[PFS - PbP Game Day 3] 5–11: Library of the Lion (tier 1-2) (Inactive)

Game Master StephNyan

Each researching character can attempt a Linguistics, Knowledge (history), or text-based Craft or Profession check (such as Profession [librarian] or Craft [bookbinding]) to find texts. You might use a different skill or ability, albeit with a penalty ranging from –2 to –5 at my discretion. Those who use magic or class abilities in a particularly creative or relevant way might receive up to a +5 bonus on a check, also at my discretion.

Thanks for the info, Negi!

I'll finish the chronicle sheets up tomorrow, as I'm slightly occupied today, and will send them to you in PMs.

I'm glad to read the game was enjoyable! :)

Silver Crusade

F Aasimar Paladin/1 (HP 12/12 | AC:19 | T:10 | FF:19 | CMB:+3 | CMD:13 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+0 | Will:+3 | Init:+0 | Perc:+3 | Speed 30/20)

Definantly. I've played one or two of your other games and enjoyed it much more. Not too much of a fan of this scenario, but I think I just chose the wrong kind of character for this :p

Loved your running of Confirmation though.

This scenario's pretty different from most. During future recruitments for scenarios I'll keep in mind to mention it when the scenario's so different. It's mostly meant for characters build around investigating things.

The chronicle sheets have been sent out! :) If you have any questions, let me know.

I have one question for you: would you like to follow this scenario up with another? I do request you try to maintain a posting rate of at least one post per day, but that may be easier when a scenario suits you and your character better.

I'm open for suggestions when it comes to the scenario, but I'd prefer to run one from season 2, 3 or 4. I do request you pick a scenario I haven't played/GM'd yet.

I'd play anything, and since this was my first PFS game, I'm pretty open to anything, but I'm currently playing Wounded Wisp and Tide of Twilight with other characters, so I'd rather not do those.

Grand Lodge

Gender: Male Taldane Human Magus/2 (HP:14/15 | AC:15 T:12 FF:13 | CMB:+4 CMD:16 | F:+5 R:+3 W:+3 | Init:+3 | Perc:-1 | Speed:30 ft | Conc:+8) Mwk Rapier (APE, AS) +6 (1d6+4+1+1/18-20x2 S) AP 2/3
Skills:
Acro +1 Bluff +1 Climb +6 Diplo +1 Fly +1 Inti +5 Knowledge (Arcana) +6 (Dungeoneering) +6 (Local) +6 (Planes) +6 Perception -1 Ride +5 Sense Motive -1 Spellcraft +6 Stealth +1 Swim +6 Use Magic Device +6

This character has done Master of the Fallen Fortress, so not that one please.

I'm currently playing Slave Ships of Absalom, Devil We Know (Cassomir's Locker), and Mummy's Mask with other characters.

Other than that, anything for Adventure!

Liberty's Edge

HP 45/45; Judgement 2/2; Bane 6/6; Discern lies 6/6; Reroll @+4 1/1; Assimar (archon blooded) F Assimar Inquisitor/5; AC 18(*) | T9 | FF 17| CMB |CMD 13| Fort +6*| Ref +2*| Will +9* (* +1 for each adjacent ally)| Init +4 | Perc +15|LOOKOUT FEAT(use allies surprise/init)| Speed 40; (*Snake Style, AC is 1d20+25 vs first attack)

I'd be game, although Fargrim has joined another game now.

I have a second level Halfling rogue who would be keen to do just about anything, especially if it has an ossarion feed to it.

I've not done many season 2,3 or 4s:
02-01: The Bloodcove Disguise Played
02-02: Rescue at Azlant Ridge Played
02-15: Written in Blood (SoI part I) Played, GMing
02-17: Exiles of Winter (SoI part II) Playing
02-23: Shadows last stand (part I) Played
02-24: Shadows last stand (part II) Played
03-01: The Frostfur Captives Played
03-05: Tide of Twilight Played
03-13: Defenders of Nesting Swallow Played
03-23: The Goblinblood dead Played
04-07: Severing Ties Played
04-11: The Disappeared Played

So,
Strikethrough On scenarios you have played but not GMed. Ones you have GMed have been removed.

