Each researching character can attempt a Linguistics, Knowledge (history), or text-based Craft or Profession check (such as Profession [librarian] or Craft [bookbinding]) to find texts. You might use a different skill or ability, albeit with a penalty ranging from –2 to –5 at my discretion. Those who use magic or class abilities in a particularly creative or relevant way might receive up to a +5 bonus on a check, also at my discretion.

Someone in one of my other games came up with the idea of doing character introduction to kill time, and to get to know each other's characters a bit. I quite like that idea :) There's nothing to post about my character though. So I'll just post a bit about myself:

My name's Stephan, and I'm from The Netherlands. I've been playing Pathfinder for over a year now, mostly PbP. I started GMing PbP games about half a year ago.

The games I currently run are Curse of the Crimson Throne, and the PFS games Shadow's Last Stand part 2 and Tide of Twilight. I played the Library of the Lion with my gunslinger during the previous PbP Game Day, and look forward to GMing this scenario! :)

Yup, 'twas me :D

I'm Aron and from UK, Southampton. Been playing Pathfinder for quite a few years now, though I'm uncertain how many years, but it's been sometime and I've been DMing for a while running Kingmaker, Curse of the Crimson Throne and a homebrew, but nothing PFS related.

About a year ago I got into PFS through a mutual friend on the forums where we first played at his for a one off and now I go over to another of his friend's homes' once a week for a regular game/

Eleanor here was based on another Aasimar Paladin, Godelina Eveyln. unfortunately the pbp she was in died as the GM was in the military and he was originally told he wouldn't be called in for several months, but then they turned around on the decision.

the way things were working with the group was that she was building up a relationship with a cleric of Iomedae as they were investigating the strange goings on in the town. For this version, whatever strange things were going on ended up killing the man she had feelings for and after striking down the evil she has decided to dedicate her life to saving the lives of others and hopefully one day be re-united with the man she had feelings for, but never actually got to tell him.

Depending on your actions, there may not even be combat in this scenario. Though the conversation with Iliyana's pretty much over now, meaning you'll at least get to continue exploring the rooms!

Can you crit on a thrown alchemical weapon? You should check, that acid may have finished off the boosk.

Of course fixing that will be a real task. If only I had profession (bookbinder).

I switched my dice to 2d6 when I saw my roll, because I thought that you could. Now I think about it, I don't actually know. I would presume so, because it is counted as a splash weapon, which I believe can crit, but I'm not really sure. If they don't crit, then just remove the second roll from my damage.

It depends on the type of alchemical weapon, and is shown here.

It works for acid ;)

I'd like to point out that the PFS Guide offers a way to make a single reroll during a PFS game. You may want to look into that.

If anyone isn't able to make a reroll, but feels like it could save the day, I'm willing to toss my own reroll to that person ;)

If I've found the correct rules, don't the rerolls have to do with what you're wearing? Wouldn't that be tough to check on a PbP? Just wondering, as this is my first PFS scenario.

While playing tabletop you have to wear an official Pathfinder shirt, or have a physical copy (not a PDF, printout, or photocopy) of the Pathfinder RPG Player Character Folio with you.

It's indeed tough to check if you posses these items while playing a PbP game, as is checking if you've actually got all the books that allow you to build your character. Neither do I expect you to don your Pathfinder shirt every time you make a post in this thread.

Other GMs may have a different opinion, but to me it's a matter of trust. Do you claim to possess a Pathfinder shirt, or the folio? Then you get a free reroll. It may cause some dishonest people to cheat, but I don't want to take the option away from those who rightfully deserve it.

And as I wrote previously, I'm willing to give someone my own free reroll if he can't make one of his own.
