Hey, gang, welcome again.
We will start playing after OutPost ends, or maybe a little before if our games seem to be winding down.
I am thinking we will play 7-24, Dead Man's Debt. According to PFS tracker, it is something you are all able to play. We will be playing at low tier.
This scenario is set in the Mwangi Expanse, and includes Ekujai elves and an 'ancient evil' if that influences what character you would like to bring. In keeping with the theme of this game, please bring a female character. Let's start out by discussing what character you would like to play.

Catorze |
I will be bringing Catorze, my Dashing Thief (Swashbuckler) / Achaeologist (Bard). She is character 14 for me, and yes, she really is a catfolk. I did Tier One at GenCon last year, and so I have the boon for her.
There will be no inspire courage from this selfish bard, alas. Catorze is built to be a slightly magical trap expert who fences with her rapier and has a lovely pair of boots that she is very proud of. She will have knowledge skills and disable device, though!
Up this point, she is a GM Baby, so she can be either Level 2 or Level 3 depending on whether I slow track the last level of Gallows of Madness on her or not. I will decide which she is based on what the group decides.
Background: she was born in the Mwangi and abducted to Osirion, where she was freed and learned to worship Bastet. So this adventure will be all about her going back home to place she barely remembers.
Hmm

Hullo all! I'm looking forward to this game. I'd guess it would be a good fit for this girl: a half-elf, half-Garundi from northern Garund. She was raised with anti-elf prejudice, which might present challenges, and on the whole she'd prefer desert over jungle, but she's definitely opposed to ancient evil at least.
Actually I don't have any other options - I only have two PFS characters so far and the other one is both male and occupied elsewhere. But I could also come up with a new one depending on what we need. Inventing new characters is hardly a chore. :D

Hello ladies!
Thanks for the invitation!
First off, Catorze sounds awesome! Haha.
I have a few ideas of who I'll bring, depending on what everyone else wants to play. I'll give it some further thought, but I'm currently thinking:
- I have a kitsune kineticist who grew up alone in the wilds. She has a fondness for powerful objects and evil magic. She's more than a little self-centered and tends to find people's 'sensitivities' amusing
- I have an melee focused occultist of mixed Taldane/Ulfen descent who is just a blast to play.
- Or I have a halfling sorceress of the celestial blood who's a chipper do-gooder
Thanks again, for having me! I'm excited to see what everyone else wants to play.

I too have options!
Suna, my nagaji battle oracle 2. She's been entirely play-by-post so far, so she's probably the most convenient. She seems to keep embarrassing herself in front of people she's trying to impress.
Jiyoki, my kitsune trickster 1 (going to be an arcane trickster). Con artist, good with skills, kinda meh in combat. Might overlap too much with Catorze.
Fareth, skinwalker hunter 1 with a bear companion (that will turn into an owlbear when a certain chronicle applies). Hasn't been played yet.
Aglynn, dwarf geokineticist 1. Hasn't been played yet.
Lady Ladile |
Oh gosh, if we're naming off options let's see...
1st Level Characters
Nimerah, half-elf Dawnflower Dervish fighter
Aki, kitsune Arrowsong Minstrel bard
Isme & Vita, half-elf Homuncultist alchemist & familiar
Layla + Hewie, human Wild Child brawler and her dog AC
Jacinth, elven Freebooter ranger
Lucina, halfling sorcerer
Katarina + Ashton, human spiritualist & Guardian phantom
Martine, Inspired Blade swashbuckler
Palomia + Relas, human U. Summoner & agathion eidolon
Minna, half-elven Spelleater bloodrager
2nd & 3rd Level Characters
Fran + Mr. Sunshine, half-elven Dimensional Occultist witch & cat familiar
Callah, undine Speaker for the Past shaman
Liora, sylph Sky Druid
...as you can see, I've got plenty of options to fill just about any sort of 'gap' we'd have! Layla, Lucina, Martine, and Minna are 'fresh' 1st level characters and Callah's only been played live up to this point. All the rest have at least one or two chronicles on them. Does anyone have any preferences on who/what they might like to see? :)

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Hi,
I have four options:
Clara Oswin Oswald, human investigator 1
Melody Pond, human archeologist 1
Laria Gruffmud, dwarven musket master 1
Dirva Ciraha, undine druid adept 1
I could also create a new one, if it's necessary.

Hi, I'm checking in with everyone. We said after OutPost, but if everyone's OutPost games are done early, we might start a little earlier. I think the game I'm GMing will probably be done in about two more weeks. I get the impression that my two player games for OutPost are probably going to be done at a similar time.

