moved bracnos to the front and wade in the back inside the room

the party left him and he went and hid again

The team inspects the coffins and determine they are just regular dead sailors, not undead.

"Nine trials he said, so this is the eighth room we've entered and it looks like our final goal should be next. Prepare yourselves."

"I always come prepared." he says with a grin.

Just to be on the safe side wade chops off the sailor's heads and seperate a them from the bodies.

The party opens the nest door and see yet another hallway which ends at a stout door. This door is wooden and reinforced with iron bands. It is locked with a good lock. Above the door bears an inscription: “Serve thy master well and be rewarded.” Hanging beside the door on a peg is a heavy iron key that unlocks the door.

"Well, that looks rather simple."

Graz'ul rolls his shoulders and hops in place. He cracks his knuckles and his neck.

"Let's do this!"

Annak readies her bow, then uses her hair to grab the key and from 10 feet away she unlocks the door.

"The door is open"

Syldran snorts.

"And here I thought this was supposed to be challenging."

the door opens and the party barely sees a large man in knights armor armed with a sword standing at one end of the room.

"What am I doing here?" he asks. "Are you here to save me?"

Wade smirks thinking there's no way that's a coincidence and changes his appearance to that of an slightly older cleric of mitra and lights his halo as he swiftly moves forward "sir balin is that you? Praise be to all that is holy!

"Yes it is me Balin....do I know you? he squints his eyes.

Lord Balin is the man mostly responsible for the arrest of you all. Either he commanded the troops or he personally apprehended you. He is a fanatical Mitra follower.

Razul will make sure his appearance is nondescript before moving into the room.

"After we kill him, I want his teeth. I remember his cruelty all too well."

I hope that was your "inside" voice :)

damn as much as my character so badly wants to be there as we kill him. I'm going to have to sit this out I'm getting on the plane right now I'll be checking back in either late Sunday or early Monday morning have a good weekend :-)

Syldran pulls his hood down further to ensure his face is obscured. Those who are close enough to see him can tell that he is suppressing a huge smile.

if trying to lie to him, you will need either a bluff or diplomacy roll to be convincing

Graz'ul already has his standard "I'm totally not a half-orc" disguise up with the circlet. Anywhere that we haven't previously assured is safe, assume it's up.

Graz'ul smiles at Razul and nods. He steps into the room.

"Sir Balin! We've been looking for you! We've already found Timeon, the poor boy. He's hiding now, awaiting only our signal that the escape route is safe. Come, sir. I'll take the rear should any diabolical surprises attack from behind."

Take note that not a word of what I said is a lie. ^_^

I love my wife, she only did not want me playing as we were sightseeing. So I'm posting from the hotel...so where are we...ah OK my character still looks like an older man in all white clothing. .

Bracnos steps forward and takes a knee in front of him

He looks up briefly lowering his eyes again

finally someone who knows how to lie properly, let their assumptions work for you, wade is an aasimar most people assume that means that he would never think to lie or hurt a single soul

Exactly how did you all come to this place again?"he says to the group.

If he doesn't allow Wade to touch him, Graz'ul will hurry over to his side.

"It would be an honor to squire for one such as you, Sir Balin. Might I bear your sword for you?"

If he gets bad-touched by Wade before I get there, I guess I'll just wait for initiative to be rolled.

Sir Balin is wary of some of Father Wilhelms companions but seems to trust the 'Mitra' cleric approaching him. "Please tell me your tale of woeARRRRGGGGGHHHH!" he screams out in pain as the guise drops and black magiks course through his body for an instant. Balin is incensed as is he is now confronted by people that are his sworn enemy, Asmodeous worshipers. "You foul Deceivers! I shall kill all of you!"

well played Wade and Graz. Annak was going to let him see her true form to initiate combat regardless. Remember... his teeth...

Griping his new axe tighter bracnos drops the magical glamor and shows his true from. Fire comes forth blazing out of his eyes and covering his hands.

Bracnos swings wide with the Great Axe and Sir Balin retorts "HA! You peasant. You dare to challenge a knight of Mitra in personal combat! Tis your undoing!"

WHOO! I rolled higher than 10 for initiative! lol

Swift action into Pummeling Style, full-attack. Oh, and I'm flanking! Maybe I'll actually hit!

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 = 7
Damage 1: 1d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 1 = 9 plus bleed

Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 = 14
Damage 2: 1d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8 plus bleed

Attack 3: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 2 - 2 + 2 = 9

Guess not. I'm gonna go do some math on what percentage of Graz'ul attack rolls have actually hit. ^_^

Razul has little use for threats and recognizes that Sir Balin, despite all his pomposity, is a deadly foe. Therefore he moves up and tries to end the fight as quickly as possible.

damage 1d8 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + (5) + 4 = 11

Sir Balin easily avoids the wild swings from the half orc pugilist and is about to say something witty when his shoulder is nicked deeply by a sword slice from the party swordsman. "I shall have your head mounted on a pike for that!" he snarls at Razul.

Annak will cast Bouda's Eye Hex on the knight...DC14 WILL...if successful she will target his AC for a -2 drop and his atk rolls for a -2 drop.

Wade draws his sword as his illusion ripples away like a pond that has had a rock thrown into it, revealing himself to still be an aasimar but with the unholy brand of the forsaken pokeing through his armor and an asmodion holy symbol branded into his now black spiked armor he steps to the side so that one of his companions flanked the warrior before sliceing downward with the weapon 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 211d10 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
if he has cleric, oracle or paladian levels, is an outsider or otherwise has an aura of good equal to a cleric, then the touch of corruption and all further attacks do 2 more damage than this
And he begins monologing "it's the fatal flaw of the do gooder, they never question what their eyes tell them, and rarely to they question the deeper meaning behind what they see, I am an aasimar, and use divine magics, so to them it is ovbious that I would never dream of doing what the naive would call "evil", few question their orders, and while obedience is a trait to be respected and cultivated, blind obedience is useful only in pawns, you sir, are someone else's pawns, and we are the knights, your existance matters so little that you were kept alive simply to test our entrance to the game board,

Syldran will move into the room and cast Thorn Javelin.

Balin WILL: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 he passes, so the Hex's lasts for just one round. With that reduced AC Wade's attack hits, but alas Balin is just a stout fighter.
