Okay; character stats and gear are up. I still need to add a feat, maybe buy another piece of gear and the rest is writing up the story. If there's anything i missed please let me know. :)

"Oh, oh oh over here! I'd love to make friends! Especially ones who want to die!" :-D

Actually, I need a few more things from you guys before we start.
Do any of you know each other?
Can you guys update your most recent background? The adventure assumes you've made arrangements to meet a dwarven Starfinder named Duravor Kreel in Docking Bay 94 on Absalom Station. Kreel has promised to show you around the station, help you get settled, and facilitate your membership into the Starfinder Society. The adventure assumes that you are all passengers on the shuttle Okimoro, which has just arrived at Absalom Station, landing in Docking Bay 94. If you've never left the station, please come up with some other reason to be in the docking bay when the shuttle lands. This could be to meet with Kreel, if you wish.
Dribble
Dribble has never left Vesk-3, content to be among friends and family. Recently she heard of the Scoured Stars incident and the Starfinder Society. She understands that the society is a place where friendships are fostered and discoveries made. She does not care much for the discovery part but feels the pain for everyone that has lost a friend of loved one in the Scoured Stars incident. That is when she realized that she could try to fill that gap! Searching the infosphere she found a dwarf that was recruiting for the society: Duravor Kreel. Using the little funds she had she booked passage to Absalom Station
Dribble might know others, because she has just met them on the shuttle, I hope you do not mind that I posted something in gameplay to that effect.
Kotora
I too have lived my whole life on Vesk-3 so Dribble and I could have met before. Been a rough few days with work and niece going to ER.
I should be able to get updated background up today and I'm more than willing to tie in with someone.
Allain
hope your niece will be okay.
I've made my initial post, and please note the name change... figured he'd need an alias to not be found too easily by those who might be hunting him, even though they think him dead, using his old name would be like sending up a red flag.
Cha'Vishtyr
Cha'Vishtyr is a Shirren who very recently branched off from the hive and swarm. The decision left his mind shattered. As the Hive mind washed over city after city Cha'Vishtyr witnessed as it killed every man woman and child to feed in a mindless movement to survive. He watched as numerous offspring were sent in and slowly his mind started to open and wander away from the hive. He heard a call in the back of his head. The soft voice of Hylax. "I have been waiting a long time for you child...."
With that the Goddess opened up Cha'Vishtyr's shattered mind even further, greatly rewarding him with the power of healing wounds in exchange for friendship and peace. With that he decided from this point on that he could use this to even out and heal the destruction caused by the swarm.
The only downside is of course his shattered mind. As he gets closer to a group of people and in stressful situations his mind splinters, believing his children to have been harmed. He must tend to their wounds. (Helicopter parent).
He believes after being contacted by the Starfinder Society that he will be able to slowly make amends.
Dribble
Kotora, I hope your niece will fully recover from whatever brought her to ER.
I have left the relationship beween Kotora and Dribble open, we can be strangers who have met on the spaceship or relatives, but I first wanted to get your opinion on it. I would like us to be nieces, that is far enough away that we can just insert things in gameplay without having to discuss it first and close enough that there is a connection.
Kotora
Hmmm.....to maintain a relationship but be distant enough to not have issues we could be cousins. I'm not sure how your family dynamic is, but for myself that could work. See each other on the occasional family function, hear about each other through other relatives, but haven't exactly been a major part of each others day to day lives. That the kind of distance you're thinking?
Climbing aboard the vessel, the violet woman took a final look back to her home. ”I wonder how long I’ll be gone.” she muttered, before looking up to the sky. ”Its ok. I’ll be back when Weyden determines its time! Now, I’m off to see whats out there!” she exclaims. Quickly giving the crewman holding the passenger manifest a hug, she looks for an open seat.
As Kotora settles in, her mind wanders back to her life. She felt lucky to have the Vesk looking after her and those of her kind. ’Such a nice people’ she considers. If it hadn’t been for their presence, she likely would never have had the chance to pilot a vessel. They’d had a need for someone to test thier ships, and she’d been willing to help.
’Helping people is what it’s all about, afterall.’ It’s like her mom had always said. ”No one is an enemy. We are friends with all in the verse. Those you find to be enemies are simply friends you haven’t met yet.”
She could have stayed here for the rest of her days. It is a richly pleasant planet. ’I probably would have if they hadn’t given me that shirren ship to fly.” ponders the skittermander. Having found that holy text and realizing it was her duty to search out and explore those worlds beyond her own...Then to find out Dribble was venturing out as well?
”It was a sign!” shrieks the woman to an aisle full of shocked strangers. Spying Dribble seated a few rows away, she hops down from her perch and scurries over to her cousin. ”Are you ready? Let’s do this cous!” Giving a tight squeeze to the fellow adventurer, she settles into a seat next to her. ”Now, tell me more about this dwarf we’re supposed to me. What is a dwarf anyway?”
If there are any issues, I can make adjustments Redelia/Dribble. Don't hesitate to comment.
If this works for you, I'll add it into my profile Redelia.
Sorry for the delay, my keyboard broke yesterday and after I spent between 2 and 3 hours formatting a post for another game on my phone, I just couldn't do it to the others. Got a new keyboard now!
Dribble
That is exactly what I was thinking Kotora!
I am not a native english speaker. I thought a female cousin is a niece, what is the difference? In both cases the parents are siblings aren't they?
Ack O' Light
a cousin is your parent's sibling's child. The child of your uncle or aunt.
a niece or nephew is your sibling's child. Your brothers or sisters kid.
Jaxy Savin
Sorry for not getting a post together earlier, last week/weekend was extremely busy at work, but it is over now and I should be able to get back into the swing of things!
First and foremost, if possible I’d love to tie into either Dribble’s and/or Kotora’s backstory. I’m thinking he could probably be an acquaintance or friend of a few weeks.
Secondly the recent back story!
Jaxy double checks all of his weapons are powered down with the safeties on before he finally heads up the ramps to the shuttle. After having stubbornly fought half the shuttleport staff about the precious tools, he had to make sure that they didn’t accidentally go off and hurt someone, or worse, give them the gift of death if they weren’t ready.
As he checks the last, and largest weapon, the setting of Vesk-3’s sun glinting off it distracts him for a second. He glances out at the scenery as the few memories he has of the place that supposedly was his home planet wanders through his mind for a second.
When the Experiment that had been Jaxy’s whole life was declared an unmitigated failure and a waste of resources, he had been shipped off to Vesk-3. Luckily he was dumped with all of the precious gear sized for him that the Army couldn’t sell off.
He’d been lucky to make some new friends, after a few puzzling rebuffs from people when he offered his gift. They provided the bluish-purple skittermander a place to stay and some food in exchange for some relatively light labor. But after searching and searching, he’d been unable to find anything that allowed him to use his skills and bring everlasting peace to people. That is until a friend told him about Duravor Kreel and the Starfinders.
Realizing the pilot has been angrily staring at him for a few seconds, Jaxy picks up his feet and scurries onto the craft, jingling slightly as the multitude of weapons move about. He takes a moment to scurry around passing out small cards with hastily written notes on the backs to everyone on the shuttle, before he excitedly alights on the edge of a window seat. He readjusts the many weapons strapped to his back before he looks out the window and waits impatiently for his second ever shuttle flight to start.
Kotora
Jaxy, I've no issue with you tieing in with Kotora. She would have spent most of her time in and around the shipyards on Vesk-3.
Perhaps you encountered her when you first arrived with your pile of undersized military gear? Or something better a more creative mind could come up with? :-P
Dribble
Jaxy, I am also fine with knowing you. Dribble was working in a child-care facility, but eventually got bored (again), that is when she heard about the Starfinders. We could have met when you were trying to give the children your little cards...

