Even counting the barroom fight, two weeks to complete a scenario is amazing. Now factor in 8 days for the scenario proper. We are pretty good at this.

As much as I love this - I will be tied up for the holiday weekend (next weekend) in the US. Can we start after?
| GM Damo |
@Finarin: Fine with me, though I'd rather keep some kind of action going just so that we all stay in the groove. Maybe another bar-fight, this time with Lort on your side. Up to Gunari, really (assuming he runs the next one).

Hello everyone! I just wanted to finally pop in now that you are done and say what am amazing job you all did with this! I've been lurking, reading since you started playing this scenario and have been amazed at every turn! GM Damo has taken my work and breathed life into it in the most fantastic of ways! Your group of characters seem like a lot of fun and very capable Pathfinders!
Your taking of the ship was inspired! You pretty much fought all three encounters at once and managed to take Captain Wardak's quarters interacted! Well done! It looks like you all had a great time playing this, and I certainly hope that was the case. This was my first PFS scenario credit. So far it seems to be being well received, but of course I am very nervous about it. It's somewhat atypical for PFS scenarios, involves a lot of NPCs and the big reveal can very easily be lost on players who have only been playing for the past few seasons. A lot could have gone wrong with this :)
Thank you for a vision of what Slave Ships of Absalom should be!

I can do the next one... We aren't ready for Paths We Choose, but have you all done Gods Market Gamble?
Or Murder of the Throaty Mermaid?
Thinking these would both be a blast with this group! Plus, I have run them both IRL, which will make it a little easier for me to figure out the Google draw and all.
GM Damo, you've given me a bunch of good ideas I am going to try!

As I have some time this weekend, I'll also look into a module. I could, for sure, do The Accursed Halls (level one of Thornkeep)

Do we even need to say that we are going to Role play every day until we start a new scenario? If my other scenario ever finishes you will get to meet Finarin's older brother. My other PC will get a complete overhaul. In the meantime, I need to explore some options for Finarin.
@ Mark Garringer Honestly, I really liked this scenario. Lots of good role playing and the last fight was epic.
@ GM As always - you are the MAN!
@ Gunari Finarin can play anything.

Mark,
Wow, thanks for popping in to say hi! I won't speak for everyone (yes I will) but this scenario was a lot of fun. I will admit when I read the part about the former faction leader being behind everything (seemingly) I did a double take, so that was awesome! I really enjoyed the different interactions, and of course our illustrious GM did a great job. I still can't believe we finished in 8 days... but thats what you get when you have a bunch of motivated people who just want to see what happens next.
I was just telling Ibid the other day that this is like reading a really good book. Every time you say "one more page, I need to go to bed" you end up reading 3 more chapters because you can't put it down. This adventure (and group and GM) is just like that. I refresh the thread way more than I should because I want to see what is happening.
Can't wait for the next one!!

If you are inclined to add a review to the product page, I would be grateful! It's kind of a no-brainer* at this point that it's the top selling Season 6 scenario, but I'm very curious to see how it shakes out over the entire season! The hook of all this being a setup for another Season 6 scenario is just too delicious.
The Holmes/Moriarty flavor of Ibid's post is almost too much for me to deal with :) AMAZING!
It's the first post-GenCon level 1-5 released, and it has direct ties to 2 of the largest factions in PFS, and it also has a nice no-robot counter balance for people who are meh or anti- that theme for the season. All these factors mean it should sell reasonable well regardless. That people actually seem to be enjoying the stuffing out of it is what really makes me happy though!
@Finarian: Epic indeed! I am so glad that I was able to put more open ended solutions into the encounters to allow the players the freedom to try and do interesting things!
@Cyrus: I was reloading a lot myself wanting to keep up on the action!

@Mark, very cool that you enjoyed watching our madness! This is an amazing group of PbP'ers, and it was an fun scenario. I loved how we could RP our way through things instead of just going all murder-hobo on everything. Gotta give credit to GM Damo as well, for rolling with everything we came up with!
Like all of my favorite scenarios, it had a balance of talking, thinking, and fighting. It is very cool that there are tie ins from the earliest scenarios to the newest! Anxiously waiting to see what coolness comes in with the chronicle!
Thanks to Mark for writing this one, GM Damo for another well run scenario, and all the players for making this FUN! Makes me really want to run one for you all!

