Urien moves up and fires an arrow through the doorway at the remaining combatant. He maintains the bardic performance, adding a bit of dramatic flair about unseen blades for Li Feng. I think this is the third round.

ranged attack with cover, point-blank, and precise: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 2 + 1 - 4 = 14
composite shortbow damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 5

Urien fires at the man, striking true, and the man falls. I don't think that there should be any cover from where you are firing, so counted it as a hit.

I begin reading the Razmiri religious packet

Knowledge History on Razmir's influence in the region: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Mostly talks about how Ramzir is the one true god, how to worship him, and the 31 steps to enlightenment. It is truly a pamphlet for Razmir for converting people to the faith.

As for this region, the worship of Razmir is actually illegal, even though this is a recent development and many churches already existed in this nation when the law came into effect.

He seems terrified but is still holding his tongue under pressure.

He timidly says, You Pathfinders were the last barrier to Razmir's dominance here. He kind of hangs that in the air, and doesn't really seem to have any follow up to prove his point.

You killed my superior! Please don't kill me! He seems to be a fanatical, devout follower of Razmir but doesn't seem to know very much about what actually goes on in the church.

@Skredli They do not smell of much of anything, really. Maybe slight lack of bath, but in this world it's not all that uncommon.

I... I can't tell you that! Things far worse than death would befall me if I betray Razmir! He seems to be shaking in his boots. Being turned in even seems to be a better fate than that!

Urien gives a strained, but winning smile.

Indeed, we were attacked by these cowardly Razmiri. The one filling two different bags over there was the first to attack. We are uncertain why they attacked us, only that the survivor here seemed like he would rather be turned in as an illegal cultist of Razmir and attempted murderer than tell us why they attacked us.

Likely an additional +1 for guidance, but didn't want to delay game play for the posts to ask.

Very well! Thank you good citizens or visitors, we shall handle it from here. Razmir has recently become illegal here and we are still tracking down some of the followers, but the ones around here are particularly tough to interrogate. We will investigate the body and then bury him or something, and jail the other one. They take the two men.

Oriaih and Reginar are there to greet you, and say that your rooms have been made up while you were gone. They have a dinner that they can quickly prepare as well.

However, you also have a guest back at the lodge. It's Gauril Karela!

“I finished my task faster than I thought, and I hope you uncovered some information, my friends,” says Guaril as he applies a dab of wax to his moustache, “For my investigation was only partially successful. My sources tell me that the filthy weasels stealing my cargo are hiding in an abandoned fort. Which fort, they could not say. I would have learned more, but some men... they cannot tolerate pain, eh? Sadly for us, the Nirmathi abandoned many forts after the last Molthuni invasion. These four are our best bets.”

He places a map on the table - Click for link.

Up to you guys to use clues from your own investigation to figure it out! You can also take a night's rest before heading out to the location you choose.

Fort Ursoss seems to be the greatest convergence of likelihood ...

Urien pauses to try to remember what he may have known about the area to make sure all four forts are abandoned and to see if he can recall any specific details on any of them that might prove useful for figuring out which may be more likely.

Urien, you can just confirm the information that the map provides.

Fort Faelon is in marsh near the lake.
Fort Machema is near the lake in drier land.
Fort Drejas is near the bed of the river in drier land.
Fort Ursoss is close to the river in marsh.

I'd recommend that we get some sleep tonight and set out first thing tomorrow. I'd rather not require that we need light in the dark when trying to sneak up on someone.
Perhaps we can even hire a skiff of some sort so that we can go by water.
... of course, this assumes that they won't try to attack us tonight now that we've taken out their Razmiri stooges... some day I simply MUST invest in some bear traps...

Why would we need light at night? It looks the same as day to me... Zuri asks with a confused look.

Seems the consensus is Fort Ursoss.

Gauril trusts your assessment and says he will travel with you to the location.

You rest for the night. You can go ahead and do re-preparations, make last minute purchases, etc. In the morning, you are greeted by Reginar and Oriaih with complimentary breakfast. It's quite delicious and traditional: Biscuits and butters, bacon, and eggs; it's quite good. They both wave you farewell as Gauril leads you to the harbor.

You take a small boat along the river, with Gauril at the helm (he's quite proficient at it). You eventually reach a marshy shore, and Gauril ties the boat off.

"Many of these old forts possess hidden escape routes," Gauril says. "I suggest we search around for one first."

After a little searching, you all find a stone trapdoor in the ground. "Ah, this will do."

You head down the passageway, and eventually come to an iron gate. There is seemingly no way to open it, however (There isn't even a lock on it), and Gauril says "I will wait here and stand guard in case anything comes out of here. You should go to the fort proper and search the whole place, then come back here when you are finished. Or perhaps you may even find the way to let me in while you are in there." He leans against the wall, takes out a dagger, and starts picking his nails with it.

Giving a small break to allow some conversation here.

Scorch marks mar the stones of this dilapidated keep. Vegetation hangs loosely from holes in the partially collapsed ceiling, and the floor is sunken and cracked in several places. A charred wooden door lies on the ground in front of an archway leading west. To the north, a stone trap door (a different one than before) peeks out from behind a pile of rubble.

As you approach the fort, ghostly apparitions appear inside the ruins. There are two elven ghosts (one male, one female) that float around the ruins that look like warriors of the Shining Crusade.
