"It is ironic that he would be killed for looking like an undead creature, only to be turned into one by the soil in which he was buried. Those Pharasmans really should have known better than to bury him in the midst of this cursed place."

"Oh... Yeah. A body without protection... But the squeleton should be there. I think."

"For once Milton may be correct. There are many more worms here that a body would bring following burial. I have never see this many worms here where a dead body should be in all my years of hunting. I have no clue to if he is now a raised undead. I looked for tracks earlier before the digging yet found none. Perhaps he was carted away. Perhaps someone stole his body and replaced the cairn grave? Who can say in such a strange land."

You find no skeleton, or hint of bones. In fact, you also find no remnants of clothing -- no metal buttons, clasps, or jewelry of any kind.
The wayfinder still radiates magic, and still operates in its usual fashion, both as a compass and as a magical light.
Unable to penetrate the mystery further, you continue through the swamp.
The passage of time is not clearly defined in the scenario, but if you want to rest, you can. It doesn't seem like you have used much in the way of resources, though, so unless you say otherwise I'll assume you press on to your destination.

You continue on, finally reaching the place marked on your map. The temple of Urgathoa stands somberly atop the low hill, its dark, smooth stone seeming to suck the hollow light from the air into itself, giving off an aura of darkness. Large double doors stand ajar, providing a glimpse into the square sanctuary within. A black altar stands on a raised dais along the south wall, covered in cobwebs and dust. Small torches are set into pillars throughout the room cast an eerie, flickering glow on the entire chamber.
A dark, robed figure stands silhouetted in front of one of the torches, atop the dias, and four other figures are gathered around it. The four sway back and forth, ululating in a tongue alternately guttural and sibilant.
Does anyone happen to speak Necril?

Velidor slaps Iranar on the shoulder after that comment and laughs a bit.

I was just asking so I knew whether to describe the chant.
The dark figure seems to hear your words and Milton's spellcasting, despite the distance, and lifts an arm. "Who's there?" it calls, in a slimy-sounding voice. "Come in, if you be friend to the Pallid Princess."
Map updated.

Velidor walks in the temple and says "We are recently undead. What is occurring here? We are new to this place."

![]() |

Crap, should have cast removed fear before we enter. Oh well.

Having listened to the chant, he understood its purpose, and he was about to respond to the demand by the priest when Velidor decided to take over the discussion. "No problem, this will be a good opportunity for me to assess his capabilities as a negotiator and report such back to the Society."
Milton stood quietly by.

Iranar walks up with Velidor.
"Yes, we have recently awaken to unlife, and came here to make our fortunes. I know of the Pallid Princess, though I did not know much of her in life. Is this ritual something that will make us stronger?"

Quick logistics: Did Iranar and Velidor get healed of the damage? If so, did someone use a wand of ILW or did you use the potions?
"Come in, come in, all of you," the dark-robed figure beckons. You still can't quite see his face with the torchlight behind him and the hood of his cloak up.

I was under the impression that we would get healed, but I don't remember who said they had a wand of ILW. I know someone said that at the start.

![]() |

someone said they used a ILW wand and Velidor took the 5.5 average for 11 since he only had 12 damage. I think it was Elliot.

as for iranar i will use my wand.

Alright, that's all fine. Just making sure. Is anyone else going to enter the temple?

Velidor is at the stairs in the temple already. Just waiting for you to kill him...

Please move your icons into the the temple on the map. If you don't have anything to say, you can just move and don't have to post.

Velidor reluctantly drags the mouth man into the temple. (I placed you all the way up next to the BBEG if that is ok with you.)
JK- you are next to the even tempered and brave gunranger just inside the temple.

![]() |

No idea how to do that. Can someone move me please?
Unless you are on mobile or using an utterly obsolete web browser, you should be able to just click and drag your icon around. I set the Google docs settings to allow anyone with the link to edit.

Since I'm using Safari, on my iPhone 5s, which of those options should I claim as my reason for being unable to do it? Sometimes I am on my iPad. During the day, work has google drive blocked.

Elliot follows into the temple, but not able to understand Necril he remains quiet and watches the five guys on the other side warily.
Elliot has a wand of cure light wounds, but I'm afraid using it here means alerting the guy that we are no real undeads.

Lamare will try to identify those type of undeath.
