George is holding action. He is confused because we should try to save this man, but our resident Summoner keeps stabbing him with his lance.
Also, I see all five posts Professor.

![]() |

It seems all posts are visible now. Taking the first one into account.
The Professor's healing appears to heal the man-machine creature, though it is hard to gauge the effects of such a move.
Initiative - round 3/4 - bold may act!
1. Kalendir
2. Robot (staggered)
3. George (D), Sad Rock, Tywin & Graxus
4. Infested Pendleton (staggered)
5. Professor F, Shahrazad

![]() |

Shahrazad moves into the room and continues her storytelling. "And I have also heard, O Fortunate Companions, that there was once a bull who worked all day and a donkey who got to stay in the barn until the trip to the market. The donkey suggested that the bull lay down and not get up so that the farmer would not make the bull work. However, the farmer then strapped the plow to the donkey and worked the donkey near to death...."
Inspire Courage: +1 attack and damage and +1 on saves against fear!

Shahrazad, I assume this is ear-piercing scream?
Fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
The machine's wires seem about to overload for a second as a wave of inaudible sound damages them. The robot staggers, but remains strong and strikes again at Sad Rock. His massive blow misses the oread.
Slam, PA: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 - 2 = 12

The professor, clearly confused by events unfolding, shakes his fist at nothing in particular.
"Blast you, time pockets and you're causing me to do repeated actions!!!"
Looking at the others, he adds a few more utterings for good measure.
"Repeated actions!"
"Repeated actions!"

Round 4, Group 3
Epic, Professor F. Pretty epic.
Sad t1ries for some beatdown on the metaljerk. He takes a moment to scratch his head, wondering why he has no flanker to help him.
1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 + 1 - 1 = 17 to hit; (bless, shillelagh, bard, power attack)
2d6 + 6 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 20 damage. (power attack, bard, shillelagh)
AC 20, HP 35/35

"I think Pendleton is almost down Tywin, let's focus on the other robot" Graxus roars as he charges past Pendleton and swings his greatsword into the robot, while Tywin holds his lance ready to strike the robot at the same time.
lance: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 27
dmg: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 4) + 10 = 15
greatsword: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 10
dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 + 1 = 15
provoking from Pendy hes still active, though then Tywin will try a ride check to avoid the hit on Graxus, otherwise he will save that immediate action for the first attack coming round

![]() |

I'll assume George continues delaying. With the start of Gameday 3, I wish to see this scenario over as soon as you can. Game overload? Just a tiny bit. ;)
Sad Rock's blow, slow and imprecise, misses.
Pendleton tries to slam into Tywin, reaching out slowly with his half-flesh claws. However, he misses the halfling.
Slam, AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Tywin's lance pierces the robot's armor, dealing minor damage to it.
Pendleton moves after Graxus and Tywin, and continues to harrass the summoner. He's luckier this time, bruising the little one.
Slam: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Initiative - round 4 - bold may act!
1. Kalendir
2. Robot (staggered 3 rounds)

4. Infested Pendleton (staggered)
5. Professor F, Shahrazad

![]() |

Ha, happens every time when Gameday rolls around. Luckily (perhaps) for me, I'm limited by what I can actually play for credit so I don't think I overextended myself this time around.
"The donkey was upset by this turn of events and urged the bull to go back to work, as if the bull pretended to be sick or hurt for too long the farmer may butcher him. The next morning when the farmer took the bull out, the bull jumped in the air to prove that he was better, letting out a wind that would knock down the grass of a meadow as he kicked. The farmer did not hear this but his wife laughed. . . ."
Inspire Courage: +1 attack and damage, +1 on saves against fear!
Shahrazad also moves closer and summons her efreeti heritage to blast the robot with fire! (shouldn't hit Sad or any other allies)
fire: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 1) = 12
DC 15 Ref for half

![]() |

"Ahhh he keeps hitting me! I think we may have to take him down and stabilize him then!"

![]() |

Kalendir lets loose two more arrows at the metal construct.
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 2 + 4 = 13
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 = 15

+1 Attack / Damage from point Blank Shot
Precise shot to eliminate -4 modifier for shooting into melee
-2 modifier for rapid shot to fire an extra arrow
Weapon Focus and Deadly Aim -2/+4
+1 Att / Dam from Inspire Courage
+1 Att from Bless

![]() |

George shrugs tosses a bomb at the Construct. I tire of trying to save this man. It's not in my... skillset.
Bomb-RTA: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
Fire Damage: 4d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 5) + 5 = 20
Splash Damage of 9; Pendleton and Sad Rock; Reflex Save DC 18 for half.
I believe George provokes from the Gearsman.

