"We wish to push spirits at rest, though I am not terribly sure you are even ghosts. Your Shining Crusade looks more like the Silver Crusade. Is that makeup?"
[dice=Perception]1d20+1
Skredli has been staring at the floating apparitions and then looks at Sister Morgan. So I should start breaking things?
Sister Morgan

"No Skredli, these ghosts are quite scary. Let me cast the spell I used to teleport us away from that meeting last night"
bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

The ghost man green looks at Sister Morgan with scrutiny and says, If a fight is what you wi-i-i-ish then we shall give it to you.

@Sister Morgan I am counting your action as a surprise round, so you can finish your casting in regular rounds as a standard, or I'll just give you the option to forgo your casting in the surprise round if you wish. Unfortunately for you, they do have Spellcraft and one rolled quite high. :p
Skredli Oxbreaker
|
Oh, how high are the walls?
Yeah, sure...that one...I'll wait for you to finish. Monkey, go right
Delay
Skredli has no idea what she is referring to, but waits...and points to the left when telling Lei to go right.

Urien begins to sing a Galtan song about the importance of indecision and flexibility in life choices if one hopes to retain one's head, while hoping that Sister Morgan has a better idea about the opponents they are facing than he does.
Standard to begin bardic performance: inspire courage. Move action to draw bow / nock arrow.
| GM Andrew |
Everyone can make a Will Save with a +4 bonus from Sister Morgan shouting out. If you make it, you can open the spoiler below.
@Skredli: Let's say 5 ft., so difficult terrain for a large creature. ;)
| GM Andrew |
Urien starts singing a confusing but oddly inspiring song about life choices.

Not liking the look of the scroll and wishing he had Spellcraft so he could have a better idea of how bad the spell is likely to be, Urien moves closer and fires his bow at the ghostly-but-totally-not-an-elf opponent.
As he does so, he continues to inspire - looking pointedly at the bloody ghost as he continues his Galtan song
...
they say poor choices make the best of stories
those who live boldly are most covered in glories
but fellow Galts, poor life choices have consequences
and against Final Blades there are noooo defenses
...
attack roll with inspire and bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 20
shortbow damage with inspire: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4
Free action - continue to 2nd round of inspire, move action - move 30, standard action - fire composite shortbow at enemy

Li Feng moves up some more, stealthily.

Urien keeps singing and shoots at the lady, trying to interrupt her spellcasting.
Concentration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
She loses her spell!

Drat!
She casts a spell at Skredli. No visible effect.

Zuri calmly walks forward. With a wicked grin on his face, he begins to mutter in a cursed tongue.
Lets see what is in her head! 1
Oh I want to go too 2
This could be fun 3
Well someone has to stay in the meat bag with...it! 1
Sounds like you volunteer 2
Hahaha 3
With that Zuri's head is two voices fewer. The two quickest voices rush off towards the female elf's mind, searching for a way in.
gift of madness use 1. need a DC 14 Will save. If she fails voices 1 and 2 get into her mind and get up to trouble for 1 round of confusion

Read magic auto-gets the scrolls. Gonna give Potion #2 to ya since it's the same as 1.
- Potion 1 - Cure Light Wounds
- Potion 2 - Cure Light Wounds
- Wand 1 - Unidentified
- Wand 2 - Wand of Magic Missile (10 charges)
- Scroll 1 - Mage Armor
- Scroll 2 - Mage Armor
- Scroll 3 - Summon Monster II
Still not identified: Wand 1

I walk up and take a cursory glance to note no ability to heal. I then attempt to ID the other wand while having obvious signs of sadness and anger at their pointless stand.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
I am at a +7 but either way I have more to do, you take it.
I attempt to use a scroll of Mage Armor as I haven't cast it yet.
UMD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Liam, step away
Seeing an inability to operate the first scroll she moves to the second
UMD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
UMD: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
I glitter.
Skredli, lead us on. I will follow you into the darkness and stop the oppression of this false idol!
| GM Andrew |
You head down the staircase. You find yourself in a small room. There is what looks to be a collapsed portion to the west, and there is an in-tact archway to the south. From where you are, you can see that the next room to the south has also partially collapsed.
Unless otherwise noted, these areas are well lit and the floors and walls are dirt.
Zuri “The Mad Prophet”

not sure what hte roll is for umd a scroll
umd: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 +1 if i can guidance before hand to use the other scroll of mage armor, if no one has an issue with me using it.
also, was the other wand identified?
_Urien

As the bodies are looted, Urien looks thoughtful.
I wonder what the mirrors were for - signalling ... seeing around corners... maybe adjusting their makeup for their disguises, I guess...
He glances around idly while waiting for Skredli to reduce back to normal size, making sure that there's nothing in sight-line that may be trying to signal the now-deceased elves.
lol @ step away, but why did you UMD a scroll of a 1st level spell that's on your spell list? :D
go for it on the mage armor scroll. I'm going to snag a mirror, 2 alchemist fire, and one of the potions of clw if no one objects. Urien has no source of healing yet, himself. Would recommend the witch & oracle snag the two spell component pouches as back-ups in case there's something here that tries to sunder or steal components of casters.
----------------------------------------------------
Once they have descended, Urien looks over at Skredli and asks quietly
Do your tracking skills indicate anything of interest down here that perhaps we should be aware of before going further?
Zuri “The Mad Prophet”
|
Zuri opens the second scroll of mage armor. After a minute of muttering to himself while turning the scroll this way and that, he starts yelling at the scroll.
SLDKadf *glup**buzz** By the power of *glupping sounds* work damn it!
The scroll burns within his hands an a faint shimmer surrounds him. He looks up at the group and grins.
Can this happen before we go down the stairs? missed my window of posting before we went down
Zuri “The Mad Prophet”
|
Zuri also picks up an extra spell component pouch before handing down the stairs. He straps his long spear to his back somehow, leaving one hand free and the other holding the magic missile wand.
Sister Morgan
|
For simplicity sake we are at a take 10 perception of a 17 and 19 for traps and an 11 for stealth. If there is nothing interesting we can assume we keep moving?
Skredli Oxbreaker
|
Skredli assumes there should be foot traffic to the door across the way and heads that way, sword out.
One door, one way to go. I hope they are expecting us. I'd hate to not get a good fight from them.
_Urien
|
This looks like the sort of place where swarms might attack, Urien muses to himself checking to make sure that the alchemist' fire he just retrieved is available.
Urien begins to follow Skredli, continuing his internal monologue.
Hmmmm... the jinx may also set off a trap, what's the average blast radius of a trap... 10 feet?
knowledge: engineering with no real gm input required: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
probably best to stay back 15 then...
Urien pauses briefly, then begins to follow Skredli at a slight distance.
:D
Indeed. Lead on.
