"I am blind!" Kintampo shouts while trying to hit the unseen caster again, flailing wildly at the place where he appeared just an instant before everything went black.

As she sees the caster, an almost dead Pandora calls for her magical powers into his bow for an arcane strike, steps to the front bleeding and full of tentacle bruises and shots a deadly wave of arrows at him while she keeps singing.

Pandora doesn't hesitate and lands an arrow in the chest of the caster. The evil woman start spewing blood, but amazingly keeps standing while the second arrow is deflected by a magical shield. Kintampo strikes at the woman, but misses.

Taking advantage of the visibility of the caster, Shadow Lion rides up and deals a crushing blow, leaving the conjurer dead on the floor.

In the distance, the tolling of an alarm bell can be heard, as well as an otherworldly howl.

The bright lighting in this wide chamber highlights the gruesome experiments and tortures performed within. Several broad tables have manacles affixed to either end to restrain struggling subjects, and dark, sticky residue cakes a pair of broad stone basins. Along the north wall stand four stone statues of ghastly figures whose expressions suggest they delight in what they see.

On one of the tables, a shackled woman is still covered in golden glitters.

After 18 seconds Kintampo regains his eye-sight "Quick! What are we waiting for! Let's get moving!

He then notices the shackled woman "Is she alive and can we save her?"

Pandora yells in pain as Elenial heals her with the wand "Oh, that was terrible. I thought I wouldn't be able to free myself. Thanks Elenial, I don't know how to repay you for your help" the woman looks very deeply at the elf eyes as she says so.

Looking at Kintampo as she is being healed, she says "Do not hesitate to check with the woman if she is alive. We want to act, this is under alarm"

The shackled woman is very much alive, but unable to speak clearly. Her tongue has been cut out!

Kintampo tries to release the shackled woman "Are you one of the Riftwardens? Wait here, we will free the rest"

He then uses his wand of infernal healing on himself and moves towards the stairs leading out of the room "Are you coming?"

The woman nods in acknowledgement, and makes a sound ah-ah-eeh. A quick search of the fallen conjurer reveals the key that opens the shackles, and the woman follows the gestures of Kintampo after being released.

Pandora approaches the wizard corpse and full of rage she stabs the heart of the foe making sure of the death "You will never again endanger my life creature of the hell"

The woman looks then for any interesting object, paying special attention to anyone with a magical aura. She helps herself with a casting of detect magic.

She finally approaches the rescued woman and asks her "Are you a Riftwarden?" if she moves her head affirmatively she asks "Are you Jahani?" and finally "Can you guide us to more of the other Riftwardens?"

"We need to move quickly, as we do not have much time before the local guards surround this place." Shadow Lion says as he moves to the next door an opens it.

Pandora asks the prisoner some questions. She nods a yes to the first two, then points in the direction that Kintampo and Shadow Lion are already moving in. To the south is a corridor lined with cells - covered by wooden doors - that turns around a corner.

At the end of the hallway, in the southwest corner, Elenial spots a guard fleeing upstairs.

What about the wizard equipement Kludde@? Nothing magical?

Pandora exclaims on the woman answer "You are Johani!", she tabs the woman's tongue with her wand.

She observes if that solves the tongue thing in the hope she can talk "Fast, tell us were are the other ones. Follow us closely but avoid placing yourself into danger" she says while offering the wizard leader her dagger "Defend yourself if needed"

She then nods to Shadow Lion and hastily follows Johani indications, moving to the end of the corridor and peering through the corner.

Pandora tries to cure the Riftwarden, but more potent magic is needed to grow back a tongue. She happily takes the dagger, but looks feeble. Better not risk her on the front lines.

Kintampo checks if the doors to the cells can be opened easily, if there are any keys nearby and if they open with Sophini's key

All of the smaller cells are locked, though sophini's keys prove to be matching.

After opening several doors, and finding them empty, the party hears the howling coming from the southern corridor suddenly becoming extremely loud...

In the southern corridor, two foul-looking howling outsiders appear

I shrink to normal size & I would had retrieved my other hammer as they tended the Riftwarden :)

Pandora immediately reacts at the sight of the large outsiders starting to yell "They are here! In this corridor"

She casts grease hoping to reduce their advancement at half and perhaps prone one of them.

Additionally, she tries to look in her mind to identify what kind of creature they are.

The left most creature rumbles up the northern hallway to engulf Barry and Elenial in a breath of fire

The other creature casts a spell at Pandora and Kintampo from its prone position

Recognizing the demons Pandora shouts "They are Ceustodemons! Watch out!" and she adds to her explanation any special defenses the creatures might have, paying special attention to damage reduction and immunities.

