Rognak holds out his hands and wrenches the power of magic out of the air of the spell out of the air. But just as the sleet begins to clear, it is then replaced with mist, not quiet as bad as the sleet storm was, but still very difficult to see through.

GM_Starson |

Rognak, just a little bit of clarification, the whole hallway is that small. Unless you are trying to put yourself on the other side of the corridor, which you can't see round the bend of, he's going to have the squeeze through.

![]() |

Pippa, go into that corridor and see where it leads. Nancy will follow and tell you who to attack.

Pippa the skeleton |

Pippa got Haste from Vos so she has a 60' move speed currently. She'll move as far as she can into the unexplored area and attack and apparent enemies that Nancy will point out if possible.

Nancy, Yazdan's familiar |

We need more map revealed to proceed.
Nancy flies in behind Pippa and will UMD (can't fail) her scroll of desecrate once she can see what's going on around the corner.

![]() |

Mr. P will continue to delay, waiting for his comrades to indicate what may be ahead.
Too late now for this fight, but it would probably be a good idea for us all to be linked by message if one of the casters knows it.
Also, Mr. P is much less effective when he can't charge, but he can attack from 10' reach with his lance, so it probably makes sense for him to follow Pippa and/or Eadie, so that he doesn't clog the narrow hallway.

GM_Starson |

Vos strides forward, looking to find out just what is going on, when suddenly a sigil above him flairs to life in the darkness, lightning flashing out to him!
Reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
damage: 4d8 ⇒ (8, 3, 6, 7) = 24/2 for reflex save for 12 damage
It's barely a sting compared to what Vos can take, but it's also a sure sign someone does not want people coming down this way.
Pippa squeezes past him, into the corner with Nancy perched close behind. As they do so, Nancy stops and calls back...
It's another door boss! Like the one in the first room!
Nancy quickly describes another stone door with ruins in ancient Thassolian on them. Just like the door after the pyrimid, this one seems to have no lock on it. Unfortunately, Rognak is the one who reads Thassolian, and the corridor is a little to cramped for him to see... Pippa at the very least would have to back up to clear the way.

GM_Starson |

Rognak sees the door blocking the hallway, It is nearly a miniature copy of the door at the front, except the inscription is different. Reading out loud for the whole party, he reads...

I do indeed still have a standard, and some movement left. Can you clear some of the map up so we can see what else is there?
Vos takes the damage in stride and keeps going...

Nancy, Yazdan's familiar |

Strange that there's a shut door here just like the one in the first room, since obscuring mist and sleet storm were both just cast on our side of it.
"Pippa! Attack that door and try to push it open!" "Pathfinders! I suspect this door might be an illusion! I don't know if Pippa would be able to tell though."
Nancy will start concentrating towards the door with her constant detect magic.

GM_Starson |

I do indeed still have a standard, and some movement left. Can you clear some of the map up so we can see what else is there?
Vos takes the damage in stride and keeps going...
Well, you couldn't before because there was a door in your way....
Pippa steps forward and attacks the door, it's arms passing completely through it.
For those who pass the door, the walls of this wide atrium curve gently up to an opaque, glassy dome. Tan light from an unseen source filters through the dome, faintly illuminating the area. The room narrows to the west, where a broad stone altar flanked by iron braziers stands in front of a stone wall. An iron tile mosaic frames a door-sized space on the east wall, with a three-foot-tall stone pedestal bearing a shallow bowl standing next to it.

GM_Starson |

Rognak easily identifies the door as a "Silent Image", which tells him a few things. First, that it was cast recently, and second, that it's caster is nearby... and third, that the Runelord of Sloth himself would probably not have settled for such a low level illusion when far more powerful magic was available to him.

Hearing the sound of battle joined, Mr. P urges Griff forward...
Griff Will: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26
Mr. P Will: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (17) + 19 = 36
... and both easily recognize the illusory nature of the door.
Seeing his stricken friend, he and Griff rush to his aid! With the aid of haste, Griff is able to move into the room even with the need to squeeze through the narrow corridor. (Hasted land movement is 70', which I believe gives him just enough movement to reach the square I've moved him to) If the ceilings in the room allow it, he takes to the air as soon as he enters. @GM, how high are the ceilings here?
Seeing the black-cloaked men before him, Griff barges ahead, attempting to overrun the foe to the West (i.e. towards the top of the map). Mr. P will swiftly cast Grace on Griff so that his movement does not provoke an AoO.
Overrun maneuver vs. his CMD, Improved & Greater Overrun, Haste: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (12) + 21 = 33 Note: +1 for Higher Ground if Griff is able to fly once entering the room. Because of Improved Overrun, he cannot choose to avoid the overrun. If this result beats his CMD, the overrun is successful. If it beats his CMD+5, he is knocked prone, which (because of Greater Overrun), will provoke an AoO from Griff, Mr. P, and Vos.
Griff bite attack, Haste, vs Prone: 1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 16 + 4 = 29 +1 if Higher ground applies
bite damage, magical: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

From his saddle, Mr. P unleashes a flurry of karate kicks with his small stubby halfling legs at the (hopefully now prone) Western foe. "Evil varlet, by the power of Chaldira may you soon know your end!" The feat Mounted Skirmisher allows him to make a full attack even though Griff has moved.
Mr. P Unarmed Strike (Flurry 1), Haste, Power Attack, Higher Ground, Flurry: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26 +4 if he's prone

Move action to move 70' (hasted), including beginning to fly as soon as there is space; Standard action to overrun Western foe.
Swift action to cast Grace on Griff. Full Attack action to Flurry of blows on Western foe.
Mr. P's AC is currently 30, or 32 vs undead
Griff's AC is currently 33, or 35 vs undead
@GM, for book-keeping purposes, how many rounds went by while we were waiting outside the door. I have it as about 2ish (?), but just let me know how many rounds of duration I should cross off for my short duration buffs.

GM_Starson |

And there goes Mr. P, wrecking my fun... 3 rounds total is what I have it clocked at when all the delays are taken into account. BTW, while Grace prevents them from attacking Griff, I believe they still be able to attack you correct? so...
greatsword: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31
damage: 2d6 + 23 ⇒ (4, 6) + 23 = 33
greatsword: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 24
damage: 2d6 + 23 ⇒ (4, 3) + 23 = 30
As Mr. P strikes at his opponent, his image blurs and fuzzes!
Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 33
Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 8
Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 89

Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 25
Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 56
Miss Chance 20%: 1d100 ⇒ 34
The gods favor him however, and most of his blows still land, and even though the man lands a cutting blow on Mr. P, he is knocked flat on his back, letting out a groan of pain as he is effectively trampled by the halfling and his mount.
