*** Combat Over ***
Tarael is slightly injured. (damage was incorrectly assigned in the last post to Nanny should be Tarael.)
You found signs of a struggle, a masterwork sap, strains of Demon's bile and defeated a small number of fiendish beetles in the orchard. Lots of questions but few answers.
Unless the someone has further things to investigate in the orchard, who would you like to find and speak to first?

![]() |

"Before these beetles attacked us, someone said there was a fight here? Did the fighters run off?" Tathane takes a moment to sling his bow back over his shoulder.

![]() |

”We have to thoroughly search the orchard to see where the body of the person was brought to... or ... or do you believe that the bugs ate the two people ?!? Maybe the kids were playing and one was injured and they brought him/her here and then were attacked? Are there human remains somewhere here?““ Aryas asks.

![]() |

Well, hopefully those apprentices didn't come to a bad end. Demon-tainted insects are a worry when you're a youngster running about town. Perhaps we should speak to Majara? It sounds like she had the closest tie to her apprentice.

![]() |

Hekk is sorely tempted to chop down the nasty tree. Then again he is predisposed to give a demonic tree wide berth.
So he just stands there and waits for the others to make up their minds. He remains on the lookout for more bugs. Wasn't much of a battle. Barely long enough to get his rage on. meh.

![]() |

Tathane asks about the signs of a fight before the beetle attack.
Aryas gives his jumble of thoughts on subject. Looking around there are no bodies or remains indicating that anyone was eaten.
Nanny suggest finding and talking to Majara.
Hekk is eyeing the tree having thoughts of turning it into toothpicks.
Tarael uses her wand to cure the bug bite, healing herself fully.
According to Tarael the signs of a struggle indicated that two people fought and that the small person dragged the bigger person off, but that she lost the tracks when they left the orchard.
Taking Nanny’s suggestion, your group goes to find Majara Pricknettle the town’s foremost apothecary.
After a short walk you arrive at her shop Pricknettle's Potions and Poultices, upon entering you are greeted by a friendly and energetic gnome woman ”Welcome to my shop travelers, I have the finest collections of alchemical wares in town. Can I interest you in some Meditation tea or vermin repellent?”

I do not want take his place ... no, no! We all want to find the apprentices in town. "I've never met a cup of tea I wouldn't sample, dearie, but I'm afraid we need a bit of info about your lost little lamb. Any idea where your Gellion has got to?"
Nanny sits down across from Majara and crosses her legs.

![]() |

Arayas warms Majara’s hart with his meandering speech, which the gnome seems to have no problem following.
Majara smiles at the kneeling Arayas, ”My apprentice Gellion? It’s kind of you to be concerned, but I’m sure he is alright. I mean sometimes he gets a bit distracted, like the time he nearly dropped a box of alchemical fires, but he is well-meaning. I suspect that Nolaria Wintren, the apprentice at the temple of Erastil, might have something to do with is disappearance this time. She is a meddler who puts dangerous ideas into Gellion’s head.”
Hekk feels dizzy.
Majara sees Hekk greener than green color, ”Oh my, Does that happen often? I have a nice selection of smelling salts and Soothe syrup’s “
Tathane looks around the shop, he finds a wide variety of alchemical goods neatly stocked on shelves with the more dangerous ones behind glass.
Nanny inquires about Gellion location.
Majara shakes her head, ”I haven’t seen Gellion for several days, so I have no idea where he is, but I’m sure he is fine. If he doesn't show up in the next few days, I’ll drop by his family’s home, but until then I don’t want to bother those nice people unless there is an emergency."

”Yes! Please tell us what this Erastil girl did to your apprentice in the past that angered you!“ Aryas asks.

![]() |

Hekk is tempted to tell the woman that, yes, he can trust them, but that has not usually worked out in the past. Something about his smile?
Anyway, he fidgets a bit but is on his best behavior for the discussion. Though he spends more time daydreaming of slaughtering giant bugs than he does paying attention to the conversation about bad relationships. The part about fire bombs does intrigue him. (could be a little goblin in his orcish ancestry)

![]() |

Tathane sensing Majara’s worry asks for more information.
Majara sighs, ”I do worry about him, but he is a good kid. This is the longest he has been gone, but I’m sure he and his friends are fine. I hope. I don’t know here is his.”
Aryas directs his question about the Erastil girl.
Majara shakes her head, ”I’m not angry at Nolaria, it’s just the girl is too adventurous for her own good. Ildris Ruvarra insist that She is a devotee to Erastil, and he has watched over her so far, but I’m not sure how much longer he can keep her safe give her thirst for adventure. She is one to bend the rules and is Gellion’s closest friend. Also, she dotes on her raven familiar far too much. “
Tarael smiles with friendly banter.
Hekk tries to smile but quickly gets distracted.

![]() |

"Much as I'd love to sit here all day warming my bones with this excellent tea, it sounds like we should visit this Ildris and see if he knows anything about the plans of his adventurous apprentice.
Does anyone want to make a purchase from this excellent shop before we go? I myself would love some vermin repellent if you can spare some, dear."
Nanny pulls out a crocheted drawstring purse and counts out the 5 gold pieces for Majara.

![]() |

Hekk grunts a 'no' in response to Ahd's question, thinking that any pathfinder worth his or her salt would already have all the equipment they needed, while staring a bit longer than necessary at the odd woman with sticks sticking out of her head.

![]() |

”Thank you very much for the information!!“ Aryas says and bows.
”Let us go the Erastil temple. We will find out more there I hope!“ Aryas says a little concerned.
Waiting for the others to decide on the next steps, he starts styling his hair while looking at his reflection in a glass window in the shop.

