Want to send Yaiho. Yaiho bash head. Background check pass. :P

![]() |

Sorry, guys. Danicka's morals once against mess up our social interactions. lol

![]() |

It is actually interesting since most runs are everyone agreeing (sometimes begrudgingly) and going the same route. Inter-party conflict brings fun roleplay challenges.

GM ShieldBug |

Yes, there's nothing wrong with having someone with morals in a party :)
As long as everyone plays nicely, the added conflicts can be quite interesting.

![]() |

A confessed murderer who may steal our loot. Forrest is with Danicka on this one.

![]() |

I figured once she was in the tomb with us there was no getting out for her.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Who is influencing who now Danicka?

![]() |

I knew we would all come together!

![]() |

Haha. She's going for non-lethal, Brock! Then I'll smother her in blood and put the murder weapon in her hands. It'll be great!

![]() |

Then she'll be hanged. Same end.
Unless she can convince the authorities we did it and framed her , then we are wanted for murder and who knows what else.

![]() |

If she lives after a double-crossing we will be the criminals.

![]() |

Oh, Danicka doesn't have knowledge local. She has no idea what the penalty for murder would be.
It's not a double crossing from Danicka. She never pretended to agree.
But yes, I'm sure pretty much anyone with affiliation to the Pathfinders is wanted for crimes somewhere. Danicka will be devastated if she ever realizes she's a wanted criminal...

![]() |

Murder hobos with a good dose of grave robber.

GM ShieldBug |

Yeah, I wonder if the Pathfinder Society has an army of lawyers on retainer. It does seem like they would be needed after most missions.

I was preparing my post when I found out that Forrest will not be able to beat Sarvio's perception, so you are officially in initiative. :)

![]() |

hehe... good thing I made the climb post before you initiated combat and failed the climb so I won't have to get down to fight. :P

![]() |

To be fair, horses are surprisingly scary at Level 1.

GM ShieldBug |

You folks are a bad influence on me, I hardly did any work yesterday. ;)
I think I'll have to reign in my number of posts a day from now on.

![]() |

It's hard to resist with such a fast posting group! That's totally ok. Thanks for letting us know!

![]() |

Hey guys, just letting you know I've had a family emergency come up, and unexpected house guests. I will be unable to post Saturday. Hopefully, I should be able to post late Sunday night and again late Monday night. I will be able to post regularly by Tuesday. Sorry for holding up the game, and feel free to bot me as needed. Suggestions are contained in the spoiler I posted in the gameplay thread.
Thank you for your patience.

![]() |

I hope everything goes well.

![]() |

GM, you get 10 magical GM brownie points for the excellent roleplaying of this fey.

![]() |

Agreed!

![]() |

Fey can be fun. I was actually hoping we knocked her out or caused enough damage to cause her to be dying. Then stabilize her while Yaiho puts a leash on her and gives her as a pet to the old woman at the inn. :P

![]() |

Brock was totally serious about carrying her around in a cage and getting free drinks at bars...

![]() |

hehe... I've had characters that would do something like that too. Even had one that would force her to do a strip tease for paying customers.

![]() |

Oh Birdy would have loved the company!

![]() |

Just want to mention how much I've enjoyed this group and GM, would that all of my games be this good!

![]() |

Agreed. I thoroughly am enjoying this game.

GM ShieldBug |

Also agreed. This game has been so much fun, y'all have been amazing!
Okay, so while I have you all in such good mood, I'm going to let you in on my grand plan for GMing. Thanks to some Humble Bundles, I have recently found myself in possession of all the scenarios from seasons 4, 6, and 7. And since this is only my second time GMing, I am able to run all of them for credit in whatever order I want. :)
Now, I only have enough spare time to run one scenario at a time, so I decided that a good way of choosing which scenarios to run, and in which order, would be to make a sort of campaign that can take a 1st level character all the way up to 11. The theory being that if I run games that slowly move through the levels, I would have plenty of time to learn how to GM when the powers start getting a little crazy.
The Silverhex Chronicles
4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild
4-07 Severing Ties
2nd Level:
4-11 The Disappeared
6-08 The Segang Expedition
6-15 The Overflow Archives
3rd Level:
6-22 Out of Anarchy
4-15 The Cyphermage Dilemma
4-18 The Veteran's Vault
4th Level:
6-12 Scions of the Sky Key, Part 1 - On Sharrowsmith's Trail
6-14 Scions of the Sky Key, part 2 - Kaava Quarry
6-16 Scions of the Sky Key, Part 3 - The Golden Guardian
5th Level:
4-19 The Night March of Kalkamedes
6-18 From Under Ice
6-06 Hall of the Flesh Eaters
6th Level:
6-19 Test of Tar Kuata
6-09 By Way of Bloodcove
6-11 The Slave Master's Mirror
7th Level:
4-03 The Golemworks Incident
4-09 The Blakros Matrimony
4-21 Way of the Kirin
8th Level:
6-03 The Technic Siege
4-16 The Fabric of Reality
6-07 Valley of the Veiled Flame
9th Level:
6-21 Tapestry's Toil
4-08 The Cultist's Kiss
6-17 Fire of Karamoss
10th Level:
6-04 Beacon Below
6-13 Of Kirin and Kraken
4-04 King of the Storval Stairs
11th Level:
4-12 The Refuge of Time
??
6-20 Returned to Sky
Anywho, I thought that before opening up the normal recruitment in the Flaxseed lodge, it might be nice to invite players at the end of one game to continue on in the next on the list. I realise that most people on these boards have already played most of these scenarios, but who knows, maybe I'll be able to witness the whole career of a PC or two, even if I have to tweak the order a bit or add a season 7 scenario.
Since I lucked out with this group, I want to extend a blanket invite to you all right now. The next scenario is 4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild, would any of you fine folks want to play it with me? :)

![]() |

I a) would love that and b) have run none of those (still new to PFS).

