Seeing a herd of crusty clanky skeletons raises Mr Pepper's spirits. Finally I get to cast a spell! Shifting his loaded crossbow into one hand he'll move over to where he can best make use of his spray of flames and push forth some extra oomph raising the strength of the blast.

Thank you D.
Blaster ends the red skeleton with a shot from his musket, which blows through its skull and sends the bony warrior onto its back.
And that ends that. Anchor success #8 gained.

As the skeletons turn to ashes and piles of bones, the party takes a minute to breathe. Your recovery is short lived, as the raging storm ahead deposits another creature in your midst. The pile of ooze disgustingly slides around, leaving a trail of slime underneath it.

Well we're in a do or die situation after all :D

Yup. I just reported #9. We've done the equivalent of what three tables are expected to for Anchor successes, since three are technically needed per table.

The barbarian and samurai duo charge at the caveman. Uesugi opens him up with a lightning-fast slice of his katana, and Gallix finishes him off by punching him in and through the gaping wound. The anchoring energy is fading, but not quickly enough. You wipe sweat from your brow as a seemingly endless horde of enemies continues to appear before you. This time, another group of four skeletons appear at the bottom of several lightning bolts, holding their scimitars up in anger, almost as if they wish to avenge their undead brethren.

Man I'm awesome at this game! Haha. Thanks for keeping Gallix going and kicking butt, Uesugi!

![]() |

:) I'm going to now, but it'll likely be my last one (or second last at the very best) for the night.
Uesugi easily cuts down the skeleton holding the green scimitar, and he's left with a femur, an elbow, a few fingers, and a pile of dust at his feet.
Broken scimitar: 1d20 ⇒ 81d6 ⇒ 1
Green's undead brother shambles forward and strikes towards Gallix. A square of his cloth shirt, hopefully not his favorite, falls to the ground, but he's otherwise unharmed.
Mr. Peppers blasts the yellow-toothed skeleton with a magic missile and has it thrown thirty feet across the plaza. When it finally lands on its back, its skull tilts to the side and then falls off clean, hoping to haunt Mr. Peppers' dreams for years to come.
Gallix throws a punch at the red one, his fist unfortunately sliding alongside its smooth bones, and Corsac launches a shot that cracks off a shard of marble from a nearby pillar.
Victim roll: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Broken scimitar: 1d20 ⇒ 111d6 ⇒ 6
The blue-caped skeleton doesn't like the demise of its friends, and it runs forward with its sword held high before swinging it at Gallix. The barbarian laughs as it whiffs.
D sends the red skeleton back to oblivion with a well-aimed kinetic blast.
That leaves Sirettis for this round. Actions? Uesugi and D, feel free to post for next round.

![]() |

Since Gallix should be down just 2, Sirettis casts guidance on him.
With 1 skeleton remaining, Corsac reloads.
Uesugi and Gallix will probably destroy the skeleton.
If not,

Uesugi had not expected to be fighting this long. He could feel the heaviness of the katana on his tired arms but he knew that the only to return back home was to continue destroying these creatures. Each time a new opponent came was another step closer to ridding himself of this nightmare.

Sirettis fires her crossbow at the skeleton.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 1 - 4 = -2
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
You can do it, guys!
Sirettis's script is as follows:
-If it's an animal or humanoid, Slumber Hex, WIll DC 14
-If it resists or is immune to sleep, fire a crossbow bolt at it

![]() |

Well, provided the GM has time, Sirettis. :)
GM Hmm might catch up on us with the anchor success streak.
Heck, i'd refresh my page more than usual to get out of this doomsday situation, did so last night.

![]() |

The green dome overhead ripples and flexes, visibly weakened but still present. The same woman’s voice from earlier booms from everywhere and nowhere at once.
“This… this isn’t what I wanted. I wanted a world with purpose again—with certainty. But I suppose there is no greater way to die than in the same fiery cataclysm that marked Aroden’s first step toward divinity. Join me in martyrdom, Pathfinders, and try to die with some dignity.”
Tables, we no longer need any anchors successes! All that's left is to retake the vault!

![]() |

Awesome!! :D
--------
This raises the question though, do we, as a table, have to fight in the vault again against the clones, or are we done since we talked Lady Arodeth out of her plan?

![]() |

Yeah not sure guess Red will tell us when he finds out

![]() |

WOW! That's amazing. Excellent job guys, your efforts paid off!
The group watches on in awe as the dome begins to fade. The skeletons, however, continue their onslaught, but not for long.
Sirettis launches a bolt wide, but Gallix uppercuts the blue skeleton, ending the fight with a total knockout.
The goal now is Vault Successes. Each time you defeat a group of Arodeth clones, you get a Vault Success.

![]() |

Nope, that would just be unfair. :) I'm setting up the map and all. Any preparations before you head back into the vault?

![]() |

I reckon just Sirettis healing us all to full.
With the previous rolled charge of 8, that's only Gallix, right?

![]() |

Yeah. Everyone else was at full.
Looking at the stat block, these simulacra are definitely more formidable than the anchor minions. Not impossible, but not as spammable as dinosaurs and skeletons.

![]() |

As the anchoring energy fades, the new goal becomes clear: The party must weaken the vault and its denizens sufficiently to stop the Sky Key once and for all.
You head back through the ancient city and scurry down the steps to the vault, the trip taking 1d4 ⇒ 3 minutes. Injured Shaine leans up against one of the large tesla coils in the room, shouting encouraging words as other Pathfinders fight on against the simulacra.
