"No offense taken, but if you please... I am about to remove this weapon from the corpse's belt, and I suspect it was the only thing keeping him from rising to attack us with the others."

Parumartish prepares to grab the kukri and immediately back away. As soon as Lexia and the others are prepared for what I assume will be another hostile undead corpse, he will do so. Also, is the kukri not magical?

Parumartish grabs the kukri from the tall warrior's belt, while the warrior keeps standing a silent vigil over the room.

The kukri is only faintly magical, hard to identify. It could be abjuration, it could be divine.

Time seemed to slow down as Lexia watched in anticipation as Parumartish grabs the exotic weapon from the long dead preserved warriors belt "I don't think that I have ever been so happy you were wrong" she said releasing a drawn out sigh followed by a giggle.

"Maybe we should resume our mission, who knows what kind of trouble he is in with undead and the Inheritor knows what running around." she said as she staggered off limping towards the office stopping at the bronze half plate "umm do one of you want to help me get this on... preferably you Blue dove" she said a small tent of red creeping its way across her alabaster cheeks.

Imperia would like to don the half plate

Lexias eye brows raise at the dwarfs remark I don't think he understands how much padding I wear under this armor. The only exposed skin is my face and even now that's covered. Even then she only seemed to glow redder at his words. Looking down at herself Then again even with all of that I am still curvy. a tone of disbelief in her voice.

She opened her mouth to speak before pausing seeing Dobar prodding the corpse "Please leave the body alone" she said meekly before returning to chasing one of the back straps around like a dog its tail.

Dobar spends a brief moment investigating the Mwangi warrior before being reprimanded by Imperia. The warrior stand 6 feet tall and would have been a formidable opponent in his days. He's not wearing a scarf, a detail missed by the historians setting up the exhibition.

Alia quietly enters the office room. Within, several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead. The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.

As soon as the adventurers enter the room, two ape-like creature drop down form the ceiling above with a loud howling. As soon as this happens, the howling is joined by a piercing scream coming from the cabinet. Aaaaooooh

Round 2: If one of the apemen is down, Parumartish will move south, out of the corner, and to the other side of the remaining apeman putting as much distance between them as he can. If neither is down by his turn, he will instead use his move action to retrieve his acid flask. Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

With the ape-man blinded and stunned, a flurry of knife stabs, spears and acid rains down on the two ape-man, who are no match for such an onslaught. The ape-men collapse almost simultaneously, and as they do so, a silvery mist emerges from the monkeys, escaping through mouth and nostril, while the ape-men themselves revert to a more human form.

Two battered and bruised museum clerks lie bleeding on the floor - they will die if left unaided.

Another mad howl coming from the cabinet breaks the silence.

By my reckoning, down in the second round, so that would be a single round of bardic performance spent

Oh yeah... you probably are (at least during these crucial moments when the clerks are bleeding out I would assume). Guess we'll have to try our hands at first aid without you. Azura should aid since that Helpful trait is brilliant. I can make two rolls if the first one isn't good thanks to Prescience. So if I do the heal checks and Dobar and Lexia assist, we should be able to stabilize them. Also, if you plan to cast any cure light wounds, Azura, Lexia is still injured from our encounter with the undead.

Parumartish kneels to examine the bodies. "It would appear the effects of the curse have lifted, but these men will die if we do not help them. I am no physician, but I will do what I can if you two will assist me." He pushes his sleeves back and begins ripping pieces of the clerks' clothing to make bandages.

"Of course, your excellency," Parumartish replies with a deep bow. "I will be certain to remember the moral superiority of your reasoning when it gets us all killed."

Italics usually means it's inner dialogue, so he thought the line about shallow outlook of humans... funny thing is, he's the human, while she is not, lol!

Azura shakes her head, clucking her tongue disparagingly again. Ah wizards, unfailingly arrogant.
"As Pathfinders, we are expected to work together, and I do not agree with your decision to treat your fellows as pawns. If things had gone differently, she could have been killed. You would not have us leave you vulnerable, eh? Now stop bickering like children and attend!"

She listens for any response from the cabinet.

Toasted toads people! Get your heads on straight. We've a job to finish 'ere. Hrmph! Dobar approaches the cabinet listening, while trying to filter out the others bantering.

Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

He then begins running his rough hands along the cabinet, intent on discovering any surprises that may have been put in place.

Perception (Traps):1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Satisfied that he "probably" found anything of note he steps back, slinging his crossbow and retrieving the obsidian dagger from the floor.

Doh! You're right; I forgot Lexia is an Aasimar. Ha! Read that as "people" (or even "emotions") rather than "humans". Also, I believe Lexia was thinking that line about my shallow outlook.

Parumartish again sighs in resignation. She was more likely to be killed had I not done exactly what I did, and we are all pawns... but it is useless to argue with them.

"Yes, we really should get on with it."

As Dobar approaches the cabinet, another shrieking re-emerges, drowning out the bickering of the human and aasimar behind him. With the distraction of weapons clashing gone, it is quite clear to Dobar that this is the voice of a human, albeit a very hoarse one. Scanning the cabinet for traps, he finds none, though the cabinet is closed from the inside.

Great stuff, great stuff! Really enjoying this...

Just clarifying. Is it locked from the inside? Also what is it made out of?

paru I like it as humans lol. and ty Kludde. Also Azura I know its just that I could not resist an attempt at irony

Watching the dwarf probe the cabinet Lexia attempts to reason with the creature inside "sir we are with the pathfinder organization and have been sent to help now we can hardly do that without your cooperation." pausing to look at the two unconscious men Lexia continues "not only do we need your assistance but so do your friends please lets stop the bloodshed together." she says a hopeful look playing across her face.

Dobar drops his pack and begins rummaging through it, finally breaking out a sheet of paper, some tinderwig, and his watersking. He holds the waterskin up puting a finger to his lips as does. He then twist the paper tightly and lights it.

Aaargh! Noooo! the hoarse shouting continues. It's the kind of panicked, hysterical shouting you would expect from a man just waking from a terrible nightmare and noticing it hasn't quite left yet.

When Imperia speaks her words, the screaming dies down, and a rummaging can be heard. A man emerges, looking not entirely unlike the two other men that lie unconscious on the floor. He looks alarmed at the oaoer Dobar is holding and then takes a look around. Yannick! Kadarnis!

The man introduces himself as Saldak. He is blubbery, obese clerk of the museum.

I smelled something wrong with those hideous monkey-faced things as soon as Luigizar brought them in. I've a nose for trouble, I do, but no-one listens!

Saldak points out a cloth in one of the drawers of this room. Here, this would help against the curse. It's supposed to be countermagic, used to shield from the influence of demons.

The cloth functions as a scroll of break enchantment or it can be used as the focus for a bardic performance, granting a special for of countersong
