000) /Init +60/Perception -1/Fort +30, Ref+30, Will +30
Yeah, I agree that this makes the most sense.

Any questions on how I plan to run this combat?
Dan and Michael have seen me run a couple of encounters like this in the tabletop setting.
Basically you declare all of your actions to me and I'll act accordingly. I'll grant a +2 circumstance bonus for anything overly creative. Just remember you don't have a lot of time to plan or communicate.
I agree with Marz, I wasn't thinking entirely too clearly when I scoped that bow :P This is a good trade I think, your old one to me and the new one to you.
(Jezzera's still using his sling for this scene because he likes it better and Magic Stone)
Male Human Fighter 1/Alchemist 1, AC 18 (FF: 17, T: 11) / F:+8, R:+3, W:+0 / Perception: +5 / 20/28 HP

Just the three men that Daegan saw.
It's a lot of work for me to go through all the sheets and find your attack rolls. If we do this style again, rolls will be required instead of suggested. :)
