We don't see any lights from the glitterdust on the king or witch?

![]() |

Is it cool if I go off map or should I wait?

![]() |

"Someone should try to finish off that sleeping giant. When he wakes up, he's going to be really upset."

![]() |

Kynrac lets his spell fizzle to keep his invisibility active, and starts rising into the air. Using BoF bonus to increase movement, moving diagonally upwards to remain within the low DCs of Fly (less than 45°). Taking 10 and moving at half speed.
Once high in the air, he gazes far and wide to spot the king and his witch.
Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (3) + 19 = 22
Reserving the second round's action, depending on what I see.

... it tries one last time to hit its attackers before crashing onto the ground. ...
So is that was an attempted strike while staggered and it is now unconscious and bleeding out?

Speaking in celestial, Lavode tells the archons, Finish off those giants then join us at the top of the stairs to combat their evil king!
Lavode tells Bos and Alie, I'm going to look for the king. Then he casts a spell Môžete ma nie! and vanishes from site.
Cast extended (BoF) vanish then fly with wings at 45 deg angle. With haste that is 90' of movement.

![]() |

George will move 60' up the stairs to hunt down the witch and the ogre king.

![]() |

Kynrac flies back, descending slowly as much as he can without losing sight of them. He warns his companions about the King and the witch's location, then conjures a wall of fire upon both of them to turn them to ashes!
"Roast in Hell, puny king!" he taunts the giant.
Fire damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (6, 4) + 10 = 20 No save, the waves of flames' direction goes away from them to dissuade them to run further. Of course, that will end my invisibility spell. Taking the +2 to AC/Ref/attack again.

Next round they will do the same for the sleeping giant.

G.M.E.W. |

The Witch screams in pain while the King barely breaks a sweat from the flames roaring around them.
Going up the stairs is 1/4 movement for medium creatures so George can get 30ft up the stairs. The Hounds take full round actions to coup de grace the giants. (roll damage form the sleeping one since it will probably still be alive.
Edit: Ninja'd yeah it won't make its fort same

... The Hounds take full round actions to coup de grace the giants. (roll damage form the sleeping one since it will probably still be alive.
I had both crit just the bleeding one this round. He took 54 more damage. Then they will both crit the sleeping one next round. Maybe Tatho can join them for a bit more damage. If it is still alive, they should be able to handle it.

Upon hearing what Kynrac has to stay, Boswick begins rushing up the stairs. Hasted as he is, it's still slow going.
Double move - 100 feet with Haste -- which is 25 feet.
Combat might be over by the time I get there.
If need be, I can finish off that last giant on my way by.

G.M.E.W. |

The King and his witch step out of the wall of fire and turn to face their attackers. The Witch, her visions seemingly cleared, conjures a green cloud of foul smelling gas at the front of the stairs. The gases pour up just high enough to catch Kynrac.

Because I'm an idiot. I forgot about that. I almost never move around much in a combat so it doesn't usually come up.
.
GM, Ignore that action. There is no spiked pit yet. I will be double moving so I can get to a point of seeing around the cloud. I am also then still invisible from the vanish spell.

G.M.E.W. |

@Lavode,
No problem we all make mistakes like that.
@Alie
Speaking of which I don't think you can make it to the top of the stairs and cast your spell. Last round you took out a scroll (move) and cast (standard). This round you'd need to make at least 150ft this round to be able to see the king and his witch.
King
Will: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Improved Iron Will reroll

Witch

So the Witch would still get to go the king would just babble.
@Bos,
No sorry. It would be faster if you were larger.
Moveing out of the fog Kynrac weaves his spell and disperses the sickening mist.
The rest of the party continue up the stairs with Lavode and Alie joining Kynrac at the top.
No longer blinded the witch and the king rush towards the stairs. The Witch stops first and sends two massive icicles flying towards Kynrac.

Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Double Yuck!
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 2) = 15 cold
The King reaches into his back and takes out a large rock and hurls it at the Oracle.

![]() |

Ok, DM, the flyi/movement thing has me twisted. Can we say Alie double moved last round? With Haste, that's should be 100'. If she takes another move this round, then she should be able to just get to see the pair and cast her spell, I think. Thanks.

![]() |

@Bos,
No sorry. It would be faster if you were larger.
Unfortunately, the spellcasters ran off to the battle.
Boswick keeps trucking.
That's my 3rd round of moving up, so 75 feet total.

![]() |

... Unfortunately, the spellcasters ran off to the battle. ...
I didn't realize the stairs would slow you that much or I would have Dimension Door'd you to the top.

GM, please also don't forget the 20% miss chance on any future attacks on Kynrac. It wouldn't have made a difference until now, but just reminding you.
Keeping the +2 AC/Ref/attack rolls.
Kynrac slowly flies down a few feet while remaining out of range from the king's melee weapon, and emits two rays of searing flames from his burnt fingers.

Reflex 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Reflex 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
Alie's spell catches both the witch and her king. The King gets hit hard by the effects while the witch seems to shake them off. As the king stands there with a dumb look on his face the ground disapears underneath him and he plummets into the spiked pit. The Witch screams in horror as her companion and body guard disappears from sight. This distracts her enough that Kynrac is able to hit her with two bolts of fire, horribly burning her.
The king starts to babel non-sense at the bottom of the pit while the witch rushes over and throws herself into the pit, drawing a slip of paper as she goes.
Ok weird rules time
Since they can't share a space I'm ruling that the witch landed onto of the King. So no spikes and only 40ft of falling damage. Also due to the weird positioning I'm gong to say they are both considered squeezing while they are down there. If I'm doing wrong let me know in the discussion thread.

Nope, too high it doesn't work! Darn it!
Lavode rips the sheet of paper from the woman's hand bringing it to his own. He quickly see's it is a scroll of Dimension Door.
OK so the Witch has 2hp left and the king is confused at the bottom of a spiked pit I'm going to call the fight! Unless you guys want to chew through the rest of the kings 78 hp.

![]() |

All good with calling it.
Boswick finally reaches the top of the stair and heartly congratulates his fellow pathfinders onmaking such easy work of the foes.

![]() |

Fine with calling it despite doing absolutely nothing other than tracking a multitude of buffs... ;)

"Once again, the Society triumphs. The Decemvirate shall be content with our success, I trust. Let's make sure these two are dead before anything else, then let's have a look at their trappings."
