Ekanta, after you released me from that web, you're my favorite tiefling! Especially given that I don't know the others! Ha!
Smiling.
I'm afraid I can't cure you from the poison, but at least I can help with your wounds.
His face becomes very focused and solemn. It is evident that despite all Kaleb's ostentatious sarcasm, he is terribly serious in everything that is connected with his faith.
Our Lady in Shadow, grant us your dark mercy! Let us feel your loving hand! Heal this woman!

"'Man,'" Ekanta corrects gently, but not seeming overly bothered. His muscles continue to throb with steady pain, but he appears almost unnaturally stoic about it.
Anibal Ibarr
|
Some nice self control you have there.
After checking the stairs and noticing it is blocked, Anibal walks outside and looks for climbable surfaces. While doing that, he asks: Anyone has grappling hook? I can provide a rope.
Kaleb Vesperra
|
"'Man,'" Ekanta corrects gently
Oh. Hmm...
Looks like Kaleb aback for a moment - but only for a moment.
Well, I have just started to count something between us - and then a twist! Okay, maybe I'll go and get some buttercups for Lizzy. Hah! Just kidding.
Anyone has grappling hook? I can provide a rope.
I don't. Perhaps someone could get up there and fix it for us?

Cyrus notches another arrow and marches outside. "I'll check the perimeter of the tower and look for a good place to climb."
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
| Shifty |
Cyrus locates a good bit of wall to ascend that would reliably hold weight, and and after some time spent in preparation and experimentation a solution is found.
You end up in the crumbling remains of a room that now serves as
an open landing for doors in the northwest and southwest walls. There is little of interest here other than the two doorways.
'Lizbeth'
|
really sorry, weekend got hectic fast!
Lizbeth smiles broafly at Kaleb's remark regarding buttercups, the slight dimples in her cheeks making her look like a complimented maiden, quite different from the arcane tattoos around her eyes.
"Buttercups will not be necessary friend! Just a grand tale of our endeavours for the chronicles!"
Before climbing, Lizbeth stows her great hammer and bids Tarantio stay and guard the base of the wall ehilst the rest climb before she hauls herself up the crumbling wall, hoisting herself over the edge with a slight huff of breath. With a mere thought, Tarantio vanishes from his point on guard, once everyone is safely up.

After finding a suitable place to climb Cyrus tells the others and stows his bow on his back.
Once to the top Cyrus draws his sword while moving to the southern door to check it for traps.

After ascending to the upper floor, Anibal puts his hat back on, and checks for recent activity on the floor. ( tracks in dust, etc )

Ekanta steps back from the northern door.
"There's something in there." He says quietly, waiting for a reaction before taking further action.
'Lizbeth'
|
Lizbeth spends another moment calling Tarantio from her conciousness, just a minute later the strange blue radiance once more coalesces to form the large Shoanti man. Lizbeth unslings her earth-breaker and moves over to the north door, yet holds off from opening it.
"We wre ready when you are."
| Shifty |
Anibal cautiously cracks the door open to reveal the room beyond. Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.
A large lizard is playing in one of the pools, it looks up at you curiously as the door opens.
Anibal Ibarr
|
The Iobarian looks at the creature with a raised eyebrow. Then briefly turns his head towards his companions.
I thought this tower was not accessible for thousands of years. What is it doing here?
Kaleb Vesperra
|
All the while Kaleb stands to the side, pensive and motionless, with his back to his friends. Sound of opening door brings him back to reality, pulling him out of his thoughts.
The same as the spider on the first floor, Anibal. It lives here...
After a little reflection, he adds:
This place could be inhabited by any creatures all the time. Why not? Isolated from the world, they could either die or start to live, multiply, and eat... by eating each other. I assume that all that we will meet here, will be predatory and biting...
Kaleb looks into the room from behind of his friends, trying to find something unusual or dangerous. At the same time, he draws his crossbow - just in case of any surprises.

Ilsensine looks over the shoulders of the others.
"This place has attracted all kinds of natural inhabitants. Might we try to distract this creature rather than kill it?" she asks.
She retrieves some rations from her pack to offer to it, then throws it in the corner.
Kaleb Vesperra

Kaleb gradually returns to the same gaiety, which replacing the reverie.
Oh, dear Ilsensine! That's exactly what I thought when I saw this toad! I said to myself: "This thing for a Real Druid!". Go make friends with this animal. Or something like that. We believe in you! Go ahead, do it! We got you covered.
Anibal Ibarr
|
Let's see... says Anibal quietly, and stores his bow over his shoulder. He then takes out his waterskin, comes closer to the beast and pours some water over the ground in front of it.

'Lizbeth'
|
Standing in the doorway, Lizbeth keeps a watch on the two party as they try to win the lizard over, she holds her hammer loosely so as to not give off a threatening aura and telepathically asks Tarantio to cover the rear, so that the lizard's animal instincts aren't set off by the ghostly warrior.
Cyrus Geitus PFS

Cyrus moves into the room careful not to spook the beast and keeping his sword low but ready. He slides over to the other door to inspect it. "Watch my back I 'll check the door."

Anibal seems to be doing well until he steps in, then the creatures hackles go up... it regards him carefully, clearly starting to size him up as a meal.
Ilsensine realises that this is no ordinary lizard, but rather a magical one...
Cyrus checks at the other door and confirms it is unlock, untrapped, and can't hear anything beyond it.
Kaleb Vesperra

I think it's time to move on to decisive action. We stick here in front of this door as temple's apprentices in front of a brothel. One by one, most quietly and stealthily, along the wall to the next door - go!
Without waiting for the response of his compadres, Kaleb squeezes in the door and begins to sneak along the wall, trying not to attract the attention of the creature in the room.

...However, it will be sad if on the other side of the door we'll meet an enemies, and when a fight will start, this thing will attack us from the rear. Maybe we should kill it. Damn druids.

"I will try to hold its attention while you pass by it," Ilsensine offers.

Ilsensine, I did not study these things, but I never heard of some regular animal just setting off electric charges. At least not on land. Maybe it was just territorial.
He lifts up the empty, flaccid waterskin, now just hanging in his hand like the remains of a skinned rabbit:
