PFS Scenario 5-03: The Hellknight's Feast (Inactive)

Lets head on down and see what we can see.

If no one objects Ayaki takes the sword and pits his bow away.

"I have cold iron arrows for those of you who would like them."

Kale, paranoid as always, scrutinizes Damien Blackros as well. Satisfied with what she discovers she appreciates the Major's talonstrike sword but makes no move to claim it preferring the unique Aldori blade she carries.

"I am thinking the stables vill be a good place to check. I vould be thinking that vould be vhere I vould be trying to escape to.

"The demon ladies said mother, whomever we are lookong for probably had wings as well."

Oscar is also from the Andor Faction.

You should go to "My Pathfinder Society", Edit Oscar and click on the Andoran symbol. It will show his faction to GM's (and everyone else).

The Pathfinders descend warily back down to the wine cellar, but find it as they left it. A scene of horror, to be sure, but no additional foes await them there.

Fung races from room to room within the first floor while the others come back up from the cellar, calling, "Clear!" for every room that is empty of either Orielle or scary sacrificial stuff! Listening for chanting or talking in the rooms as I approach as well.

The Pathfinders search through the whole house and find nothing amiss.

For buff-tracking purposes, ten more minutes have passed.

While the rest of the party searched the house Ayaki looked for a way to add the cold iron blach to the bastard sword. If he notices a shield lying around he grabs it as well.

Gazebo?

Ayaki knows where the kitchen is located and knows there are hot fires there where he can melt the blanch over his sword. He pulls a heavy wooden shield down from the wall. It bears the Blackros emblem and is old but serviceable.

Ayaki handles business, equips the shield and follows Fung Xi to the gazebo.

Kale moves quickly behind Fung Xi and Ayaki.

Dora follows the others outside , bow in hand and wolf and griffon close behind.

The Pathfinders enter the garden and see three figures in the gazebo, two serving maids and the elf Faelyn. One of the serving maids (the very same that fled the Feast) smiles wickedly and disappears.

GARDEN SHOWDOWN

A creature standing in the same square as a tree gains partial cover, which grants a +2 bonus to Armor Class and a +1 bonus on Reflex saves. The presence of a tree doesn't otherwise affect a creature's fighting space, because it's assumed that the creature is using the tree to its advantage when it can.

Alphonse, Oscar, go!

Anyone, give me orders for Alphonse.

Alphonse has but one bomb remaining. For now he merely moves the minimum distance to get a clear shot under one of the trees and takes a ready action to fire at either of the two remaining women if they make a threatening move towards his comrades or each other.

Does Faelyn look like he's being controlled like the gnome was?

Faelyn looks fearful. Can't tell from what.

Oscar casts Bless and moves SW, Sw, SW. +19 Perception to see if I can see the "girl" that keeps disappearing as my See Invisibility is gone.

Diane, Guard meh.

Diane moves SW, SW, SW, W, W and then Readies to attack anything that attempts to attack me or her and comes within her reach.

The remaining serving woman transforms into something like a twisted gnome comprised primarily of nose and teeth. With a high-pitched twitter, it springs forward in an astonishing leap to attack Diane the deinonychus.

Alphonse's crossbow bolt hits the strange little gnome, but seems hardly to bother it. The creature dodges under Diane's swipe and attacks.

Zruuka's bite (spring attack): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 221d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

The little creature misses Oscar's pet dinosaur and leaps back to the gazebo.

Fung Xi, Ayaki, Kale and Dora, go!

Ayaki casts lead blades on his borrowed blade.

Dora starts to sing...

Dora tries to determine what type of creature the goblinoid is.

Without an update on the map, I am going to assume that between the trees and other allies, that the griffon cannot dive/charge/pounce onto one of the opponents. Adjust tactics if this is possible. Otherwise I am assuming both Boots and griffon can move up to attack one or the other opponents in the gazebo. Both should have enough movement.

Boots moves up (50' if needed) to bite at the small gnome creature (or the other one if it is closer).

No, sorry. I got confused (easy enough). I thought there was another that "smiled wickedly" but now I she disappeared (not sure if invis or teleport etc). Dora would have the griffin try to find that one via scent if possible - not Faelyn

Fung Xi moves S (4 sguares) and W (5 squares) and leaps into a "superman" punch, "The earth's embrace grinds down the walls!"

As Ayaki casts a spell and Dora begins to chant, Boots and the griffon attack the vicious little gnome, injuring it with great savagery. Fung Xi dashes in, but the gnome deflects his attack.

Kale moves swiftly past the trees arcing in from the north. He legs carrying her over the terrain almost as swift as her sword.

Double move, should end up next to the griffin and diagonal to the elf woman.

Oscar orders Diane to attack the strange gnome by moving south of it to avoid attacks and then calls on his god as a weapon of force appears in mid air to streak towards the creature.

Diane moves SW, SW, SW, NW and should be directly south of it without provoking and will take one attack. Everyone please remember +1 to hit from Bless.

Alphonse moves 30 feet to the west to a clear line of sight to the elf and then reloads his crossbow.

"The gnome-thingie! The gnome!" Fung cries out to Alphonse!

Lady Dyrianna's elf-boy-toy hasn't attacked, has he?

No he hasn't, but that wicked maid is running around here someplace too.

I think Faelyn might have been the sacrifice, though he still may be involved... Fearful, is vague, but we can get a read on him after combat, unless he actually attacks us.

Faelyn looks stunned and confused. Also terrified of the violence.

Oscar's spiritual weapon slices only the air near the "gnome's" head, but Diane slashes the hideous thing with a razor-sharp claw.

Then the Mistress appears in mid-air. Flying in stately grandeur 35' above the garden, she is a vision of nude female perfection, a goddess in form and grace, her true heritage revealed only by the leathery bat wings, the tail, the small horns at her head, but mostly by the cold sneer she wears.

"Tsk," she chides. "If you want someone killed and devoured, you really do have to do it yourself. Well, you do if you're not me." Despite the menace in her languid voice, her laugh is so exquisite that it sends chills down each of your spines.

"Kale Aldori, you scrumptious little minx! What delicious sins we will commit with that gorgeous little body! But first, slaughter your tedious friends for me, won't you, kitten? And make it hurt. I like that."

Kale's Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Kale is now DOMINATED. She gets a new Will save at +2 because she's being ordered to do something against her nature. If that fails (Will save DC 25), she must try to kill her allies in the most brutal, direct and effective way possible (which means no going after pets, no switching targets and no holding back in any way).

The tree is about 20' feet tall. It is ornamental, however, and wouldn't support a human's weight above half that height.

25' is crazy for me to jump vertically, even for me... ;p Are there any ropes around? How high is the top of the roof of the gazebo?

If you have a rope, yes. Otherwise, no.

The gazebo rises 12' above the ground.

Fung Xi kicks the knee of the gnome creature, first one...Flurry 1 Improved Trip: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 1 = 17 then the otherFlurry 2 Improved Trip: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 13 + 1 = 20... If those don't do the trick... Frustrated, the monk spins for a final sweep lifting the gnome demon's leg out from under it! Flurry 3 Improved Trip: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 1 = 28

Kale steps forward lightly on her feet and swings viciously at Fung Xi. The blade leaving angry trails of red through the air as it slashes out at the monk.

Do I still benefit from Dora's Performance? If so add +2 atk/+2 dmg on each swing

Whatever the Pathfinders' loyalties to poor Kale, she is no longer an ally for purposes of Dora's inspiration.

Fung Xi's series of kicks whip the legs out from under the spry "gnome". It lands on its backside with an indignant whoop!

Then Kale happens to Fung Xi, and the Aldori Swordlord nearly kills the Tian monk.

Master Fung Xi - I am not sure there is much chance for me to break such a strong enchantment. Our best chance is to immobilize Kale or destroy this demon-lady."

As her standard she will cast glitterdust on the flying demon. (DC16 will vs blindness, no SR)

As her move, she draws her longbow. As her swift action she will call a smite evil vs the evil lady Year 5 Boon

And as a free she tells the Griffon to attack the winged lady (aoo from Kale if she is able to take one).