![]() |

Nanny buys some tea as she thanks Majara for her time.
Hekk doesn't need to purchase anything and is ready to move on.
Aryas bows to the Gnome shopkeeper thanking her, and then leads the group to go find Erastil’s temple.
The group moves through the town of Saringallow to the Temple of Erasti. The building is one of the largest and oldest structures in the town. Built by the peasants brought in by House Sarini before the troubles, it’s spaces are dedicated to the needs of the people, rather than the needs of the temple’s staff. The infirmary and housing areas for the poor dwarf the priests’ modest chambers. Many people pass through on a daily basis, seeking blessings and prayers before traveling or interaction with outsiders.
Asking for Father Ildris Ruvarra, your group is shown to the Infirmary where you find Ruvarra tending to the wounds of a pair of injured residents of Saringallow. The busy Father looks up from his work, ”Blessings of Erasti be upon you traveler's, what business bring your group to the Erasti’s house? “
(I assume Paizo will get the issues ironed out of there site eventually, I’ve looked into the possibility of setting up an alternate posting site on Discord. Who feels that they would be able to use that option, or should we just ride out the outages keeping all the posting here?)

![]() |

I don't mind discord, so if you want an off board option, that works. I prefer using this site, and hope it is more stable now, but if it goes down then lets do what the group wants.
"Well met Father." Lido says in greeting. He then politely introduces his group before getting down to the main matter at hand.
Once done with introductions he asks, "We were wondering if we could have a word with your apprentice Nolaria. Is she here by chance?"

Aryas looks at the surroundings and smiles at the cleric. His body language clearly shows that he respects this place of worship.
"Hello! So great to be here with you! I love community! Erastil rocks! Well, Sarenrae rocks too so I assume they often rock together! Probably Nolaria is a fan of rock'n'roll adventure too and therefore she is not here? Any news you want to share with us?" Aryas asks a little excited.
Diplomacy aid: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

![]() |

Hekk looks around the temple at all the boring murals of farming, happy families, and bankers and scowls. The only saving grace of the place is the occasion pictures of hunters. His body language most certainly does NOT show respect.
He's about to open his mouth and ask why anyone would worship such a stupid god, but thinks better of it. Besides, some people are predators and some are prey, just like in the rest of nature. Hekk's face lights up as if he has had a profound enlightenment and he actually smiles at the prey priest.
As usual he does not say much, other than his typical 'heck' comment when he sees something that interests him such as a particularly messy depiction of a hunter dressing a kill. He's not much of a talker.

![]() |

Lido speaks up first asking to have a word about the Father’s apprentice.
Tarael greets Father Ruvarra as well.
Ruvarra looks up from his healing work, and gives a worried sigh ”Nolaria? No she is not here. Do you have news of her? She has been missing much too long. I have been intending to go searching for her, but my duties here preventing that.”
Aryas joins the conversation asking Nolaria’s adventures and whereabouts.
Seeing how likable and friendly Aryas is Ruvarra can’t help but share more as he shakes his head ”I know Nolaria can be a bit adventurous, but being an orphan of the Goblinblood wars can have that effect. One of the town’s people mentioned seeing her at the old graveyard with her loyal pet raven a couple of days ago. That’s the last place she’s been seen. Why the interest in Nolaria?”
Kekk examines the boring mundane murals of everyday life, his disdain for Erastil’s worship is clear. He does find some wooden carvings depicting a rustic Erastil clad in fur and leather fighting off wild animals and other beasts more interesting.
(OK, I won’t worry about an alternate posting site, and we will just wait out any further Paizo site issues. As Aryas said, ‘We are not in a hurry’)

Tathane looks around the temple with appreciation. Some temples have been the best place for him to find items of value. Somehow a few of them have ended up in his pocket...
He turns his attention to the father. "Actually, we're more interested in her friend Gellion. He's gone missing and we were wondering if Nolaria knows anything about where he went."

![]() |

Though only listening with half an ear, Hekk does catch the part about her being adventurous and sticking together with the boy... What was his name? Jelly?
That would be nice. A two-fer at 100 gp each. That Nolaria sounds like an interesting gal. I wonder if she might be interested in becoming a pathfinder? Better than becoming a priest of farmers.

![]() |

Goodness, what a cavalier attitude toward the youth in this village. "Last seen days ago in a graveyard, but I've been too busy to look for her." Why, in my day a sprat was missing for 6 hours and there were adventurers searching every rat-infested basement.
"Thank you for the lead on the graveyard, Father. We will start our search for her thereabouts."

![]() |

”Thank you very much for these information! I would kiss your hand but I had some women who did not appreciate that at all so I wave goodbye!“ he says with a sly smile.
”Let us go to the graveyard!“

Hekk thinks about recruiting Nalaria as a pathfinder.
Nanny giving a judgemental look at the priest, Thanking him for the information and suggest the group search there.
Aryas also, thanks the Father for the information and waves goodbye as he leads the group to the graveyard!
After walking around town for a bit the group finds the graveyard on the west side of town within the outer wall. You wander among the hundreds of small grave markers that stand between a few large mausoleums in this graveyard. Crows leer from the gravestones, scattering when other creatures draw near, only to resettle some distance away.

Hekk finds some boot tracks that look very much like the ones from the orchard, and suggest the group follow them.
Arays agrees, telling Hekk to lead the way as the bard arms himself with crossbow and scimitar.
Tarael keeps a watchful eye out for danger.
Hekk follows the tracks leading the group through the graveyard towards one of the few Mausoleums. Upon which sits a noisy raven.
Tarael notices that this is the only bird that is in this part of the graveyard all the other ones are avoiding this particular mausoleum. Also, she sees a patch of Demon's bile covering three tombstones except for a small area around a mace.
As the group approached the Mausoleum with the bird, you see a thin, six-legged ant the size of a pony covered in patches of purple demon's bile moves out from behind the mausoleum, its mandibles chittering as it senses your group.