![]() |

Darn... I would love to, but I just got another character that started a Season 4 long run (L1:XP0 to L9). And about half of those are on their list too and since they are not Evergreen quest, I wouldn't be able to take part in them. At least if the rules I was told are correct about them. The PFS book is sometimes confusing when it comes to rules on some aspects.

I just read up on some of the rules. If I am correct, I can still play those scenarios. I just won't get any credit for them. I'm willing to go that route.

Went over the conflicting Chronicles that I would have to take zero credit for. There are 11 listed below, so Yaiho will ultimately fall 3 levels behind. But that is still manageable.
1st Level:
4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild *
4-07 Severing Ties *
2nd Level:
4-11 The Disappeared *
3rd Level:
4-15 The Cyphermage Dilemma *

I would seriously like to continue playing with you and this group!
The only one I have played is 6-06 Hall of the Flesh Eaters.
Also, Yaiho, I hate to be that guy but... you can only replay scenarios for zero credit if you are the 4th player. AKA, if you are the player it takes to make a legal table. Now maybe we could replace those scenarios with Season 7 ones?

![]() |

Danicka is definitely in! Thoroughly enjoying this group, and I haven't played any of those scenarios..

![]() |

Ah... that is a bummer.

GM ShieldBug |

Wow, I wasn't expecting so many of you to be able to play so many of the scenarios! Excellent. :)
Unfortunately Forrest is right about replays, Yaiho. However, I do have all the Season 7 scenarios, so I'll have a root around to see what would fit where. I'd hate to lose you if we can find some suitable replacements.
How is everyone for swapping out Season 4 for Season 7 scenarios? Have any of you played a lot of them?

![]() |

I am definitely interested as well. Having come from homebrew campaigns where we see a whole story as a group that is what I have missed most about PFS. So getting to stick with a group for long term is a great thing. I have only played a handful of things outside of Evergreens because I am a bit of an altoholic.

![]() |

I've played 13 out of those scenarios listed. (What? I didn't realise until I started counting... Woah... ) Unfortunately, the games I've played have cut across different seasons, so chances are I would not likely be able to follow through regardless of which seasons you line up. So please go ahead and plan without me.
Season 4 - 8
Season 6 - 8
Season 7 - 11
:P

![]() |

I'm so excited about this! For once I'm glad that I'm new to Society. I have played 7-07 and 7-27.
(I will say, it wouldn't be the end of the world if people had to bow out of one or two games if they couldn't get credit. It wouldn't be hard to play in a parallel game to get credit elsewhere.)

![]() |

I'm new to PFS, and I don't think I'm currently playing in anything season 7 with any of my other characters right now, if I am it would be a level one adventure. I'm fine with you swapping some around so Yaiho can stay with us.
If you toss the names of the ones you're thinking of swapping out at me I'll be sure to avoid them with other characters and will double check what I'm playing.
As Forrest also mentioned, if we can't sort it out properly for Yaiho and he ends up having to sit a few out, Danicka would always be thrilled to have him back for the next scenario he can play in.
Cool Side Note: The adventure you chose as a Level 10: #6-13, of Kirin and Kraken: my brother wrote this one, and I've never had a chance to play it, so I sincerely hope it doesn't get shuffled out of rotation. I want to play it so bad! lol

GM ShieldBug |

That is a shame, Umbru, it doesn't look like I'd be able to shuffle the scenarios in any way that wouldn't involve you missing a fair chunk. ):
I'll have a new list of scenarios up either later today, or tomorrow. I just have to check that there will be no weird story arcs, references to stuff we won't have played, or chronological issues. (;

Wow, that is cool! There is no way that scenario will be dropped now. (:

![]() |

Yeah, if this works out my other PFS character might semi retire for a good while.
I have a number of other APs going but the posting rate on them has been less than stellar of late, sadly.
Perhaps its because we are on our way to a TPK but one combat has just been pathetic for a theoretical 1 post a day requirement.

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

This is a great opportunity to mention PFS TRACKER . It is SO nice for tracking PFS scenarios. Once we finalize a list, I'm going to mark all of the scenarios as 'Core GM' (since I never GM core) on my account that way I don't sign up for one of the scenarios with a different character! Since there are so many we are planning on running, that is a serious possibility!

![]() |

If Yaiho has to sit out a few, that is fine also. I would probably keep Yaiho out of any game until the next scenario starts since not all games run quickly.

![]() |

lol... I was curious and using Hero Lab, built Yaiho up to L11. While Raging, he will Ignore 18 Hardness on objects/terrain and do 2d6+24 damage with just his current weapon. A MW Earthbreaker.

![]() |

Nice!
Brock can do something similar with precise strike (+22 damage if I use a panache).
With a challenge, and no one else threatening and using precise strike hed do...
1d8 + 44 + DEX with a standard longsword.
I think that might be enough to settle his challenges.
