Master Chymist (prc) requires the PC to turn into a different personality/alignment when metagened. I was thinking Kalhar would be TN and my alter ego would be CG

How much was our loothaul, anyways? I'm not sure that was ever divvied

I had a tournament on saturday, a D&D game right after, and then I drove to west virginia and back on sunday. By the time I got back on sunday night I was wiped.

side note: I'm not sure what's going on with this insect thing. Is this like a battle without initiative?

Jackal.

Oh god, I didn't even think about that. Will there be a new canine to advise Jezzera?

I have a feeling this rabbit hole is about to go about ten times as deep as we originally thought.

this was probably an overshoot, I'd say that was only six times deeper than I estimated

that fella is old indeed

I tend to pretty much forget about this game during the weekend. Sorry guys xD

"waiting on kalhar, psh", you FORGOT ABOUT MY POST D:

also daegan apparently doesn't need us for this fight

Mmmm, that body.

Kalhar wears his armor during his watch, but he left his spear at camp

Because noooooo we couldn't destroy the doll, that wouldn't open us up to horrible magic from the clearly evil object, instead we should carry it around and wait for the skeptic to get mind controlled ;_;

Those were some badass rolls, Shane

yeah they were!

hurk

I feel like we've fallen off a little bit lately. Keep hitting that refresh button moar!

The Crit Den is long deceased; it is the Campground we have lost.

is there some mention of what it takes to cross the bridge that I missed?

26 HP @ Level 2 (tell a friend.)

I feel like you could more gracefully work in "What's up, Dog?" without the heavy foreshadowing

yeah okay i'll be the first to admit I had no idea where I was going with the whole "lead the fairy on and make him think we didn't unlock the cage" idea
Lol I was wondering where it was headed. I like Kalhar's response: Rough but pragmatic.

That little brat had it coming.

Oh, that's pretty clever. Hm.

Can't keep the Kalhar down! Full HP, baby.

as an aside pathfinder in general is a little more challenging and for that I am quite pleased

tbh I really don't mind a difficult AP at all. I think these paths tend to get a little easy after a while and ramped difficulty definitely presents a refreshing challenge

what did you take if not heals D:

mutagen drank, time to lay down the law.

Alex.

I'm building towards Master Chymist, bombs are actually taking a backseat for Kalhar. Most of my s#~$ is going to revolve around taking mutagens to get super strong and tough, and then poisoning literally everything with a circulatory system while I beat the s$&# out of them

Krognar the Red... what an absolute beast. Most people just died when he daggered them, so if they survived he got very confused, and would usually come to the conclusion that they must be dagger theives. (He had a 4 int, thank you very much.)

And then the story called for a dagger-throwing contest, of all things

Sarlene demanding her harpoon back reminds me of an int3 orc thrower kniv/marz ran for a game I DM'd that was so dumb he thought the people he threw his knifes at (and got stuck in them) were then trying to steal them from him, so he would go and beat the s&&@ out of them for the knives back

Casters are almost strictly better in almost all RPGS than their non-caster counterparts, as long as you can handle the micromanagement.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Rogue? Who needs a rogue when we roll three and a half casters deep!
He said as he stepped on the fire trap tripwire in front of the secret door they had all missed. As the fires consumed his robes he thought to himself, "Gee evasion sure would be nice."

Dat Master Chymist evasion

Rogue? Who needs a rogue when we roll three and a half casters deep!

do you mind if we flex time a conversation in the meantime, i.e. on the way up? Or do you want to keep it clean for combat shenanigans?

I've been doing chat RP for a long time; it was what got me introduced to tabletop RP, and me+marz used to know a guy who would run AIM games all the time.

Once you get used to it, it actually lets your brain calm down and think about what you want to do and you tend to find yourself in a much more story-oriented environment where the characters can be illustrated easier for who they are, rather than forcing them to be constrained to what you can think of on the fly.

But seriously I'm at my computer all day at work, just send me a facebook message to let me know you've updated and I'd be more than happy to respond promptly (directed at everyone)