![]() |

The professor pauses for a moment, trying to ascertain the value of continued administrations to the entity formerly known as Pendleton.
"Wha-who??? Is healing this man helping us? Or, hurting Tywin?"
The professor pushes his glasses a bit closer to his eyes.
"I'll have you know, I studied quantum arcana, not robot-possessed-man-medicine!"
Not to get meta-gamey, but I'm guessing that repeated healing of "Pendleton" is not in our best interest at this time, and we need to do non-lethal damage or something to get him unconscious and then take him somewhere to get a remove disease or something applied.
The professor narrows his eyes at the man-in-the-machine.
"If you can hear me in there, Pendleton... LIE DOWN! It will make this so much easier..."
Cast Command, DC14 Will. Longshot that it works. Command is to "lay down".

![]() |

Pendleton's Ref save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Pendleton's cannot avoid the splash from George's bomb!
As for the AoO, George is too far from the robot.
The Professor attempts to speak to Pendleton, but it seems that the young Blakros scion's mind is dormant, for the creature doesn't react to the priest's words.
The robot slams into Sad Rock, seeking to crush the rock man.
Slam, PA: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 2 = 261d4 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 6 = 17
Initiative - round 5 - bold may act!
1. Kalendir, George
2. Robot (staggered 2 rounds)
3. Sad Rock, Tywin & Graxus
4. Infested Pendleton (staggered)
5. Professor F, Shahrazad

![]() |

"Then heres to taking him down!" Graxus shouts and swings his greatsword at Pendleton, but turns it at the last moment so that he hits with the flat of his blade.
nonlethal greatsword: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 20
nonlethal dmg: 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 + 1 = 11
enough to knock him out? Then Tywin will stabilize him with infernal healing and tie him up.

Round 6, Group 3
"Ow!!"
Sad tries for some beatdown on the metaljerk.

2d6 + 6 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 16 damage. (power attack, bard, shillelagh)
AC 20, HP 18/35

![]() |

Sad Rock's massive blow hits home this time, and almost fells the robot. It now stands, more damaged than ever, on the brink of destruction.
Graxus swings at Pendleton with the flat of the blade, and beats the unfortunate scion into unconsciousness. Tywin attempts to stabilize him with a spell, but to no avail. People rendered unconscious due to NL damage don't bleed.
As Pendleton falls on the ground, a strange silvery goo starts seeping from his numerous wounds and his nostrils, mouth and ears. It quickly gathers to form a large pool, which proceeds to creep onto Tywin to try and infest him!
Automatic damage vs Graxus and Tywin: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9 and two Fortitude saves, please, a first one against Infestiation, and a second one against Distraction, then a third save vs distraction (but for Graxus this time).
Initiative - round 5 - bold may act!

Posting now since I don't want to hold up the game while at work today... I think the professor's actions are a given.
The Professor struggles between deciding if fire would help destroy the metallic goo or his administrations would help his companions battle what may happen next.
"It's like some sort of parasite... we need something to carry it in. Oh bother... my extradimensional bag is at the cleaners this week."
With holy symbol of Brigh in hand, the Professor channels to heal those who are injuring, chosing to exclude Tywin at this time, hoping that makes it easier to force the "entity" from the Pathfinder and destroy it.

The silvery ooze slowly works its way inside Tywin, crawling inside his nostrils, mouth and ears. Slowly, the halfling's consciousness fades, and lines of blue metal appear on the surface of his skin.
In response, the Professor channels a wave of soothing positive energy to continue the battle against the renewed enemy!

What happens to Graxus? Normally the eidolon disappears when it's "master" is unconscious, but I'm not sure that is what happened now...?

![]() |

Kalendir is horrified by what just happened to Tywin. By the gods how do we stop that ooze
Quickly trying to finish off the robot so that they may redirect their efforts to Tywin's aid he launches two arrows at the creature. His arrows are running dangerously low.
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 1 - 2 - 2 + 1 + 1 = 23

Left with few resources at her disposal, Shahrazad takes the whip off her belt and tries to trip the robot, hoping to fix Tywin later....

George sees Tywin go down and refocuses his efforts on destroying the gearsman. He lobs a bomb at the beast.
Bomb-RTA: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 13 + 1 = 32
Fire Damage: 4d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 5) + 5 + 1 = 20
Splash Damage of 9; Pendleton and Sad Rock; Reflex Save DC 18 for half.

