You know, I've been meaning to thank you, Tuich. I've started watching RWBY because you've mentioned it a few times. It's a cool show. My wife in particular really digs it.
I'm glad you're (both) enjoying it. It's become part of my "personal culture," so it naturally gets referenced. I try not to outright recommend it much though, because it seems to be one of those polarizing "love it or hate it" shows. The vitriol I read from some people is astounding; others love it beyond all measure. It's already won two "best animated series" awards, has become a massive hit in the cosplay community, and is the first American "anime" to be licensed and dubbed for introduction into the Japanese market.
By Warner Brothers, no less!
But I can never tell which way a person's going to react, so I pretty quickly stopped saying, "Watch it, you'll like it."
Might I personally return the favor and recommend [VGHS.]
Thanks for the lead, I've added it to my watch list.
I actually got teary more than a few times. My wife was bawling at the end of 3.4. She turned to me and said something like, "I thought this was supposed to be about video games!"
If you and/or your wife like that sort of shift, definitely check out Sword Art Online if you haven't yet. It starts out as MMORPG swords-and-sorcery with a dash of science fiction/mystery/drama, but somewhere around the middle you realize it's almost completely morphed into a love story (with some surprising interconnections). One of our local group's GMs (Arabella/Benson here, for those of you in games with him) introduced me to it.
P.S. RWBY V2C1: Best. Food Fight. Ever!

My wife watches way more anime than I do. And SAO is actually really cool. I didn't watch all the episodes because my wife just plowed through them. But I was able to see a lot of them. And generally I liked what I saw. I mostly enjoyed the psychological drama of it.
The new one that's a FPS world is also pretty cool.
And, yes, the food fight was amazing.

I don't watch much of it at all; I've only recently started finding anime I like.
What's the name of the FPS?
Vyk Tyr

I guess this is a bit of a spoiler, but SAO has a second series. Only its about a modern warfare MMORPG. I forget the name of the game itself though.

Yep, it's hosted on CrunchyRoll (along with a couple of "specials.")
Is that what you were referring to with the FPS? I stopped watching SAO after the first series because my time was getting tight. I wanted to wait until I could give SAO the attention it deserves! (I also want to start The Legend of The Legendary Heroes from the beginning again for the same reason. I got lost in all the characters and intertwining plots thanks to not having enough time to really watch it.)

Lets get day job rolls and PFS #'s. I am hoping to get part 2 started Wednesday or Friday. Since we have a fairly good chance of finishing before the end of the game day I will submit part 2 for a chance at boons.

Dylara survived! Yay for playing up rewards! :D
I'm almost done with a game of We Be Goblins 2, and hoping it'll finish before part 2 of this game starts. That'll bring Dylara to level 3!

SAO discussion:
I watch the new episode every week, and love it. Can't wait for the next episode, because I expect epicness!
Also watching Log Horizon, which is another anime about people trapped in a game. Very different take on it, though.
I'm still hoping Accel World gets a second season. It's written by the same author who writes SAO, and the story starts give or take 20 years after SAO.

You can make a craft, performance, or profession check to make some extra gold.

Thanks for running first part, GMK!
Quick question, because I cannot find final decision on this question. If I have GM Chronicle from game I ran November, 15th.
Wont you mind me to attach it to Khismia?
This brings her up to 3rd level balancing our party in highest tier.

We'll be running part 2 in the same Campaign thread then? Cool.

Lot's of work in office, cannot finish all Khismia's purchases. Lots of choices and I haven't any ideas of what might be useful. Except "Caravan" which costs 5PP and allows to roll Diplomacy (or Bluff, or Intimidate) for Day Job. I think, caravan will be nice addition to her Trade Princess entitlement.
By the way, I have error in my job roll: without special vanity I cannot use Appraise as Day Job. Not that it matters with that crappy roll I did, I anyway get 1gp.
Any way, I think I will solve all my level-up issues during next couple days.

Sorry I haven't been around. Last week with Thanksgiving threw off my schedule and I somehow completely forgot about my PbPs. Catching up now. I don't think I'll be buying anything between sessions unless something specific comes up before we leave town.

Yeah, I didn't need to buy anything either.

Vincent is more equipped for combat than desert survival. It's up to Dylara if she wants to do the long route.

I'd say we take the safe route. If you all aid me, and I constantly use guidance, we shouldn't get lost on our journey.

You should definitely prepare create water. Excellent spell for the dessert.

I've already prepared 4 other cantrips for today, but I will prepare it tomorrow. We can probably carry enough water for 1 day.

Most of the topics about this have been cover so I will break it down as it does not really list the amount of travel time.
Slow=Walking and taking the long way.
Fast=Using mounts (not a caravan) or taking the direct route.
Faster=Taking mounts across the direct route.

@GMK, great thanks!
I will be attending RPG Fiesta in Lithuania this weekend to introduce PF Society Organized Play there. Currently, they have no players at all. It's 3 hours drive and then I will be GMing 2 slots (from 11:00 till 22:00). Probably, I will spend Sunday sleeping and driving back, so I might be slow with my answers. Hopefully, I can check my PbPs during nights. Have a nice weekend everyone!

In case anyone wonders where the horse on the map came from: I placed a picture of Dylara's horse on the map, since she's not on it now.
I, by the way, also outlined all tokens that belong to Dylara light green.

Dylara, I missed to answer you, while was away to your request about horse. I am ready to sponsor one for you, if you don't want to spend your resources. I have some money and I don't know what to do with them. :)
Just give me a note, what should I put in my records

Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to feel like a freeloader. I'll pay for the horse and saddle myself. It'll cost me 85gp, and I'll get half of that back. It's not a huge loss.
And I've picked up the Hunting Lodge vanity for Dylara, which allows her to use Survival as a Day Job. That'll help me earn a bit more on the side! :)
I'm by the way GMing The Glass River Rescue, and will apply its chronicle sheet to Dylara. It has the following boon on it, that'll help Dylara's Day Job checks to be better in the future:

I'm also cool with buying a light horse and selling it after the adventure. I'll do the math tonight. I'm catching up now.

And we just had a mini-crisis at work (multiple drive failures in a critical RAID rack). Unsure of what my availability will be for the next day or so. I think I'll be able to post, but... shrug.

So after reading the new guide to PbP GMing I have found myself motivated and enjoying PbP more. It has also envigorated the old creative juices and I have started trying a few new ideas (well new to me). First is the perception spoiler after you clear an area like the one you recently saw. If there is no DC feel free to click on it without rolling as the scenario or myself have not given it a DC other then just looking. Another thing to keep in mind is there isn't always going to be something important. Sometimes it just might be snarky text about not finding anything.
Second difference is how I post saves. There are a lot of abilities out there that require the player to use them on saves before they know the results. This has been difficult in PbP as we have the practice of putting the DC in the spoiler title. Here is an example of how I will be doing my saves.
By putting the DC in the spoiler this allows you as the player to roll the saves first and make any adjustments from abilities then checking the results by clicking the spoiler. This is by no means a way of preventing cheating, but hopefully a way to create better game immersion by allowing some of your character abilities to function more like they do F2F.
