javelins are pretty good. more damage but slightly less range.

i had a burst of energy today and wrote quite a bit. What is in the gameplay thread is more or less the entirety of books 1-3. some things were omitted or changed for ease's sake.

im assuming that was cold damage dealt to us half BAB types. both of us have the northern ancestry trait (which is cold resistance 2) and i edited the player overview doc accordingly. if that is false, take 2 from me and Sarlene. also, I knew this was a bad idea, but i just had to know why! curiosity killed the fire-pelt cougar

max, i found a flaw on your character sheet that i thought you'd like to know. you have ranks in survival which means you get your class bonus to it. i edited it on the google doc but not your character sheet. your survival bonus is now +9

im going to suggest we put a time limit on loot list so it doesn't stagnate. stake your claim and if nobody else wants it, delete it and add it to your inventory after 2 days. fair?

is there any sort of knowledge check i can roll to know about the things the mercenary is talking about? or any sort of inferences? just so we get it out of the way to preserve fluidity
i have to say. this is way way waaaaay more fun than i had initially thought. pbp roleplay is goofy and awesome but sometimes two people post at the same time and it gets weird. i edited my post to include the entrance of Stephen and his womanservant Sarlene.

I stumbled upon this thread not two days after we finished our Kingmaker campaign in which we had a Aldori Sword wielder. Something I think that is overlooked is the Duelist prestige class. Our Swordlord was less than optimized but still ran an AC in the 40s with combat expertise (which only gets better with duelist) and had AC in the 50s against AoOs with enhanced mobility. Make it a straight dex build (his str was only 11) and use the Agile weapon quality from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide to add dex to damage instead of str. Also having a decent Int gives you more bonuses to AC and damage with canny defense and precise strike. The only drawback is you lose to higher level fighter feats like greater weapon spec and penetrating strike but he seemed to deal with DR the way a barbarian does (more damage!). food for thought if you care to think about it |