I like both ideas! I would say once Jaxy met Kotora, he probably would have started working part time at the port moving things and Dribble and the kids might have come to see the port at some point.
Cha'Vishtyr
I am beginning my flight overseas now. (Military) I am going far for 24-48 hours but will get Internet as soon as possible.
Not as necessary. First couple rounds Cha’Vishtyr will walk through the laser fight bee lining for Kreel to make sure he is okay and heal him.
Cha'Vishtyr
@GM- Anyway we can get damage broken out into Stamina and HP. My healing waves only affect HP so I would need to know when folks are actually taking damage past their Stamina
Cha'Vishtyr
Sounds good. They just made it a little difficult as Mystics can heal HP but not stamina and Envoys can do the opposite.
Kotora
Red 3 would provoke from me, right? Since the taclash I have out has reach? I'm beat from work, so will be am before I post
Ack O' Light
i've been a bit passive lately, but i'm keeping tabs up. Been really sleepy and spacey lately; sorry if i seem a little absent posting wise. =w=;;

Hey, I wanted to check with you guys that everyone is OK with things that feel like they may be recurring setting things in this AP.
1. Emergency goblin rations. It feels to me like a fun recurring silliness, and goblins are described as always hungry.
2. People you meet looking on skittermanders as nice and huggable but a bit flighty and untrustworthy.
Jaxy Savin
OK with them? I'm loving them! They help to round out the world a bit more, making it seem more believable and drawing us in as well, all in a few words.
Kotora
I too approve of the recurrent theme. It helps make the world feel real I think.
I am ready to move forward as well, when the others are.
Allain
RECURRENT oops themes and tropes are fine with me and make for some fun.
also: sorry if I'm slow posting the last few days and the next few as well... We are suffering from high winds and surrounded by fires in all directions. Constant power outages from the winds and service outages from both power problems and the fires are playing hell with my connection. I will post as I can, but please bot me if necessary.. thanks.

I was also trying to make sure that the four players whose characters are being in some sense 'stereotyped' are OK with it.
While I could see these potentially being problematic for some people, they sort of fit how we've been playing our characters, from what I see. Also they are very neutral (or even positive, Free food! Woo-hoo!) so they aren't as problematic as some stereotypes could be.
Also I'm okay with moving on!
Cha'Vishtyr
I am always good with recurring theme. The only thing I see as could be probelmatic is if everyone found the Skittermanders untrustworthy and didn't want to talk to them.
We are a pretty motley crew with little 'face'. You take the Skittermanders out and we are left with a goblin (Probably even less trustworthy.), A drow (About in the same boat as a goblin due to his murderous kind), and a Shirren (Who most don't quite trust as well)
Ack O' Light
i was more surprised by the emergency gob rations; i chuckled at it. I actually love that goblins are garbage disposals to an almost literal degree. I was planning to make sure the hunger wouldn't be disruptive, but i think it will be amusing how the goblin and his AI interpret the formality.

The skittermanders will be terrific at getting people to be friendly, those who are business-like may just request that someone else also speak.
Drow seem to have cleaned up their reputation a bit, so those who are business-like are likely to feel comfortable talking to Allain.
I'm mostly making sure no one objects to the flavor; it's unlikely to have major mechanical consequences.

Seems I didn't advise this table...
Thursday, I will not be posting. Have to travel out of state for a funeral. I should be able to keep up the rest of the week.
That said, if you need to bot Kotora to keep up the pace, by all means feel free to do so.
