Wade Willhelm v2 |
"Fine material this is, I wonder if we could repair these, get them back to working order if not we could make some good armor or weaponry out of this"
qwerty71 |
@Wade- you would not be able to repair them but you could either smelt them down to re-use the materials or sell them for scrap. smelting them for re-use would require a craft/profession roll.
Syldran |
"Let's see how long this next room will contain us for. The previous rooms haven't been much of a challenge."
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
qwerty71 |
the only item of note in this room is the barred door. It is heavy and will take more than one person to lift the bar off the door to open the door.
Bracnos |
Bracnos walks up to the door and gives a hand in trying to open it..
Str check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
and he can't seem to get good footing...slips and slides down to door...
Bracnos looks up..
"well lets try that again then..."
Lillith Frostmourne |
She shakes her head
"Let me help"
She uses her arcane power to boost their efforts
Guidence on the lot...

Graz'ul |
Muscle of the Society adds 2 to this if you count lifting a bar as similar enough to lifting a portcullis.
Strength Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
qwerty71 |
with the help of others Graz is able to lift the bar off its spot and it crashes to the ground with a loud thud. Beyond the door lies another hallway that stops at a new door. The door also bears an inscription: “Suffer not the fool. Stupidity is our faith’s cardinal sin.”
Bracnos |
oh well then fine..I mean I come up with good points but nono it's fine....┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐ lol..but no my int is 8,,,

Wade Willhelm v2 |
first impressions, you very firmly gave the impression that you were an idiot when we were in the prison. Any incidents contradicting this are taken to be outliers. After all is it not true that even a stopped clock is right twice a day? This impression can be changed, but it will take a while. Wade is very much an eletiest
qwerty71 |
Graz and the others near the door peer into the room with caution...they see a square chamber with a podium in its center...the chamber is lit only by a hanging oil lantern... upon the podium lies a pendant of silver...
Syldran |
"Mmmmm, this is better. Now we have to figure out if it is foolish to blindly rush into the chamber, or if it is stupid to waste time speculating when it is a harmless chamber. I feel the first is more likely, but we have no idea what to expect."
Happy for finally getting to an interesting chamber, Syldran squats near the door, and continues to observe the dark room.
Lillith Frostmourne |
"Boys, if you would excuse me..." she grins as a spectral hand picks up the pendant from the podium and brings the item to them

The pendant-a dragon with sapphire eyes- is silver though of no great craftsmanship and worth 5 gp is now in Lilliths hands.
There is also a stairway leading up to the east.
Syldran |
"My my, the enchantress just does as she pleases."
He gives her an evil grin.
"You ruined all of the fun!" ;)
He peers back into the room, looking at the staircase.
"I suppose we should head to the stairs, hmm?"
Bracnos |
Bracnos crosses his arms and looks down to the staircase
"well then don't let me stop you"
He said to Wade motioning with his had "after you"
Razul Tarym |
Razul examines the pendant closely.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 or...
Appraise 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
To the others, "They did tell us "nine" trials. This would only be the sixth. I do not think we are finished yet."
Graz'ul |
"Hrm...maybe this is the stupidity it referenced. Don't be mislead by false objectives. There must be more trials...outside? wouldn't those stairs lead outside?"
Razul Tarym |
Razul checks for other exits first. Then he will investigate the stairs.
West wall 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
South wall 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
stairs 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
I am assuming that Wade is still casting guidance as he stated before. Also, if there are traps, add 1 more to each of those perception checks.
And the fabulous die rolls for perception continue....
We need the perception people to be doing this searching
Syldran |
"Leave this to me, wouldn't want you to pop an eye muscle now..."
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
In the same order as Razul
Wade Willhelm v2 |
Wade will bemusedly cast guidance on whoever's looking stating in a mocking tone "father willhelm blesses your efforts young one" he tries and fails to keeps strait face before chuckling at his words and illusitory mitran garb.
Lillith Frostmourne |
"Well, at the very least the room didnt cave in on us" she chuckles

The team searches the room with the pedestal in it. They detect nothing of interest.
Syldran manages to find a secret door on the West wall that leads to a 'L' shaped corridor. The Corridor ends at a door. There is another inscription upon the door: “Secrecy is our greatest ally. Exposure brings death.”
Lillith Frostmourne |
"This must be what the young man said about the screaming thing?"

Wade Willhelm v2 |
Seeing her prep for entering the room. Wade likewise casts guidance on himself, before motioning for the barbarians to open the door.
Graz'ul |
I feel like I'm being pigeonholed. lol
"Alright, here goes nothing."
Graz'ul opens the door and prepares for the worst.
qwerty71 |
Graz opens the door and discovers the room is completely dark. He peers into the stone room and sees a patch of bare earth surrounded by a two inch tall brick circle. From the soil grows a mansized purple mushroom with a strange bulbous cap.
Syldran |
"Hmm, that's an interesting mushroom. Perhaps I know a little about it?"
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Bracnos |
aliens lol come on face hugger
" I wonder what that is... might not want to get too close to it I have a feeling you're likely to get poisoned by it"

Syldran |
"Ah yes, I've seen this one before. It doesn't like light too much, so I would be careful with that halo of yours, angel boy. ;) If we can somehow take it out from afar, we'll be a lot safer. I don't feel like going deaf just yet."
Annak Malvari |
Annak also loos at the plant to see if she knows anything about it...Nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15... not as much as Syldran...Annak steps up and peers into the room...
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12... before take a shot with her longbow...
Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21..."What? You said attack it from a distance... I did"
qwerty71 |
Annak hits the mushroom from a distance. The mushroom still shrieks but since none of the party are close to it or in the room, the ear piercing scream does not affect the party members.
Bracnos |
Bracnos looks around...
"was the point for to be noticed or were we trying to be undetected? "
He shakes his head
"well let's see what's down this way bracnos walks down to hall to the next door and opens it..."
heart beat from resident evil 1 as I open the door...
-Posted with Wayfinder
qwerty71 |
Bracnos enters the room where the shrieker mushroom was located and sees nothing else of value other than a door to the west. Bracnos does hear a distant thumping sound coming from past the door...
Bracnos |
Bracnos turns and looks at the door, he then walks up to it and places his hand on the door
" behind this door there's pain sadness in a potential evil from a dark place."
Bracnos opens the door ready for the worse. ..
