Out of combat, Alvin has no problem using wands for people.
Alvin sweeps with Detect Magic in here. Assuming he doesn't find anything interesting with that spell... Books about necromancy, huh? Alvin picks one up and starts reading on the go, with intent to return it after they are done here.

And a very in-depth library it is too.
The scope of the collection is limited to morbid topics of concern to necromancers. It contains standard texts on undead studies and anatomical references as well as books on the subject of the funerary rites of various cultures, death ceremonies, serpent toxins, necromantic tinctures, and similarly morbid works.
From the sounds all around it appears that other groups of pathfinders are also descending on the same area.
You guys are acing the encounters, or maybe I was a little kind with the spectres, but you have a couple of days (Real time, not game time) unless all the other tables finish early. One of the others at least has finished.

The tendrils appear to be tiny rifts of ethereal energy. Probably very cold. And very powerful, potentially deadly to those already weakened by the wraith...
Thorn thinks that with luck he might be able to stop them.
It is a disable device check, DC >20 and <30 - to give him a rough range. Likely exposure to the tendrils while being disabled whether he is successful or not. To be precise, he will need to make three successes to shut it off entirely. Every success counts towards the group objective. Obviously the group total is higher than three though, but if you get up to three, then there is no further danger this this team.
And semi-full disclosure, evasion won't be helpful here if you are factoring it into risk calculations.

Those good at disrupting magical types of things could be of use here. I wonder if Displacement would help avoid the tendrils...
If Alvin thinks it's a good idea, and Thorn wants to volunteer to try this out, he will cast Displacement on Thorn.
If it becomes life threatening, Alvin can enable his Draconic Reservoir from the GM boon and rush in with a Dimension Door to get him out of there.

Alvin thinks the tendrils are lacking any specific direction and seem to be moving more or less at random, so displacement probably wouldn't help. Probably. Hard to tell for sure.

Godfrey, with his considerable machismo, soaks up the cold damage with gritted teeth. He seems to ignore it after the tendril passes, tossing the pathfinder he had grabbed ahead of him and away from the device moments before it shuts down.

We have a day or so up our sleeves likely for Kyra and Lem to do wand heals. if we move on to the next section early then I'll apply them to the most damaged PCs until there is less than 5 damage (average for a wand touch) and then Hugsy.
