The next room turns out to be a toolshop of some sort (Number 3). Tools for repairing armor and mending weapons are is disarray, broken bits and pieces scattered all over the ground.
The next (Number 4) room's door is ajar. Shelves of weapons and armor racks line the walls in this small chamber. The racks are well-stocked with tarnished and broken equipment.
Further down the corridor (Number 10), rusted metal beds, stacked three high, line the walls of a room. The mattresses are little more than dust held together by mold.

Jhalan ensures the route ahead is safe, and as Rhanloi enters the room with the ancient beds, he notices a discarded piece of vellum on the floor.
The vellum looks fragile, ready to crumble at the slightest touch.

Rhanloi will examine the crumbling vellum without touching it, using his skills and spells. (Detect magic, Linguistics, Kn(Arcana), other Kn skills. If they can't see what's on it, he will pull out his spellbook and study a new 0-level spell, then cast mending...)

The mending spell patches up the scroll well enough to be able to unfold it and read it. The scroll contains an incomplete account of a holy ritual: it tells of a samurai sacrificing himself to contain a pocket of particularly malevolent necromantic energy.
Krux casts a spell, protecting himself with illusory doubles, and moves forward. The next room contain more and more of the expansive barracks complex.
As he does so, Jhalan notices an unsprung trap in the corridor, separating this room from the next. It's a blade trap, set to injure unsuspecting passers-by.
