GM Dennis |
Please post the following info so I have it for reporting at the end:
1) Name
2) Character name
3) Faction
4) PFS #/Char #
5) Regular or slow progression
6) Roll your day job
7) Anything weird I should know about your character?
GM Dennis |
HERE is a post I made in a previous iteration of this game showing how and when to use the different tags.
Daffy Johns |
Here's an example profile that you can use as a model for setting up your profile/tagline.
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
Looking forward to it, all!
1) Adam Daw
2) Armiger Forensus
3) Silver Crusade
4) 186672-12
5) Regular
6) Profession (Soldier): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
7) I have a combat-trained warhorse, and a combat-trained dog. Due to my faith, I can cast Protection from Chaos once per day.
GM Dennis |
Which one of those (the horse or the dog), if either, is going to be taking standard actions?
Also, I'll be interested to see you play an armiger. That's a build I've been planning to do recently.
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
I'm excited to play the Armiger too!
I don't expect the mount to act independently unless attacked. The dog will be perceiving and aid/flanking in combat, but he's so very squishy.
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
I'm so curious as to how your FF is higher than your normal AC Doug :D

Kicked things off in the campaign with a description of Lucius arriving.

I'm working on stating her up still (yes, even for a level 1 test build) but I'll be bringing in a bard with the Fey Prankster archetype. It'll eventually be on a Naiad boon, though not for this run (probably a gnome for now)
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
Sounds fun :-) Looking forward to getting this rolling!
Old Monk Wu |
1) Douglas Hahn
2) Wu
3) GL
4) 232159-11
5) Regular progression
6) No day job
7) Wu is blind. Through his class bonus feat that ignores prerequisites for a style feat, and the blind zeal trait, he has access to blinded blade style, and blinded competence.
Desirea |
1) Nick Flitter
2) Desirea
3) Grand Lodge
4) 156895-13
5) Regular progression
6) Roll your day job
7) Uses Dragon Style. Nothing crazy (just yet)
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
Two monks and a Hellknight-in-training so far. This should be interesting.

Yeah, typo. 14, not 24 :)

Hey all, Roger said he would take a look at this this week. I'd like to get going by this weekend, one way or another. Please take the next few days to make sure your character profile is up to date.

Same — all ready! I also put some basic combat macros in my profile; I saw Bernie doing that and thought it was a great idea.

Goes to look

I actually meant the bar on here right under the name. Is that just from manually filling in the fields?
Ah, yes. That's just manually filling in the race/class fields. You can look at another profile as an example, like Daffy I linked above.
Desirea |
So Dennis, are you making the knowledge check for us and placing the info under spoilers to condense space? Or is this a trust system where we make knowledge rolls and then check the spoiler if we make it?
Old Monk Wu |
I can answer: your skills should be visible on your online profile like they are in a normal statblock; roll the d20 with your modifier on the forum like you would anything else — if you beat the DC you can read the spoiler, share it, and ask questions.
GM Dennis |
Yep, what Doug said. Your rolls are visible, I just have to trust you to only read the spoilers that are available to you based on your rolls.

Just so everyone's clear on how initiative works in PbP: I generally do block initiative. You do not need to wait for the people before you to act, you may post your action as long as you are within the block of people that may act. This includes when initiative order wraps around to the top of the next round. Even though Desirea is acting at the top of round two, Nick doesn't need to wait for everyone at the bottom of round one to act before he posts Desirea's action. You can wait if you want to see what other people do, or even better is to post conditional actions in spoilers (example below):
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Desirea draws a club and bludgeons the snakes.
attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
A lot of the things we do in PbP are to make it more efficient and minimize the amount of time where the whole table is waiting for one person to act.

I totally stole that Spell Templates link. Great idea!
GM Dennis |
There's a link to a Google Slide deck at the top of this page (on the left) and in my GM Dennis tagline ("Confirmation"). It's set so that anyone with the link can edit it, so on your turn you can just move your token yourself. I can always look at the version history, but there may be times I ask you to add arrows showing your path.
I created the map by copying the image from the scenario, and created the tokens by screengrabbing them from google image searches. Your tokens I took from your avatars and cropped them into circles.
GM Dennis |
No worries.

Thanks for running, Dennis! It was fun!
Armiger Lucius Forensus |
Thanks a bunch Dennis! See you all soon :-)
