Aryas stops dancing as he takes a swing at Gellion trying to knock him out.

Tareal gives guidance to Hakk.

Nanny moves through the room to examine the pulsing wall of purple. She sees a large amount of Demon Bile that has grown to cover the walls pulse and ungulate in places as if something is trying to break through. She recalls from the group’s earlier examination of the bile that large enough patches can act as a gateway from hell. She also sees the unconscious bodies of the other missing apprentices have been placed in the Demon Bile.

Tiredly Hekk swap his weapon to his falchion.

Bot: Lido steps up behind Aryas can cast heal wounds on his ally.

Still entangled in sticky glue, Gellion swings his heavy mace hitting Aryas upside the head knocking the bard out.

Using the cold iron arrowhead Nanny causes one 5ft second to wither away, she estimates it will take several minutes at this rate to clear it all. It there was only a faster way?

Tathane yells out for help as he watches Aryas fall. Seeing his companion being laid low must have inspired the rogue aim as he puts an arrow into Gellion but not enough to drop him.

Aryas stabilizes.

Hekk looks at the morning star, looks at Nanny, looks at the wall, remembers the goos reaction to said weapon, and gets an idea. This rare event surprises Hekk and shocks him into motion. Tiredly (that raging business takes a lot out of a fellow), he moves forward and tiredly swings his tired arms at the demon bile. He does not like feeling tired.

Hekk moves with surprise and purpose swinging the cold iron morning star into the demon bile. The stuff withers away from the touch of cold iron clearing another 5 foot section.

Lido uses his wand to heal the fallen Aryas, restoring enough health to revive him.

Aryas opens his eyes, grabs his scimitar and jumps up.

Gellion strikes Arays as he goes to stand leaving him near neath and disabled.

Still entangled in sticky glue, Gellion yells at Hekk and Nanny ”Stop that! You must leave the demon bile alone!” With that he charges at Hekk swinging his heavy mace.

Arays gets an AoO if he wants, but it will cause him to pass out.

If not stopped Gellion’s charge allows him to land a blow against Hekk wounding the tired warrior.

The surface of the Demon Bile ripples again in places.

Tathane sees Gellion fall to Aryas's blade. "Yeah!" he shouts and pumps his fist in the air. "Hurry. Let's tie him up." Tathane races around the crates and slides on his knees up to Gellion's prone form. With his dagger he cuts the sleeves off of Gellion's shirt and uses them to tie Gellion up.

A move action to get to Gellion, I don't know how much of the tying I can do with my standard. Also, do I need a skill check?

Hekk steps into the gap he made and tries to clear away the bile from the figure in front of him (east).

Do I need to make a roll for this? I carved out a section on a diagonal. If that is not OK, move Hekk and the section he eliminated to a legal spot.

Tathane goes and ties Gellion up.

Nanny looks around for more cold iron but doesn't see a ready supply.

Hekk and Nanny work on clearing the demon's bile from around the unconscious apprentices.

Once Gellion is tied up, Lido channels positive energy to heal Hekk Aryas and the apprentices. The positive energy destroys the demon's bile within range.

Hekk's suggestion aside, I think we should give Gellion the potion of remove disease and wake him with a potion of CLW.

Hekk treats Gellion with the remove disease and CLW potion.

At first, Gellion babbles about ”demon worms” and “Only mother can feed me!” but with the disease removed he returns to his old self over the course of a few days, though he is utterly ashamed of his actions and is thankful no one died because of his actions.

The Kidnapped apprentices are brought back to consciousness with magical healing. They express dismay that their friend would cause them such harm, but upon seeing him they insist that he is not nearly himself.

While the heroes are sorting out the apprentices and clearing the rest of the demon’s bile infestation in the warehouse, Mayor Sandra Trinelli approaches alerted to the fighting by the city watch.

Seeing all the apprentices are safe and the situation is well in hand, the Mayor commends the hero's, ”The town owes you a debt of gratitude! I knew you were the right group to put my trust in! Please give me a full report.”

Seeing that Gellion played a major part in the troubles, Mayor Sandra explains ”The people of Saringallow are likely to demand the boy undergo a harsh sentence left to their own judgments. What are your thoughts about how the boy Gellion should be judged?”

"Well, that is an unbelievably complicated question! On the one hand friendship is super important and also community! On the other hand we need to punish harshly if we see no other path!" ... suddenly he starts laughing.

"Ha ha ... I sound like the priests in the temple! Oh mayor! Let us get over it! I am totally for a rules and such! Really! But the boy was sick! And don't forget ... Sarenrae preaches redemption! Redemption! I would rather say we celebrate! Big party, a little wine and ale, maybe a kissing both ... I would volunteer! What do you think ..." Aryas says confidently and with sly smile.

Well in the back story the warehouse owner did die due to the demon’s bile vermin, but that was before Gllion’s misadventure.

Aryas speaks up for Gellion reasoning the boy was sick.

Nanny suggest the brush with evil has taught the boy a valuable lesson.

Tarael questions whether it is common sense or malice.

Tathane agrees with Nanny that it would be silly to punish him more.

Hekk can’t believe no one died.

Aryas is ready for the party!