Season 4 (this looks like quite a high level season!)
04-01
04-15
04-19

are all candidates at the right level.
Season 3
03-07
03-09
03-11
03-18
03-19
03-21 Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment (heard good things about this)
Season 2
02-11
02-13 (also heard good things about this Murder of the Throaty mermaid)
02-21

Liberty's Edge

Male Halfling Cavalier 3 hp 22/22 (16); Init +3; Fort +3(5), Ref +5(6), Will +2(2); AC 20, T 14, FF 17 (16, 14, 14);

I've done Fallen Fortress and Slave ships already.

Silver Crusade

F Aasimar Paladin/1 (HP 12/12 | AC:19 | T:10 | FF:19 | CMB:+3 | CMD:13 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+0 | Will:+3 | Init:+0 | Perc:+3 | Speed 30/20)

There aren't many I've done so I'm open to most.

I've already GM'd 2-21 The Dalsine Affair and 3-21 Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment. Coincidentally during the previous PbP Gameday.

If I can't follow 3-09 and 3-11 up with 3-13 (= part 3 of Quest for Perfection), I'd rather not run those.

I've played (but not Gm'd) the games with an asterisk:

2-11: The Penumbral Accords
*2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid
3-18: The God's Market Gamble
3-19: The Icebound Outpost
3-07: Echoes of the Overwatched
4–01: Rise of the Goblin Guild
*4–15: The Cyphermage Dilemma
*4–19: The Night March of Kalkamedes

About the games I've played I can tell you this: 2-13 requires a lot of investigating. To me, it had a bit of a Sherlock Holmes feel to it. (I suspect 2-13 may not be Eleanor's type of scenario, if she doesn't like scenarios that focus on investigating.)

4-15 and 4-19 are also very fun. They're more like the 'traditional' scenarios, by which I mean there's more combat and less investigating.

It looks like most of you are fine with pretty much anything you haven't yet played, but I'll ask anyway: what about both 4-15 and 4-19, following the first up with the second?

Scarab Sages

HP 45/45; Reroll@+3 1/1; uRogue 6: (AC21 normally) Fort +5; Reflex +12; Will +5; Init +5; Perception +12; SM +10;

4-15 followed by 4-19 would work well for me.

I'm Fargrim's Halfling friend

I'm happy with anything, and doing multiple back to back sounds good, because it lets us play with the same characters and get more used to each other.

Scarab Sages

HP 45/45; Reroll@+3 1/1; uRogue 6: (AC21 normally) Fort +5; Reflex +12; Will +5; Init +5; Perception +12; SM +10;

Any objections to 4-15, with the intent to go on to 4-19?

Liberty's Edge

Male Halfling Cavalier 3 hp 22/22 (16); Init +3; Fort +3(5), Ref +5(6), Will +2(2); AC 20, T 14, FF 17 (16, 14, 14);

Not at all!

Silver Crusade

F Aasimar Paladin/1 (HP 12/12 | AC:19 | T:10 | FF:19 | CMB:+3 | CMD:13 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+0 | Will:+3 | Init:+0 | Perc:+3 | Speed 30/20)

Only problems I have done Murder on the throaty Mermaid and I am currently doing with my IRL group, The Cyphermade Dilema.

Grand Lodge

Gender: Male Taldane Human Magus/2 (HP:14/15 | AC:15 T:12 FF:13 | CMB:+4 CMD:16 | F:+5 R:+3 W:+3 | Init:+3 | Perc:-1 | Speed:30 ft | Conc:+8) Mwk Rapier (APE, AS) +6 (1d6+4+1+1/18-20x2 S) AP 2/3
Skills:
Acro +1 Bluff +1 Climb +6 Diplo +1 Fly +1 Inti +5 Knowledge (Arcana) +6 (Dungeoneering) +6 (Local) +6 (Planes) +6 Perception -1 Ride +5 Sense Motive -1 Spellcraft +6 Stealth +1 Swim +6 Use Magic Device +6

Sounds good to me.

Scarab Sages

HP 45/45; Reroll@+3 1/1; uRogue 6: (AC21 normally) Fort +5; Reflex +12; Will +5; Init +5; Perception +12; SM +10;

4-19 "The Nigh March" then, with a possibility of 4-15 later?

Then we'll just start with The Night March of Kalkamedes, and we'll see what happens next after it!

Check in here, and you may directly go ahead and post in the campaign thread.

This thread'll be put to inactive once everyone's checked in at the other thread.
