"Really? You hid a vial of acid in your cheek? Are you MAD? That could easily kill you. You did know that is acid didn't you? Burn a hole right through your stomach and down to your feet."
"Well, I suppose if we don't mind a dead goblin, we could let him keep it. I still think 4 is good enough."

Btw, Erlathan, their disposition towards you has worsened. :)

Lurker: "We see fire from hands of point-ear not kill, you survive."
Rude: "Yes, he right."
After encouragement and internal debate, Pinky does something unexpected.
His throat bulges briefly......he's swallowed the flask!

"Damn! I didn't know they could do that! Well, little fellow, you might want to tread softly for a while. Any sudden..."
She stops abruptly and looks at the other goblins briefly and pauses in thought.
"Maybe telling them what might happen if the vial breaks is a bad idea. Somehow I don't think Pinky's buddies would mind his loss. In fact, if it was funny enough they might just speed things along."
"Never mind."

Chyrone |

The goblins stop their laughing at Galtorr's sudden outburst, and watch him warily.
Then, Wartnose suddenly yaps.
"When we eat, me hungry."
The other goblins join in.
Big-eyes looks around, 'where is the food bag'? is what is written in his eyes.
Lurker just smirks at the fuss his fellow goblins are making.

Erlathan considers feeding the dead goblin shaman to the annoying prisoners, but instead, takes out some of the supplied food and throws it on the ground in front of the them. "There, you've got your food, now shut it! You wouldn't want to be frozen solid, now would you?" He smiles as he raises his finger into the sky and shoots out a small ray of ice.

This cannot end well.
She sidles up to Lurker and whispers.
"I'll bet you this beef jerky he looses a finger and does not get the vial. Got anything to bet?"
She surreptitiously shows him a hunk of jerky she kept aside for a bribe.

Did we search the towers for food and stuff? Can Yanda whip up another mutagen before the next encounter? Aside from those two concerns I'm ready to move on. Oh, and somehow getting the vial out of Pinky. If we find anything useful (as in dogs teeth and the like) in the tower perhaps we could bribe one of the other goblins to get the vial?
She visibly starts when hLurker suggests that she would make a good chieftain of goblins.
"CHIEFTAIN! Of Goblins? I appreciate a good show and all, and these guys are pretty dang nasty in a fight, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I prefer things to be nice and tidy with an occasional rush of excitement. Not constant danger and chaos."
"Um, I don't think I have the temperament to be a goblin or a chieftain, but thanks for the compliment. You seem more of the Goblin chieftain type to me."

![]() |

After considering the goblins equipment, Boldren turns to the rest of the group. "I am assuming these guys where here waiting specifically for us. I don't see any other explanation for their presence. Nothing of value or interest here, out side these two empty towers. That along with the fact that I don't see any provisions, leads me to believe this was meant to be a short lived-ambush. The intent behind the ambush is is still somewhat unclear. Either they intended to free our charges, or they intended to kill them."

![]() |

Yanda looks at the goblins and suggests,
"Maybe this has something to do with some chieftain issues?"
Just to see what their reactions might be.

The goblins were occupied with some goblin game, with gestures of twisting bird necks and, by what Braxen pieces together, talk of halfling feet.
None look up when the word chieftain comes around.
When the group's ready to move...
==================
The trek with the goblins in shackles, and the two KO goblins tied to the rope being dragged by Braxen, takes longer than expected, about twice as long. The sun starts its descend in the distance.
With the rough hills at now far to the north, the land opens into a broad grassland where the snow is much sparser.
The sky is overcast and the temperature has risen, making the march south somewhat easier.
For as far as the eye can see, there is nothing but open ground and great fir trees that dot the landscape.

Yanda: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Okay....no clue.
When you take in the scenery, you are surprised by a few snowflakes falling before your eyes. Although pretty, it rapidly starts to worsen...turning into a very cold snowstorm.
Alright team, time to set up camp...in a blizzard. :)
One person makes a main survival roll, the others roll for it as aides.
Setting up camp takes 1 hour.
However, you take 1d6 nonlethal cold dmg for every hour without shelter, starting now. A fort DC 15 counters this.
----------
Should you not pass the survival check, (which i doubt) you'll need to make it again until you succeed, with the fort roll against the cold along with it.
The fort roll DC increases by +1 for every hour you haven't gotten your shelter. Good luck.

![]() |

Boldren will utilize his wand of endure elements and make sure each of the group is guarded against the cold for 24 hours. -6 charges for the group, -4 for the remaining goblins. If someone confirms that the two unconscious goblins are still alive and recovering, he will accommodate them as well -2 for the KOed goblins.

Yanda gathers some wood, consumes her firebelly extract, and blasts the pile to get it started.

While the team sets up camp, there is snickering coming from the goblins, combined with some aimed thumbs.
They secluded themselves from the task of creating a shelter.
"Long shanks crazy with shelter, haha."
"You see faces? They be turning blue, but you see faces expression?"
(Chorus:) "Kekeke...hahaha...heeheeeheeee!!"
Along with the laughing, some reason or another gets them arguing, 1d2 ⇒ 2, resulting in some soft pushing and shoving, before it calms down, and they mock and make cruel jokes again on some particular people's expense.
I'm looking at you Boldren & Erlathan. ;)
Any other plans for the goblins today?

![]() |

I am assuming we will have a watch set up during the night. This will include a lookout both for the secured goblins, as well as a look out for any approaching danger. We could do three shifts of two people with casters taking the last watch. This will allow them to prepare spells for the following day. So Braxen and Inu first watch, Yanda and Galtorr second watch, and Erlathan and myself on last watch. As fare as additional care provided to the goblins, as stated in my previous post, I will provided the goblins with protection from the elements with my wand of endure elements and insure that the (4) active goblins are still secured with the provided restraints. Outside of the one that socked Boldren in the noise, I have no other ill intent on the other discombobulated idiots, even if they continue with their redirect.

![]() |

I agree with Boldren's plan. The goblins especially need to be supervised so they don't run off, steal our stuff, eat everything in sight, or light our bedrolls on fire... ;)
"Calm down, greenskins! I fed you earlier, isn't that good enough to get some respect?!" Erlathan barks at the goblins as they shove him around, then retreats to his bedroll.
