Technic Siege/Full Map

As Ebon advances in a rage, the kobold warriors lash out with their spears!

Attack 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Attack 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Attack 3: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Damage 2: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Damage 3: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

Two of the spears connect, each piercing Ebon's legs. Ebon then cleaves the kobold leader in two with a tremendous blow!

Draco trips kobold #3, and Mez steps in, killing it with a powerful blow from his rapier!

Norine's healing washes over the party.

Next up - Calanthe & then Targost. Only the top two kobolds are alive, and the lower one was wounded by Targost earlier.

Updated map, if needed, after kobolds' next turn.

Technic Siege/Full Map

The third kobold falls, screaming in agony. The last one turns and runs away, through the door to the north, shouting in Draconic.

Draconic:
"Help! Intruders! Alarm!"

You hear some scuffing sounds through the door, but nothing comes through the opening. The door stands open, and as you approach, you can see into antoher room, but don't see the kobold through the doorway.

Is the first door closed after the kobold ran through, or can we see down the hall and the first closed door is at the end?

Technic Siege/Full Map

Good question! Sorry it isn't very clear. You're in the square room. The first door is open. You can see a closed door at the other end of the hallway/room. You can tell it's not a 5' hallway, but the doorway is such that you can't really peek around the corner without going through.

With the escape of the Kobold, Mez sighs audibly as he picks up a few loose stones from the floor. Casting light on each of them, and Shield of faith on himself, he defensively creeps out in front of the hall and tosses his lit pebbles every few feet down the tunnel, hoping to illuminate any would be ambushers.

AC is now 22, full defensive makes it 26. Step to the square in front of the tunnel entrance, and toss light stones down the hallway

Technic Siege/Full Map

The patch of light widens, and you can see that the doorway opens up into a large room. Near theback of the room, you can just make out the shape of a kobold. Before you move, you notice light glinting off metal on either side of the door, just inside the next room.

Calanthe cautiously re-enters the room, looking sadly upon the bodies of the kobolds and looking for any hints that their souls still remained on the mortal plane. (Using deathwatch.) If any are still alive, she kneels down beside them and places a gentle hand on their head, muttering a prayer to keep them alive. (Casting stabilize on them.)

Technic Siege/Full Map

Norine's healing power washes over the group, mending their injuries.

With both channels, Ebon is back at full strength - he was the worst off. I think this only makes 3 channels used today?

The light is reflecting off something small, like a dagger blade or spearhead, perhaps.

The kobolds here are all beyond Calanthe's aid.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

In their rush to strike, both spears miss.

Mez sees three other kobolds around the room. Out of the darkness, a voice hisses:

Draconic:

The other kobolds, with their weapons out, advance on Mez, but do not attack yet.

Targost's acid ball just misses a Kobold.

I'm unsure if I can see any of the kobolds right now, but...

Calanthe maneuvers her way to a position where she can see through the doorway, or otherwise waits patiently until a kobold comes through the door (and survives Ebon's readied strike). Upon seeing a kobold, she immediately reaches out in the empty air, grasping for the weak-willed kobolds' spirits and tearing them ever-so-slightly away from their mortal frames...

Using daze on the first kobold I can see within 25 ft. (that isn't killed by Ebon's readied strike that is!) - DC 14 Will save or dazed for 1 round.

Technic Siege/Full Map

Sorry, but to keep things moving along, I'm going to GMPC soem of you just a little bit. We are very close to completing the mission!

Dracothis steps up beside Mez and readies his whip for a trip attack. He will wait to see if the creatures are hit by Ebon or Calanthe first.

Seeing Mez step back, the center kobold rushes through the door to attack Norine.

Ebon swings his sword down, bent on slashing the creature clean through.

Ebon's attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

I didn't add rage, but you hit anyway.

Ebon damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 5) + 4 = 11

Ebon's blow indeed does kill the kobold warrior.

Seeing his companion meet an early demise, the next kobold rushes through in a fit a fury.

Attacks of Opportunity for Ebon & Mez.

Ebon's AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Mez' AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Ebon lands another blow, while Mez can't get enough force behind his thrust to puncture the beast's armor.

Ebon's damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 5) + 4 = 10

Again Ebon's attack is so mighty that is rends the kobold nearly in two.

A third kobold, seeing his friends fall to a flurry of baldes, relaizes he has a chance to exact some revenge - he runs up to Norine to strike!

Calanthe casts her spell and the kobold pauses for an instant.

Will save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16

He is unfazed by the spell.

Dracothis then lashes out with his whip!

Trip is v. CMD, right?

Trip attempt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

The whip does not quite wrap around the kobold's ankle.

Kobold attack v. Norine: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

The spear cuts into Norine's side, but just leaves a scrape.

The remaining kobolds hold their ground.

Ok, so now it's: Norine, Targost, Mez, Ebon, Calanthe, Draco, kobolds.