Thanks again to all. Mark, great to have you watching in. For the others, Mark had been PMing me from almost the beginning. I'd be lying if I said it didn't affect the way I ran it - I was really dotting the i's and crossing the t's with respect to keeping within the flavor of the scenario as it was laid out. That experience has made me a better PFS GM - just as Painlord and Doomed Hero continue to make me a better PbP GM (through their continued tips and comments - and also through the guides they have up on their profiles).
@Mark: This is a top seller because it's awesome. Trial by Machine, by contrast, was a rushed pile of poo - albeit with some cool tech and ideas thrown in. It was a top seller because it was the only 1-5 scenario full stop for Season 6.
Can't wait to run the next one for you... but glad to have a hiatus with Gunari at the helm.
As for what next... after reading the blurbs, my preference is for the Gods Market Gamble. Partly because the Throaty Mermaid is season 2 (and I prefer later seasons), and partly because Throaty Mermaid involves a smuggler's ship - and we just did that. ;-) Gods Market also got marginally better reviews.
Getting ink for my printer tomorrow... sorry for the delayed chronicle sheets. In all honesty, I went to print them off over a week ago (when you made day job rolls) - so I've been procrastinating about getting more ink for a while now. Tomorrow. For sure.

It was definitely a well-written scenario that had a little something for everyone. We surely enjoyed, Mark! :)
Gods Market Gamble is fine with me. I'm not very picky.

I'm good with whatever scenario, I don't know enough about them to give an opinion. I do know I am going to have to work even harder to find a way to make things awkward...

On Throaty Mermaid, it is an amazing scenario, that would be great with this group. Packed full of role playing, as well as the mystery. One of the best, in my opinion (I should really start writing reviews)
While some of the older scenarios leave something to be desired, this one is really good. Maybe later?

I'd like to start a collection to move Amaranti & family to the CDT timezone ... passes hat around.
Heh, a while back I did contact my company's HR and inquire about the possibilities for internal transfers. Well, I did have motives beyond just being able to post during CDT daytime, but anyway ;)

I've done God market's gamble, so I'll be skipping that. But let me know if you are running Throaty mermaid, I have heard a lot of good about it.
@Mark: Thanks for an excellent scenario, I hope we'll be seeing more of your work soon! Just one question: was the resemblance to Slave Pits of A intentional?

@Mark: you are too kind! It's an honor to have had an audience as we went through your scenario. It was an amazing time (GM did an awesome job, players were great, and the scenario was well written and fun). I'll gladly through up a glowing review!
I very much enjoyed the discovery as the scenario progressed of how deep the scrying treachery and the hint at the end of a great villain, and like I said above, it was an honor to have the actual writer as an audience (and I didn't even know it!). I'm happy you picked up on the Holmes/ Moriarty vibe in the last post!

I would prefer it on the basis of keeping amaranti with us

@Amaranti - it was definitely supposed to be a 'spiritual sequel' to Slave Pits. I don't believe the play experience of the two is similar at all, and playing them back to back actually probably wouldn't be that great. Playing them a few scenarios apart, however, makes for a much nicer callback and continuity. Sort of like playing all the Blackros stuff in a row wouldn't really be ideal, but one every level keeps it fresh. The most 'direct' callback I put in there was calling Madhi's shop 'Absalom's Finest!', which is a joke on the name of Pildapush's Chattel - Absalom's Finest! from Slave Pits.
@Ibid - I'm a big Holmes fan, so that was amazing on your part! I've been trying to think up a 'play through' list of scenarios that would allow someone 'new' to PFS to be able to get the most out of this reveal at the end with room to play the foreshadowed confrontation with the Pasha. That could be a lot of fun! I am also grateful for any reviews, questions or comments about the work and happy to be part of this community :)

Alright, going to close this down pretty soon. First up, though, just pointing everyone to Silbeg's (Gunari's) PbP... the link changed because the name changed. It will change again, but if you dot in on the gameplay thread, it will appear in your campaigns on your profile and you won't need to worry about it again. :-)
So, dot in!

Aww, thanks guys! :) Nice to keep the group together!

Closing down the campaign. Ibid, if you read this buddy, sorry you didn't get a chance to do your epilogue on this thread. I think you can still post, but if not I can make it active again for one last post on the gameplay thread. You could, of course, always just pop it on Gunari's gameplay thread when you get a chance. I'm sure he won't mind.
