Do you mind my tossing weapon infusion on my taclash? If it's ok, I'd be grabbing the 'Called' infusion.

I sometimes have too much fun thinking up rhymes. I read a couple goblin songs and thought it would be fun to throw them in. Now Ack knows the songs of his people, and i may continue to throw them in randomly and appropriately according to the mood.

It makes me wonder what songs they'd sing in the Starfinder setting. Something like: 'Be careful or you be Dead; if the wire you cut is Red'

I like the set up you gave though; made both posts that much better

question for those of you who have run this:

This fight seems ridiculously hard. Am I misinterpreting something? The drift dead is incorporeal right now, so non-magical kinetic attacks do no damage and other attacks do half damage. The confusion is keeping almost half your team from acting.

That is correct non-magical kinetic attacks that do not deal force damage deal no damage. Though all the laser pistols and element type weapons will still deal damage, though only half. My group was just lucky and had a technomancer and mystic that could both full cast magic missile. This is a very tough fight.

I agree. My team has one mystic who blasted through this encounter with her magic missiles. They were also lucky that no one was confused. Also be prepared for the last fight of this book; that one is extremely hard

In this case, since this is campaign mode, I can decide that I think a rule is stupid.

Cha' pointed out to me that undead are in the book immune to nonlethal damage. For this particular enemy, they've made this annoying creature immune to so much else that I'm going to say non-lethal weapons do lethal damage. That means that non-lethal energy weapons will do half damage, but non-lethal kinetic weapons will still be unable to hurt it.

Just figured out how i can install the fusion core i have. It takes my engineering skill, 10 minutes, and a blunt weapon of at least 5th lvl for this one; so it won’t work with my assault hammer at the moment. Bummer...

Everyone, I'm almost done with chronicles and stuff. We're almost to the final fight. Considering this is campaign mode, character death won't change the results, and you guys have done enough to earn full credit, so I can take care of all this stuff and concentrate on just the fun part.

I also want to chat with all of you about something. I'm feeling really burnt out on long-term games, so what I'd like to do is the following: When we finish the current book (probably a week or two) I will mark the campaign inactive until early October, when I'll mark it active again. We will then have about two weeks to handle any preparations we need to start book 2. I'm purposely making the timing match up with Gameday sessions to make it easier for you guys to find other fun stuff to do. During that time, I'll do lots of short term stuff and be ready to get back into this game (and my other long term game) in the middle of October. Does this sound reasonable to everyone?

Redelia, that sounds fair. Also take a think whether you want to continue with book 2. If book 1 is all you want to do then that is fine. The game needs to be fun for everyone, including the GM.