Well, I finally decided I'm going to bring my melee-focused occultist to this game. She's one of my favourites.
I'm excited to get started!
Lovissa's brave, bold and bombastic. Subtlety's not her strong suit, nor does she want it to be. She wants to walk her own path, make her own discoveries, and forge her name into a legend! She care's a great deal for honour, lineage and honesty, but believes that all of us are capable of more than what we are, or our families were, and with hard work we can live a life to be proud of.
Descended from a long line of Taldane Pathfinders who specialized in Kellid and Ulfen historical studies, Lovissa grew up far from home in the Land of the Linnorm Kings. Her mother was more than a little free-wheeling, and Lovissa has no idea who her father is (though he's certainly Ulfen), nor does she think that's strange at all. She acts more Ulfen than Taldan, and is proud of both of her heritage's. She spent most of her life on archaeological digs.
She's saved the lives of multiple Pathfinders, foiled some of the Aspis Consortium's plans in Diobel, and recently went back to Taldor for the first time, where she engaged in investigations, espionage and some good, old fashioned, a**-kicking. There's a commemorative plaque there now, proudly recounting her heroic deeds in saving the town of Ridonport, and she's earned the honour of requisitioning pieces from the museum there in times of need.
She makes friends and inspires her companions surprisingly often, considering she has little social skills. She's more than capable of healing her companions, but as a front-line fighter, its rare she'll get around to it in the middle of a battle.
She's capable of assisting in trap removal, and with magical objects, but neither are her specialty.
Aglynn Plossl |
I'll go with Aglynn! She is actually second level now.

I'm out of time for tonight but I'll try and get a character selected by tomorrow evening and have the relevant information posted. Alas, I was hoping I could play my vine leshy but I don't think I'll have time to make the character before we start.
Also, as a FYI, I'm currently out of town on a work training trip but will be heading home Friday evening. I should have a few free hours tomorrow evening after my class and some time intermittently Friday evening as I wait around in airports and such. Posting should pick up a bit again starting Saturday :)
GM Redelia |
Of course you're still welcome here, Baerlie.
Character lineup so far:
Hmm-Catorze-catfolk swashbuckly bard
Kate-Aglynn-dwarf kineticist
Lady Ladile-unknown-new vine leshy character
Elinnea-Caena-halfelf paladin
Meloriel-Lovissa-??? occultist
Baerlie-Dirva-Undine druid
Do I have this correct?
Unless I hear from anyone that they can't start yet, we will start Monday.
I'm really looking forward to this, ladies.
Caena Coldmoon |
Yup, it's Caena for me.

I usually try to go a little off stereotype with my characters, without being mechanically bad, but in this case a vine leshy is just so full of fun flavor that I couldn't resist playing to type. The other character concept I considered was a wood blast kineticist.
Soddy Daisy |
I have a name! Still thinking on class, though...
Catorze |
So what is the highest level character being played? Are we all still level 1-2? I want to know so that I know whether Catorze is level 2 or 3.
(Gm credit. It’s so malleable until the character is played.)
Hmm
Lovissa Halenbane |
Lovissa's level two.
Catorze |
Sounds like Catorze is level 2 then!
Soddy Daisy |
SD is complete! I'll straighten up her profile and get her tagline set up a bit later this evening but otherwise she's ready to go :)
GM Redelia |
OK, I'll look over everyone's characters and hopefully get us started tomorrow!
Just so I don't forget until the end, can everyone who hasn't yet please give me the needed information for your chronicle?
Also, please tell me anything odd I should know that your character does, or any grey areas that matter to your character. (Or something that needs special handling in PbP)
I am SO EXCITED that we're ready to get this one going!
Aglynn Plossl |
Aglynn is a pretty straightforward geokineticist. This will be my first time using her in PBP, but I don't expect anything to need special handling. I'll get her stats/tagline updated this evening.
Edited to add: There are two things I should probably call attention to. My defensive talent, Flesh of Stone, gives me DR that will vary a little. I've got it marked in my tagline.
I also have the Defensive Strategist trait (Praise Torag!) which means that I am not flat-footed at the start of combat.

Let me know what additional information you need! SD isn't too terribly different from most alchemists, though her bombs are actually seedpods that deal bludgeoning damage and also have a deafening effect if a target fails their save against it.

This will be my first time playing a druid. If I do something odd, please let me know.

Hmmm... Lovissa doesn't have anything particularly complicated you'll need to worry about.
She'll likely have two resonant powers active at the start of the scenario, which she might not have in use by the end, but both are static increases so you won't have to worry about it, as I'll already have it taken account into my stats (Third eye gives her +1 perception, and physical enhancement gives her +2 strength).
Her most complicated ability is object reading.
And... That should be it. Her focus powers aren't complicated, she's not go weird feats, or tactics, and her spells are straight forward.
Caena Coldmoon |
I don't know how you feel about Detect Evil; I'm aware that there's some disagreement out there about its use and effects. I generally only use it if I want to make sure I'm not wasting a smite, and not to suss out wickedness in the general population, so hopefully it won't be a problem.
The only thing I have that's not standard paladin is the inspired trait, so I can roll twice to get the better on a skill check once per day.