![]() |

The possessed creature is unconscious for all intents and purposes, so I guess Graxus is sent back to its plane.
A first arrow whistles through the air and is unable to penetrate the robot's armor. However, the second one strikes true as well, severing an important wire that makes the robot overload! After a few twitches, it shuts down, remaining still.
With that in mind, I'll let Shahrazad retcon her action, the robot is gone for good.
George throws one of his deadly bombs, which hits the possessed halfling in the face! Tywin takes 10 damage
Pendleton's Ref: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Pendleton's inert body suffers much of the blast as well.
Initiative - round 6 - bold may act!
1. Kalendir, George
3. Sad Rock
4. Pendleton (unconscious), Cyberplasm (possessing Tywin)
5. Professor F, Shahrazad
Sad Rock needs to make two Reflex saves actually, since I didn't see him do one for round 5's bomb.

![]() |

Sad Rock isn't adjacent to Tywin, thus wouldn't suffer splash the second time. The original target was the gearsman, which was why Sad Rock would have needed a Reflex Save.

![]() |

Might I recommend non lethal dmg and readying bombs for when the swarm thingy comes out? If you have tanglefoot bags, they might be useful here. Also healing Pendleton might be helpful to get him away from the fight. Tywin is weak enough that a grapple could work once within his reach, unless the infection gives him a free slam attack.

George, you wrote that Pendleton and Sad Rock would take splash damage in your last post. I didn't look at the map, but you called it.
George sees Tywin go down and refocuses his efforts on destroying the gearsman. He lobs a bomb at the beast.
[dice=Bomb-RTA] 1d20 + 13 + 1
[dice=Fire Damage] 4d6 + 5 + 1
Splash Damage of 9; Pendleton and Sad Rock; Reflex Save DC 18 for half.

![]() |

Right. My stated target was the robot gearsman thing, which was adjacent to Sad Rock and Pendleton before Kalendir killed it. You redirected my bomb at Tywin, which is fine, but it means that Sad Rock won't take splash as he isn't adjacent to Tywin.

![]() |

now don't just throw fire at Tywin, he might die :(. Pvp is not allowed in PFS :P

![]() |

Pendleton looks okay though, right? He was healed 9hp with the last channel... I imagine that wasn't enough to make him conscious before the latest damage?
If Pendleton was conscious, then the Professor would ready an action to firebolt the parasite when it gets free. Otherwise, he'd channel agian. I'm assuming Pendleton is okay.
Fire bolt (readied, touch): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 fire.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 vs. DC 18 and 9 damage
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 vs. DC 18 and 9 damage
Sad burns and burns, used to the pain from his fellow Pathfinders.
*Sigh*
Sad say Sad *not* monster, yet Sad burned like monster.
Sad try to be more clear next time.
Sad sniffs, trying to avoid crying.
Sad moves up and switches to an underhand grip, trying to knockout, rather than kill, Tywin.

Sad Rock: You won't take the second 9 damage, so you're at 18/35 before Tywin's action I think.
Professor: Pendleton is all well and should be conscious according to the rules, but after the ordeal he's been through, he's resting on the ground. Fear not, he's alright... unless George bomb him again.
Sad swings at the halfling, but his good heart makes him miss. Sad has to prove he's no monster, after all!
The infested Tywin hits Sad Rock with his bare fists,
Slam: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 261d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Initiative - round 6 - bold may act!

3. Cyberplasm (possessing Tywin)
4. Professor F (Ready), Shahrazad

Can I keep him as a possessed character? He's finally hitting something ;). Tywin was at 13 hp and received 10 dmg so he has 3 hp left by my count btw. Not sure if some of that dmg was shared with the swarm thingy or not, but I hope Lithrac keeps track of how that works :). Btw did Tywin just knock Sad silly onto staggerness or did he forget to add some hp from the prof's channel? Also someone might want to pull Pendleton away from there.

![]() |

George will jump down behind Tywin to block his potential escape as well as to draw hits away from the injured oread. I have this Sad Rock. You are no monster. Let me take the hits now.
George will lash out with one of his claws.

Couldn't you just have kicked me? That poison is no fun and I feel conflicted about having to save against such a high dc as it originates from another pc :(. You make a good point about Drain and it being borderline PvP. I honestly wasn't thinking. Using drain against a fellow Pathfinder seem bad and I just chose the first poison on my claws. If I can use the other claw, Tywin, then it is just a Dexterity damage poison. Is that ok Lithrac?
