Lizbeth smiles at Balfour and pats him on the shoulder, Kneeling she laces her fingers so that he can get a hand up the ladder.
"There you go Balfour mi lad! I ain't got much left in me so I'll let you take the lead eh? Just save some for me."
Once the Dwarf is up she sets to scaling the ladder. Examing the doors she decides to see if they are locked before they attempt to enter.

"Sure thing, my lovely Lizbeth; I feel like I can crack three thousand more criminal skulls! Now about the "saving some for you" part, I might have a slight problem with that."
Balfour chuckles and adjusts his sword on his back, then takes a deep breath and starts scaling the ladder.
Climb (Take 10): 10 + 6 = 16
Having not tried to lift his weight in a long time, Balfour was certain his more frequent nights of feasting may result in an unbearable burden; however, this is a gross misestimate as he swiftly and easily makes his way to the top of the ladder and examines his surroundings.

Wincing at the barrage of flame from behind the group, Lizbeth curses as she darts into the curios shoppe and realises she can't close in on either the Alchemist or her thug guard. Seeing Balfour foaming at the mouth she smiles. Well, he ain't gonna last long with my Balfor around! she ponders as she draws a chakram.
Aiming at the alchemist she tosses it overarm, looking to hurt her.

"My, Kara can be frosty." Rilia says to Lebraerio with the air that there might be more to that than Rilia would care to let on in mixed company--for reasons of decorum of course.
She holds up the curiously shaped wand. "Did you need another-" She smiles very close to Lebraerio's face. "I know I could when this is all over."
And then she rushes forward.
She tries to vault the display case in front of her assuming it is the usual 3-1/2-foot-tall sort.

Thank you for your healing, Rilia, it's much appreciated. We should try to get close to that girl, so she can't throw anymore explosives. You should show her what being a real bomb truly is, don't you think?

I think you got hit for for another 9 after spitting at the woman. You were at 11 down before I healed you. So the moral is 'never spit at woman holding an incendiary device'--especially when Kara, and I are standing so close. ;)

Rilia clears the counter with ease but has more difficulty with hitting Robella. Balfour also fails at harming his foe, and Lebraerio joins in by missing his mark as well.
@Lebraerio: As Rilia said, you've been healed once and bombed twice.
Botting Veilblade:

Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12

Now that she's up close with the alchemist, Rilia can see that she looks quite feral; something that becomes very obvious as she lays into the bard with tooth and nail.

Whooping, Lizbeth gives Balfour a pat on the shoulder before throwing her arms around the Dwarf. She smiles to her companions.
"Well well Balfour Baby, way to go! Knew you were a good 'un as soon as you came around!"
Breaking off her celebrations, she pauses to rummage through the Alchemist's pockets to see if she had any evidence on her, or failing that, anything expensive.
"Well, i suggest we tie her up and then investigate the Locked door. Then we have our Dwarves, Robella here and the whole smuggling cove as evidence to see 'em locked up and the Sphinx go free. Whaddya say?"

Balfour is at first surprised at Lizbeth's hug, but quickly returns a warm dwarf hug, patting the Vishkanya's back and chuckling to himself. He wipes the hilt of his greatsword and mounts it on his back, rubbing his hands and beaming with pleasure.
"And I knew you were a fine bunch as soon as I took a seat next to you. Now, without further ado, let's deliver some bastards to justice and save a carnival. I still need to show you I can win that strength minigame!"

Searching the unconscious alchemist turns up, among other things, a key that unlocks the vault. Inside, you find several items of value and interest (a handy haversack, a key of lock jamming, 1,600 cp, 640 sp, 300 gp, 40 pp, four uncut peridot gemstones and a silver chalice set).
Turning your impressive collection of evidence, witnesses and captured culprits over to sheriff Feldane not only exonerates yourselves and the Umbra Carnival entirely, but also results in the sheriff rewarding you with 800 gp for breaking up a thieves' guild that had operated right under her nose. Mistress Delisen upholds her end of the bargain as well, paying you 1,200 gp for a job well done and gifts you with a family heirloom as well; a silk scarf embroidered with all the colors of a flame and tasseled in tiny beads. The Gearwright Brothers are not quick to forget the service you rendered upon them either, and they vow to be of service if you're ever to visit the city of Kaer Maga.
And we're technically done! If there's anything you want resolved/have explained in or out of character, go right ahead.

Wishing the two Dwarves the best of luck and promising to catach up next time she is in Magnimar. Throwing her arm around their own mighty Dwarf Lizbeth runs the scarf between her fingers but letting the others have it.

"Then let us get Drunk! If Kara and Leb can stay upright that long!"

Leb looks at Kara with a rare intensity
Oh, truth to be told I'd rather spend the hours until dawn to get drunk of the taste of Kara's skin under my lips and tongue, and to let my hands learn every inch of her splendid body, how it love to be touched, how it longs to be touched. I'd love to lost myself in her beaming smile, to look in the heaven of her eyes, to be breathless in her mouth, to understand every word, every moan, every silence she dares utter. But that's not for me to decide.
