Up to you, once I buff up, I should be running about with an AC of 20 since if the flail is normal size, I have to two hand it.

Liberty's Edge

*sighs* Okay, Lissa has to be dealing with the Starwatcher, since she has the highest AC and more HP then everyone else by a long shot. Honestly, I rather have Triblin in a spot to heal (Because I have a feeling that we'll need it constantly), so sending Fargrim and (Sirrah or Esh) in after the discs is the best bet. Whomever's after the discs that's not Fargrim should have the Fly potion, so that they have some good speed.

Granta, you said that the discs need 2 people to set. Why is that? Are they that heavy? *looks back at the room* Or it is because how high they are? If it's the latter, then whomever uses the fly potion should be able to set one alone.

Esh can go as well to help carry the disk if Triblin stays to buff and heal.

Sovereign Court

@Lissa: It is the combination of height and weight. Even if somebody's hands can reach 8 ft. up, they won't be maneuvering a 30 lb object with their fingertips. But yes, fly would allow one person to set a disc in a slot.

Remember these tablets are heavy so is Triblin strong enough to carry one at full speed?

I wouldn't be able to do full speed unfortunately. I also have shield of faith to boost someone's AC up a bit as well you you want more Lissa, which would last a few minutes. I can run about the field healing without provoking from healing as well, which helps in that manner.

Sirrah is at your service, fight or run disks is fine with me. Lissa being 5th level helps her survivability.

Triblin healing is fine, Fargrim and Esh on the disks, while Sirrah and Lissa try to hold off the baddie.

Anything happen when Triblin picked up the flail?

Sovereign Court

No effects, ill or otherwise, when Triblin holds the flail.

While Shield of Faith won't help me as much (I have a Ring of Protection +1, So only +1 instead of +2), Any little bit helps.

GM, I was wondering (again): if the snaky snake is grappled by the golem, he shouldn't be able to make AoOs. Or maybe there's a special ruling at use for this beast. :)

Paizo PRD on the grappled condition:

Grappled: A grappled creature is restrained by a creature, trap, or effect. Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.

A grappled creature cannot use Stealth to hide from the creature grappling it, even if a special ability, such as hide in plain sight, would normally allow it to do so. If a grappled creature becomes invisible, through a spell or other ability, it gains a +2 circumstance bonus on its CMD to avoid being grappled, but receives no other benefit.

I think there is a special rule for this scenario - as the whole encounter is really us running back and forward avoiding the tentacles.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well, but I wanted to ask anyway ^^

Sovereign Court

Yes, this combat breaks several rules AND has some new ones of its own. Technically, the monolith gives the Xacarba the "impeded" condition, which is way worse than being grappled. It drops his CR by 9.

Thanks for the run Granta!

I'd been starting to think that snake style was a bit sucky after low levels, but it made a huge difference in that last battle!

Sovereign Court

Yep. The fight probably would've lasted a couple rounds longer without it.

For the purposes of the liberty's edge faction mission: Liberate one or more slaves, captives, or hostages during an adventure

Does the rescue of the team from the influence of that tentacled horror count?

Fellow Pathfinders, thank you as well for making a fun game, it's been my pleasure.

Thanks GM Granta! The scenario was quite fun, enough that I just bought it to run at a home game. The last fight was pretty epic overall, especially with the two titans in a grapple fest.

I was glad that I could play with everyone, and hope that I did okay on my end. It was quite fun with everyone!

@Triblin -- great job especially with the channels...pretty sure we wipe without your healing (or everyone put Fargrim anyway...love that snake style)

Can't wait until I have the ability to reroll 1s on my channels, which will help out immensely.

Sovereign Court

@Fargrim: Absolutely. "Maintaining a compulsion spell or effect to control a creature for at least one day," makes one a slaver, so being under said spell or effect should make one a slave.
