Mogwag |

yup really we are just passing trough this tow
Mogwag turns toward the party
Mogwag says we don't bother here longer. If they don't wish us to enter then Mogwag will sleep outside and resume traveling toward our destination on the morrow

Victrix Bloodmane |

Victrix's face turns a deep shade of red, matching her hair.
"...oh. I, uh... kinda remembered this isn't where we're supposed ta be." She nervously looks around before yelling "SORRY!" up at the herald.
"Yeah. Let's go around. Hop to it. Let's go." She sounds a mite too eager to leave.
Wow. Just how deep did I put my foot in my mouth now?

GM Qwerty |

The guards at the top of the ramparts laugh off your party's attempt to enter the town and whistle as you leave (you are in the Wild Coast). The poor still wanting to get in watch you leave as well with dejected looks on their faces...
You decide to spend the night off the road a few miles outside of Fax. During the evening you hear the movement of large bodies of men advancing towards Fax. Seems the robber barons that created these lands and individual city states still have conflicts with each other. The banners of the advancing troop shows they are from Badwall, another Wild Coast town. It seems the town of Badwall has a disagreement with the town of Fax.

Cerian Screamingtrees |

In all honesty friend who knows. Even with the threat of an large orc raid they will take the chance to attack one another if they think they can get away with it. Its a wonder this whole place hasnt been destroyed yet. Still a good leader might manage to get some form of nation working but it will take patience.
He began still working on more camoflauge coverings for the less... stealthy in the group.
survival craft camoflauge: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Mogwag |

Hey Victirx if we had been in town should these guys attack we would have been with a siege in our hands and delayed for our mission. You wanted to kick the doors open, well these guys will do it for you he says with a nudge to her

GM Qwerty |

The night goes by uneventful as you can see from your hidden spot the two forces exchanging insults at each other. It appears the poor and destitute in front of the town wall managed to find jobs for the besieging force either as camp hands or forced conscripts. In the morrow you can either continue to watch the sloppy and haphazard siege between rival robber barons or continue on your journey...

Bonifacius the Bold |

Bonifacius lays a hand of Victrix arm and speaks up."We can´t intervene in every war. It is part of human nature, actually of mosts beings. Someone has something, another wants it, and tries it by force. Especially in this lawless lands!"

GM Qwerty |

The group continues with their journey in the morrow making sure their movement is not detected by the two hostile forces. They continue making their way south along the coastal road towards the small town of Fallowfield. Unable to make Fallowfield by nightfall the group finds a decent campsite a few miles from a road intersection and a copse of woods. Most of the only people seen throughout the day are some merchants and a few pilgrims. The town of Braxem is to the west where the merchants are either coming from or going to.

GM Qwerty |

apologies- work has been keeping in the office longer than usual lately
The party spends the night without incident and in the morrow they break camp discussing whether to travel towards Braxem or Fallowfield and Elredd. While stowing their gear they hear a commotion coming from within the woods to their west. Straining their ears they discover it is the sounds of pitched battle.

Cerian Screamingtrees |

Like an arrow draw torwards a target the elven ranger moved torwards the sound as quickly as he could silently.
stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

GM Qwerty |

Cerian determines which way the sound is coming from and begins to stalk through the forest stealth movement is reduced movement as Victrix and Mogwag follow suit. Cerian leads them westward through the copse of trees. The sound of battle is louder as is laughter and what Mogwag can hear as orc speak.

GM Qwerty |

Cerian, Victrix and Mogwag make their way through the forest following Cerians lead. Cerian sees a clearing up ahead as the source of the commotion. He uses his stealth to get closer to see what is going on using your stealth roll from earlier...
if Mogwag and Victrix want to sneak up as well then they will need to roll stealth checks...
Are the others following?

GM Qwerty |

Cerian leads the others towards the sound and sees a clearing up ahead...he hears Mogwag warn him of orc speech and notices a older man dressed like a tree-keeper armed with a staff swinging it wildly to keep a menacing orc at bay as other orcs around the fight begin laughing...
Cerian is about to turn around to tell the others when Mogwag manages to snap some branches and fall down creating noise...
The orcs closest to the woods turn to look into the woods and walk closer...
if you want to re-roll an individual stealth check to beat their perception below and you beat it then you can act in the surprise round.
Orc Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6dont think it will be that hard now

Alistair Maxwell |

Stealth +2 Dex - 3 ACP: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Alistair's armor makes a loud clinking sound as he shifts in his crouch, giving away his position

Cerian Screamingtrees |

He cringed at the sound of Alistair's movement. They were here for a purpose, and these indeed appear to orcs. He stood and drew an arrow, moving about to the northern edge and taking aim. If none of the orcs went to look torwards the noises he was going to flank about the orcs some more, but it was better to move in small quiet spurts than all at once.
Well, we didn't get dressed up for nothing.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Okay so moving away from the group and readying an action to fire at the first orc wandering torwards the others, If none do and we get another round of action let me know.

GM Qwerty |

The yellow orc moves closer to the woodline to inspect what was the noise he heard when an arrow takes him in the right shoulder for a scratch...

GM Qwerty |

The yellow orc cries out in surprise alerting the other orcs as Victrix and Mogwag charge from the woodline straight for him....he swings his jagged sword at Mogwag cursing the Oracle for siding with the lesser races...
Yellow Orc vs Mogwag: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 MISS
Another orc rushes up towards Mogwag also attacking him with a jagged polearm...
