Anibal follows the pathfinders upstairs. Immediately after the fight starts, he takes cover behind the wall. From there, the Iobarian quietly takes aim, and fires at the troglodyte overseer.

Ekanta thumps the large trogoldyte!
He shows up as 'healthy'

Lizbeth also moves in and delivers a solid blow....

Cyrus hurls a javelin which only hits the chair.

Kaleb has no luck on the crocodile.

Ilsensine drops a snowy orb on the crocodile 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 which gets a chill, but isn't slowed...

Anibal gets a cracking shot off with his bow!

Cyrus sidesteps as he dons his large shield. Then Half-Elf flips his grip on his longsword as he brings the blade straight down on the beast.

Ekanta is noticing a pattern in his own technique as he fights - a strong but exceedingly predicable frontal assault followed by a backswing that takes advantage of his adversary's wide evasion of the first. Interesting, but not good enough.

Roaring in pain from the two blows of the Troglodyte chieftain, Lizbeth spits in the creatures face before bringing her eatthbreaker to bear, looking to end this.

Anibal leans from around the corner, swiftly firing two arrows at the troglodyte.

Cyrus gracefully turns his missed sword swing into a slicing swing as he dances away from the creatures large tooth filled maw.

Ilsensine continues firing arrows at the crocodile, now locked in melee with Cyrus.

She continues using her chameleon aspect to blend into the walls.

Anibal gets a clear shot atthe leader and takes it - this time the leader goes down!

The crocodile makes a last lunge at Cyrus!

Cyrus gets bitten but avoids being stuck in the creatures mighty maw, then stabs it in return.

The party rapidly dispatches the wounded creature and realise victory!

Lizbeth pants heavily and rests her hand on the arm of the throne they were fighitng around. She looks around her companions and grins broadly.

"Well Fought friends! Truly a tale for the ages! Now let us search this place for any remaining foe or clue before we go back to the Venture Captain."

Kaleb looks around for something interesting. Hoard, stash, a chest of gold...

That's it? That's the big man? Thought it would be tougher.

Anibal stretches his arms above his head, and looks around.

Everyone okay? Let's get out of here before we need coffins. I've had enough of this place.

Ekanta stands over the chieftain's corpse, and looks out the tower window in silent contemplation.

Cyrus pushes the dead animal off him and cleans his blade off. "That is one ugly beast!" He then walks over to the large chest next to the throne. "Let's see what we have in here." Cyrus inspects the chest for traps.

Perception: 20 + 8 = 28

Thats pretty much a wrap...!

Ekanta looks out on the ruins of the Siegelands below; the generations of smashed and ruined buildings and long forgotten siege engines, and it dawns on him that he is standing in the exact position the troglodyte lord was just moments ago - was it contemplating the exact same vista? How many other people have stood here - from wizards to warlords - and how many more will?

Nothing of interest escapes the patry and their detailed and thorough cleanse of the place now they know the bard is safe and thy have the luxury of time - so it is with heads held high that they march into Absalom and back to the Society itself.