She also starts singing granting her inspiring courage song to all her allies again this turn.

Pandora quickly hands for her silver arrows and places one on her bow "Silver! Use silver against them unless you have a good aligned weapon!" and shouts as well the other immunities "They are also immune to acid, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, polymorph effects, sleep effects, and they have good resistance against cold, electricity and fire!"

Ceustodaemons have: DR 10/good or silver; Immune acid, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, polymorph effects, sleep effects; Resist cold 10, electricity 10, fire 10.

While Barry is fast enough to avoid parts of the fire Elenial stays in the middle of the fire and takes the full damage.

Elenial steps behind the corner of the wall and applies her oil of bless weapon to her elven curve blade. favored enemies: evil outsiders +4

Barry rushes forward and tries to bite the evil foe.
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Player knows about the DR, but Barry does not

Silver, I can do that, as Chasik moves forward to meet the foe head on, drawing his silver hammer as he goes.

On Pandora's instructions, Shadow sheathes his kanata and draws his silver lucerne hammer as he spurs Apples forward and into striking distance of the prone hound.

Move action to sheath katana and another move action to draw the hammer.

Pandora resist the slowing charm of the ceustodaemon, and starts her own song to bolster the group's morale. Shadow Lion changes weapons and moves up to the prone daemon.

Near the other daemon, Elenial manages to avoid the brunt of the damage, and sees Barry rushing forward to bite the foe - but only manage to snap at the air.

Kintampo moves forward while quickly drawing a wand. He uses the wand on himself and waits just outside the greased area.

Pandora makes a gesture with her left hand and the grease in the floor pours through the ground crevices and disappears in a sudden.

She then steps out of the corner and while keeping loathing the heroism of her companions with a song, she let's a flurry of silver arrows to fly towards the vile creature.

In the south end of the corridor, Shadow Lion swipes at the retreating Daemon. Pandora then lands an arrow in the eye of the daemon, which howls in pain. Kintampo casts a spell and tries to attack, but only misses by a narrow margin.

On the north end, Elenial is quick to try and avenge the death of Barry, and draws inspiration from Pandora's song to deliver a mighty strike. She finds Chasik at her side, attacking with gusto as well.

Apples pursues the hound and Shadow takes two swings with his hammer.

Shadow Lion destroys the spine of the howling creature with one swing, and crushes it skull with the next. It quickly dissipates and returns to its home place.

The last creature growls and rips at Elenial, dealing massive bleeding wounds with its fangs and claws.

Too far away to see what happened to Elenial, and having the demon out of line of effect, Pandora gives the keys to Johani "Please, find your Riftwarden companion. We have to get out of here immediately!"

She then moves as fast as she can to the front line, just reaching the corner of the corridor to see Elenial falling into the ground "Elenial!!!! You bastard! Come here to me!"

Pandora keeps singing.

Pandora keeps inspiring courage, her voice breaking briefly as Elenial goes down. At least Elenial is still alive, though she is rapidly bleeding out. Shadow Lion and Chasik surround the howling, evil creature, and both plant their attacks in, turning it into a mess of shredded fur and dark daemonic blood. Despite all this, it is still standing.

The creature turns around, and with a last ditch effort breathes another cone of fire in the direction of Shadow Lion and Kintampo. Pandora manages to avoid the blast, and Jahani is luckily out of reach as well.

Kintampo catches the full blast square on his chest. He takes a deep breath and tries to cast a spell. Unfortunately he fails to make the proper movements. Frustrated he steps forward and smashes the quarterstaff against the daemon's head.

Kintampo's frustration proves enough to crack the skull of the daemon, no arcane might needed. With cracking sound also offers a brief respite from being attacked.

Somebody will probably stabilise Elenial, non?

Jahani shouts something I'ooo', she voices AI-OOO, when there is suddenly a response from one of the cells EEEEAH. Behind the cell door is a man, clearly an acquantaince of Jahani's, who has undergone the same treatment as Jahani.

There is a lot of noise coming from the staircase, shouting and clanking of boots. It sounds like the law is about to swoop down on this place. Jahani tugs nervously at the hem of Pandora's shirt, and point to the exit to the sewers.

Pandora approaches Elenial as fast as possible and touches the woman to heal her wounds.

As the woman recovers she helps her up, without letting drops to go out but with big smile she says "Oh sweet! You fought ferociously!"

Once Jahani has freed his Riftwarden companion and she tosses Pandora's vestments, the woman stands up and nods to her gestures "Yes, let's run out of here! Everybody, let's get out!"

Pandora starts also running to the sewers, helping Elenial to her side, and aiming to the stairs going up.
