I still need to get Catorze together. (I concentrated most of the weekend on that last insane fight in Salvation of the Sages, trying to make sure that my group could finish before the end of OutPost!) My apologies. I'll start putting her together, but I may not be set up until tomorrow.

As a heads up I'm working later tonight and tomorrow night and where I might normally have some free time to post (night shift *usually* isn't too busy during the warmer months) I probably won't as I'll have a coworker with me for training. So if my posting is a bit sluggish until Wednesday, that'll be why!
That said, I've got time now so off to Gameplay!

I'll respond to Lovissa and Agylnn later this afternoon after I've had a little rest but I was thinking last night and thought I'd ask: are there any cool scenarios that involve plants/nature that might be fun or appropriate to play Soddy D in? :)
Also, Soddy D totally sounds like a rapper name...

Not one of the Mwangi tribes. I think there are some elves in Osirion who are related to them but not actually wild elves? That's what I had in mind when I came up with her backstory. (Admittedly my knowledge of geography and cultures mostly comes from reading wikis so I don't actually know that much about them.)

FYI, I leave on vacation Thursday morning for a week. I should have leisurely mornings and wi-fi available, but just in case, I've added botting instructions for Aglynn.

Catorze finally has her statblock entered! I just need to put in a botting spoiler, and a list of some of her boons.
One of the Boons on her is from PaizoCon 2017 -- It allows an additional trait from the Iron Fang Players Guide.
This is the trait I chose:
Blight-Burned: You were raised deep in the Fangwood Forest, but in your childhood the Darkblight overtook your community, and blighted fey attacked your friends and family. Even after escaping, you barely survived infection by the otherworldly fungal disease and still bear a terrible scar from your ordeal. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Fortitude saving throws against disease or poison (your choice), and your scar now throbs painfully in the presence of unnatural creatures, immediately alerting you to their presence. This sixth sense alerts you to the presence of aberrations, oozes, and all creatures with the blighted fey and fungal creature templates within 30 feet (though it doesn’t indicate their exact location). You can always act during the surprise round against such creatures, and you aren’t considered flat-footed against such creatures in the first round of combat.
I decided that a dashing scar that gave me a bonus to fighting off diseases and alerted me to the presence of aberrations and oozes was nifty, so I went with it. Where should I put my dashing scar? Maybe under the hair that's falling in my face?
Also, if any of you have played Gallows of Madness, I took Gellion as a porter for my porter vanity. After all, that kid really needed to get out of Saringallow.

I realize that I'm holding everyone up. I'm involved with closing down Salvation of the Sages and my bandwidth is stretched a bit thin here. Christine, if you'd rather get started now, I can withdraw.
I think that part of what may be blocking me here is the realization that Catorze is on this ship and she hasn't talked to the other Pathfinders yet. She's outgoing, so I need to process what she's been doing instead and then make my appearance.
Oh. Wait. I think I have an idea for this now.
::Goes off to plot her entrance.::

We can wait if you need us to. I was actually purposely drawing out the part where you guys introduce yourselves, because that's easier to do a little of slowly while waiting for everyone to be ready. I apologize that I did not make more clear that was what I was doing.

Yeah, it's just the intro. No rush, Catorze. We'll be here when everyone's ready.
@ Kate: I just realized you wrote the Sanctuary of Drowned Delights. Excuse me while I squeal with glee. That's my favourite STarfinder Scenario that's been released so far. Love it! I cannot wait until my kids characters are tier 3 so I can run it for them. They're going to have a blast.

I don't mind at all - some extra chatting is fun too, before we're thrown into mortal peril (probably).

Ditto on being quiet; I've not felt well for a couple of days and that's largely kept me away from the forums. Thankfully I'm feeling a bit better now though so I promise I'll catch up with everything shortly!
Catorze

I hope you two feel better soon!
Hey a sudden family matter came up this weekend — I’m not going to be on a lot. Consider me absent.
Hmm
Soddy Daisy

Thanks Hmm and I hope everything is okay/will be okay/works out okay. Hang in there!

Thanks for the kind words! My favorite part about running it is that it never plays out exactly the same way twice. I just ran two tables for OutPost, and both groups started a combat in the same room at the same time, but against different opponents!
| Gellion |
Gellion looks down, trembling. “You wouldn’t push me off! You promised Majara that you’d get me to safety!” Then he looks at Catorze’s narrowed eyes and climbs for everything he’s worth.
[dice=Climb]1d20+1
“Hey, I made it!” He sits for a minute in the Crow’s Nest, excited that he made it. “Wait. How do I get down?” He looks over to Catorze, who is grinning at him. “Oh nuts. Back the way we came?” Tremblingly, he begins to climb down, reaches his foot...
[dice=Climb]1d20+1
...for a foothold that’s not there, and starts to fall.
“AAAAAAAaaaaaaiiiiiiiiieeeeee!” he shouts, cartwheeling into space.
Technically as a porter I can't do skill checks. But that made for some irresistible pregame RP.

Really? I will have to read the other table's game now! I'm a curious cat.

I am back from vacation and ready to roll!

Great. I think I’m ready to go now!

Sounds good to me!

Not that anyone's said anything but in retrospect I realized that Soddy D might be sounding a little ah...disrespectful?...asking about Dirva's skin color and such, which isn't intentional. I'm still trying to get into her character and I'm trying to look at how a nature spirit in a viney, humanoid-shaped shell would look at different peoples like undines and catfolk and the like and how she'd relate to them. It's a little bit of an alien mindset even though her creator Poffis did teach her some stuff. So she's curious and may phrase things strangely at times but she (and I) are not intentionally trying to be offensive or anything like that.
| GM Redelia |
I didn't take Soddy's comment as disrespectful; it was more like the little child who sees something a person with a different skin color or body piercing for the first time and asks about it. Sure, if you're the parent of such a child, it can be mortifying, but the child is just being curious and trying to understand.

Not I!

No special disease abilities.
So I have a character named Daisley who is also in a PBP right now. If I misspell Soddy Daisy's name in that particular way, that's why!

Nope.

Catorze only has her Blightburned Trait.

Advanced warning, ladies: My power will be out tomorrow (again) and I might not have a chance to post. Thanks!
Soddy Daisy
|
Huh? I'm confused but I hope you weren't meaning that Dirva had somehow bothered Soddy or anyone else, because I don't think that's the case at all. Also, good to hear from you and I hope that all is well! :)
Lovissa Halenbane
|
Yeah, are you alright? You haven't posted since the boat.
Soddy Daisy

Ahhh, understood.

Thanks! There's actually a town in Tennessee, located near Chattanooga, called Soddy-Daisy and it was the first thing that popped into my head when I was thinking of a name for this character.
My husband (who also plays Pathfinder but not PbP) gave me this look when I told him what I named her :3
Soddy Daisy

Oh cool! My -01 is an Ecclesitheurge of Shelyn, though she's just a human. Wish I could've scored a grippli boon but alas, I hadn't started GMing yet when they were in rotation.

Can Gellion carry more people’s stuff, or just Catorze’s?

I love how diverse this group is, by the way. Just sayin' :)