Mayor Sandra nods thoughtfully, ”I will take your words of advice with me when I meet with the counsel. Thank you all again for your assistance. There is another matter I would like you to look into but that can wait for now. Please take some time and enjoy the city, I’ll contact you in a few days.”

A few days after finding the missing apprentices, Mayor Sandra Trinelli reaches out to your group via a messenger requesting a meeting at your earliest convenience.

Once your group of pathfinders arrives at Saringallow’s town hall, you are ushered into the mayor’s office on the ground floor.

Golden beams of light stream into this comfortable-but-official room’s picture window, illuminating a cluttered wooden desk and an empty chair pushed haphazardly to the side. Between the window and the desk strides Mayor Sandra Trinelli, who, brow furrowed, has clearly worn a pacer’s path into the plush red carpet. Also in the room is Nolaria Wintren one of the apprentices you rescued and Erastill Adept. Mayor Sandra notices her visitors, she sighs in determined resignation and steps behind her desk, leaning over it gravely.

“I’m glad you’ve arrived,” she says, a measure of relief creeping into her strained voice. “As you well know our town has been dealing with its share of troubles, and an unknown menace beyond our walls has me the most worried.”

She takes a deep breath as if composing herself, and sits carefully in her chair, assuming a self-assured posture that seems to come to her much more naturally.

“Specifically, we may have a goblin problem,” the mayor continues. “I’ve recently received reports of goblins lurking in the woods outside of town. There have been no attacks yet—only minor damage to fences and some stolen sheep, I’m told—but we can’t afford to let our guard down. Given how we suffered during the Goblinblood Wars, we can’t assume that these scattered sightings are meaningless when they might very well mean that a major warband is about to descend on our heads.”

“Even worse, it seems that these goblins are covered in some unholy manner of filth—even more so than normal! If word about that gets out, well, folks might start to panic. We are a superstitious lot here in Saringallow, as I’m sure you know.”

“In short, we need to move quickly and deal with these goblins before they become a larger threat. Sending members of the town guard out into the woods, though, could leave us open to attack. I’m sure you see my dilemma.”

“This is where I’d like you to intercede, my friends. Find out where the goblins are coming from and who—if anyone—is leading them, then take out the threat. You will be greatly rewarded if you bring me proof that you’ve destroyed their camp or otherwise dealt with whatever additional threat they pose.”

“Most of the sightings have originated from the area northwest of town, particularly near the homesteaders out by Clover Stream. That’s probably a good place to start your investigation. Aside from that, I’m afraid I don’t have much else to tell you, but Nolaria has some information that you might find useful also, she is worried about her cousin a wood warden named Nixa she is several days overdue in reporting in. It may be nothing, but we would like you to keep your eyes out for her as well. I’ll let Nolaria tell you her information then if you have any specific questions I’ll do my best to answer them.”

The young woman Nolaria is known for wearing her brown hair in an untidy bun that she neatens only for official holidays and ceremonies. Her clothing is comfortable and practical— strong boots, a simple tunic, leather armor, and a fur cloak with a wooden holy symbol of Erastil for a clasp. She carries her longbow—a relic of the Goblinblood Wars—at all times, and her raven familiar, Blackfeather, is never far from her shoulder.

”I would like to thank you again and offer what help I can. While captive I had a chance to observe the fiendish vermin up close and I’m thoroughly acquainted with information about goblins. Also, I have a map of the outlying areas around Saringallow which should help you find your way.”

Nolaria hands you the map and takes a deep breath before continuing, ”I can tell you that the filthy goblins Mayor Sandra Trinelli describes are very likely fiendish creatures if they have been exposed to the Demon’s Bile. They would have some resistance to cold and fire as well as magic. They can see in the dark and are very stealthy. I wish there was more information.”

"Goblins! Best crush before swarm!"

Hekk is very much looking forward to testing his new claws against goblins. As long as there aren't TOO many. The dang things are manageable in small numbers, but not in swarms. He feels the mayor was quite wise in doing something now rather than later.

Now it is Hekk's turn to be confused, who can't get past the whole idea of wearing metal in order to make your teeth look straight. There are far better uses for metal in ones mouth than that.

The mayor smiles at Hekk, ”Come now Hekk, if manning a kissing booth would raised money for a good cause, I’m sure you would volunteer.”

Tarael is ready to go.

Aryas relates a story to Hekk about a girl in highschool with braces

Hekk wonders why anyone would need straight teeth.

The mayor nods ”I see you are eager to be on your way. Since you may be traveling up to a week or more you may want to stock up on supplies before setting out.”

The journey through Saringallow’s outskirts is largely a pleasant one. The homesteads nearest to the city belong to farmers, who point you further down the road when you inquire about recent goblin sightings. Eventually, the dirt roads give way to smaller, worn down trails. Pastures thick with green grass and dotted with sheep and other livestock replace the rows of wheat and vegetables.

As you pause in a field with the faint sound of running water nearby. A young shepherd bolts across one of the nearby fields, clearly terrified by something behind him. He shouts and gestures frantically toward whatever he’s fleeing. “I saw them!” he screams. “Goblins! They’re in the woods! They took our sheep! You have to do something!”

As shepherd Carlos Escoro catches his breath, you see five sheep wander into the field following the shepherd.

You notice these sheep have an unnatural gait and spot flashes of steel beneath the sheepskins as the disguised goblins draw their weapons.
