I still need to convert skills and everything else from 3.0 to Pathfinder, so I feel your pain - just in a different place :P

Tam almost doubles over from the hit, but manages to keep his footing. "Um, Ryo - any other pointers we may be missing on stopping this guy?"

He takes to the air himself to level the playing field as best he can, slamming down a potion as he does so.

Tam heals 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4, 4) + 5 = 19 damage

Second round of Vitriolic Sphere does 6d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 6, 2, 2) = 23 acid damage to Keaton

Seeing the damage the vampire's touch did to Tamrin, Aananda decides to alter tactics a little. She breaks off two legs of the nearest table and twirls them a little to get some idea of their balance. She turns, intending to close and attack Keaton with her makeshift weapons, only to see him take off into the air.

How close is he to the walls or a pillar or anything, should she decide to take it into her head to run up them?

Kelgore's Grave Mist is 20ft high and 20ft wide, and is always centered on the caster. Kannic was within 15ft. and I assumed Tamrin moved close enough when he flew up. Given that he is more of a ranged fighter, you can ignore the damage(and the fatigue) if you want.

He raises two cards and crosses them over one another.

"Fire and Arrow, pierce their bodies and burn their flesh!"

What seems like hundreds of fiery arrows appears in front of Ryo and the younger Keaton, and shoot toward Kannic, Tamrin, and Aananda.

He looks up at Kannic, Tamrin, and Aananda, anger, grief, and memories clouding his eyes and judgement. Aananda sees tiny motes in his eyes, but not the ones that are usually there.

"No one hurts my little brother!"

He raises two cards and crosses them over one another.

No worries. Thought it might be area effect. Gotta get me a sneak attack on that little bugger and actually roll well.

Aananda is able to twist and dodge away from most of the arrows, but a few get past her guard.

Basically, she made her Ref save for half damage. I'd do the actual roll if I had any sort of you know, character sheet. But since I didn't think we actually needed them, well I don't. Besides, it would give away too much. ;)

lol. I put together Kannic for a DMPC for my Pathfinder group. This is a good way to 'road test' him. :)

Kannic holds his breath as the volley of arrows flies. Sensing that Ryo is under some sort of compulsion he uses Detect Magic to try and see if the image of the young Keaton is an image, and if so he then looks for the source.

It's an illusion alright. He's using his Mask of Lies to make himself look alive, and is also using it to make him look like his younger self. Combine that(a penalty to will saves for Ryo), and Keaton's Dominate ability, and you have one failed save. It doesn't help that Ryo just wants this whole to be a really bad dream.

Keaton cries out as Aananda attacks him, and clings to Ryo's cloak, playing the part of the scared and defenseless little brother quite well.

Still invisible, Kannic shifts, using his Detect Magic to hopefully spot the real creature.

It's a mask. The real creature is standing were the kid is, and the mask's magic is making the illusion.

He holds it up in front of his eyes, and Aananda sees motes going from Ryo's eyes and sticking to the blade. When it looks like the blade can hold no more, all the motes surge back into his body, suffsing it with energy. With a flick of his wrist, Ryo flips the dagger into a pillar.

Belief is a powerful thing, and self-hypnotism is even stronger.

"You're going to want to leave now."
