Roles at the Opera:

Leading Male (Sheng) There are two leading male roles for the performance, the General and the Monkey King.
The General wears a long beard and fights with a wooden sword (1d8 nonlethal) and armor (treat as splint mail).
The Monkey King wears an elaborate monkey mask. The Monkey King is portrayed as an acrobat and trickster and is permitted to cast spells.

Leading Females (Dan) There are two leading female roles, the Warrior Woman and the Wizened Crone.
The Warrior Woman wears full armor (treat as splint mail) and peacock feathers, and fights with a dulled, bladed polearm (1d8 nonlethal).
The Wizened Crone wears long robes and walks with a cane. She is permitted to cast spells.

Painted Faces (Jing) The Jing role represents a strong and forceful male. The two choices for this performance are the Noble Warrior and the Cruel Bandit.
Noble Warrior wears red face paint and full armor (treat as splint mail), and wields a large club (1d10 nonlethal).

The Cruel Bandit wears blue face paint and wields a long wooden knife (1d4 nonlethal), specially balanced to allow a capable individual to make nonlethal sneak attacks with it.

Clowns (Chou) (2) These humorous characters are allowed to speak with the audience in order to make jokes at their opponents’ expense. Chou are also permitted to cast spells. Male Chou identify their characters by painting wide white circles around their eyes. Female Chou paint their faces red with black circles about the eyes. Clown costumes do not include weapons; however, Chou can carry and wield a broom or stick (treat as an improvised weapon dealing 1d6 nonlethal damage), claiming it to be whatever weapon they desire for the sake of performance and comedic value.

Unable to see what is going on within the mist Elneth focuses on defensing her position. Then she overhears a man shouting and she asks as aloud as her full mouth allows her "Faf-iff-goinf-on-ffefe! Fo-you-neef-feff-ffefe?"

She steps out of the mist and readies an action to attack anyone, not an ally, approaching her position with bad intentions or a ruby.

Looks like there was no stepping back. He was trapped against the bar. Deulge pulled his wand and used that instead and gets 8 points instead of 9.

Given you can only see 5', how are you intending to aim the spell to get only the swordsman? Also where your figure is on the map... is a large pool, and hole in the floor that drops down to the sea below. While a possible exit route, it almost certainly has risks of its own.

I can do it from the bar Amarion's currently standing on anyways. And the Sound off! should allow me to get a sense of where people are, at least enough to avoid their 5' space. I just figured waiting for 5 people to say I speak loudly so Amarion doesn't hit me with a spell was something better to short cut in this special :p

To the east of Deluge is a window. Looking around, you can see groups of warriors clustered around various windows and doors, waiting for someone to try and make an escape.

Which I have kept off the map for simplicity sake.

If you want to make a break through the window, you'll have to fight your way out.

Sir Ninn raises his voice momentarily to alert his allies of the danger, then steps away and back into the combat. As the orc attacks him again, Sir Ninn finally fights back, and says, "Deluge, move behind me quick. Before he recovers his balance."

So the website still occasionally sucks when I need to post something long and complex.... In brief, Crowd? No crowd? Is everyone jammed against the exits? Did any part of it take the bait? Did Faeria actually need to roll concentration checks all the rounds she did? Note if she did (in which case she failed the last one) her school ability means the illusion is still up and running for a round. Deluge attempts to roll through the window, preferably by opening it first, but if that does not work then by breaking it.

@Faeria, as time has gone on, more people have noted the illusion. I've typically put a post in about that. That said, the room is one gigantic melee, so people fighting for their lives (or rubies) have more pressing concerns. And yes, given the jostle of the crowd, you do have to make a concentration check each round. What you are doing is not specifically covered in the scenario, but I've tried to provide a mechanical benefit to your group where appropriate. You can (and probably should) still move during the round.[/ooc]

Yes, the masterwork rapier counts as long as I'm using it in my disarm attempt.

Without warning, loud slamming noises echo through the tavern, even over the fray of the combat within. Moments later, the front doors rupture in a shower of splinters. In full battle regalia, a contingent of Absalom’s First Guard rush into the room. Swinging heavy chains and nets, they beat into the brawlers en mass, dragging dozens to the floor. The remainder of the contestants break from their opponents, and the crowd devolves into a raging mob as all race frantically for the nearest exit to avoid arrest.
