Hrm...obviously untrained...
Grimbli picks up an interesting-looking instrument - something with strings - and attempts to play it. As the bow touches the strings of the instrument, however, it is quickly evident that this instrument is not one that can just be played. "Well, I'll just put that back, now, shall I?"

It only takes five minutes to search this small room. Most of the texts in this room relate to music, yet there are still two noteworthy clues that you turn up.
The first is a text called
Esoteric Alphabetization This library uses a strange
system for organizing its texts: it alphabetizes its texts based on the progression of major musical scales instead of using the Taldan alphabet
(if you choose to use this text to help in a search of a room, everyone gets +2 to all their search checks in that room)
The second is :
An Exciting Read You have found several particularly engaging texts, and you find it particularly easy to concentrate on the reading.
(Pick a room to use this in, and pick a PC, that PC may roll twice in that room).
You are pretty sure you have found all the relevant information in this room.

Time is indeed limited, you can all hear the music playing along quite nicely at the moment. With no accurate way to keep track of time, you don't know exactly how long you have been down, probably around half an hour or so.

Morrolan answers (loudly enough that hopefully the others can hear he is talking to someone before they enter),
Learning.
One of the primary factors that separate intelligent beings from beasts of the field is our god given ability to learn from the experiences of others. Animals may learn, but only from their direct experiences. People have the capability to find out about the successes and failures of those that have gone before.
That is my goal.

As I said, I m here to learn. Taldor has had noteworthy and admirable victories in the past. We, as a people, are currently struggling against similar foes without as significant of success. It is to be hoped that the truth of Taldor's experiences can assist in re-invigorating our efforts. To again provide a beacon of greatness.
I personally am not yet a Lionblade, though that is a step on my path yet to be trod.

Diplomacy checks are helpful. And there is only one lions head.
"But _what_ information are you seeking? I can tell you of the battle of Long bridge, and how the night was as day from the fires all around. Or maybe the charge of Sir Breval's Rose Brigade. Not that the lion blades actually ask me about such these days."

Most specifically we are looking for true information about the Shinning Crusade and any artifacts that would be particularly useful against demons.
The most pervasive current event is known as the World Wound. Something has caused a rift in reality. Through it demons pour into our world slaughter all. We seek to push them back and close the rift.
I'm not real up on the lore of Golarion. I will skim over some other real world events unrelated to our mission. But I will keep it short since we are under time pressure.

Grimbli nods emphatically at Malaika's assessment of the situation. "These days, Taldor is filled with noble families that rest on their laurels, bickering at each other. The common folk have nobody up to whom they can look. If we were to be able to find something to help with the whole World Wound situation here, in Taldor, I'm sure it would help to unite the nobility and help them to focus on those things that really matter. I don't suppose you have any knowledge of something that might help?"

First hand, I have seen that the slave trade has gotten more vile. Yet conversely because of that, it has also become less tolerated. More are recognizing it as something that should be eliminated. Recently I was part of an operation against some of the worst offenders.I moved those of you that talked to the statue down beside it.

"Very good! Very good."
He opens his mouth, and sitting on his tongue is a key.
"I want it back, mine you. Oh I do wish I could come with you. I'd like to see the wide world with my own eyes."
The lion head looks sad for a moment.
"If you ever find a way to get me off the wall, you would come back and free me, wouldn't you? I think I'd look rather grand with you lot."

The Guardian looks pretty happy, well, for a stone lion.
Opening the door, Kath looks through.
This long stone hallway terminates in an ascending spiral
staircase to the north. Doors line the hall on the east and west.

The more public library is above, so presumably it would lead up to that, maybe to another secret door - maybe to the chambers of whoever normally uses this rather extensive library.
