I JUST finished GMing an anti-slavery mission (GM Chadius is in it). If I run it again I'll let you know. I'm also going to run the sequel at some point which is also anti-slavery, but that's a 3-7 game.

Ah, hey GM Bauers! Now the tables have turned, mwahaha!
Had a lot of fun with Slave Ships of Absalom. Acel really wanted that Trollhound as a pet :)
Seagang Expedition is pretty fun, although one of my characters is getting clobbered right now. Turns out a Ranger and a Hunter can skip many conflicts.

Yeah, I used a hunter. It was cool, though. Different opportunities for people to shine.
Hey, I would've given you style points if you would've ridden the trollhound like a bucking bronco!

One thing that keeps going through my mind is whether this is a Murder on the Orient Expresss. (Meaning each of the crew took one stab, and is covering for the others.) The meta-meta supposition, though, is that would be too complicated for first-level characters....
Gah, the incompetence of this crew!
They've even managed to get a hole in the hull without hitting a rock, reef, ship, or any other obstruction.

btw - i seem to have lost my stat line - anybody had that happen to them before/ know how to fix it?
Try putting the stats in the class/levels line.

so do we wanna have a bet on who the killer is?
i don't think i'd clocked that there were still so many suspects
Ulamon
A = Anera - out
T = Therazil - out
K = Killik - out (probably)
S = Shira - out
V = Velagon
Captain Veane
A = Azuretta
i can't even remember who ullamon and velagon were - random hands?
also i think I've been confusing anera and azuretta.
soo, who's left azuretta, veane or the thing in the pit. azuretta feels a bit obvious. i wonder if it was the captain in some weird plot twist schenangins...
anyone else any ideas?

I'm not sure I'm really convinced anyone is "out of the running" yet, but maybe that's because I'm more skeptical than the adventure intends its players to be.

I am going to have very limited internet access this weekend, so please feel free to bot me for the next few days. Should be back to normal on Monday.

I am so sorry I haven't been able to participate very much these last few weeks!
Real life is somewhat kicking my ass and I'm trying to make things work.
Let's hope I can get things set up with my life so this works out for us.
Again, sorry for not being around!
Rolando Pascal

Yep, I hope everything works out for you Febida!
Wilm, I'd use Saving Finale but I don't think I can. I need my song up and I think you had to make your save on her turn, not yours. But you're not dominated, so you're still friends with us, too.

That is rotten luck, Wilm. A natural 1 on an important throw! Argh!
On the bright side, this is a great time to really have some fun with the character. Being charmed sucks, but allows for some great role-play.
@Febida: As Chadius says, take care of RL first. We've got this. (Fingers crossed.)

Wilm, Sahba, and Febida--it looks like this game is almost wrapped up, so I created the thread for the Segang Expedition.
Please check in to the discussion thread here.

I'm a bit disappointed we didn't make it down to the lower hold. I assume there was something interesting down there, given the damage and hints of smuggling? Still, I think it was wise to move to the finale (although I would have liked enough information to pin it on someone explicitly before being attacked, I think moving things along was the right choice).
Like Wilm, the storm scene needed an objective other than suffering through the storm (with no crew around?!). If they really needed help below decks for a leak, move us there, and keep two crew topside to steer? This is probably the fault of the scenario, though.
Very fun! Thanks for moving at a good pace.

This module is modeled after Murder on the Orient Express, with the catch that there are several potential murderers. Based on the PC factions, I can choose the one who isn't needed for an objective. Killik, unsurprisingly, is the most likely murderer (but not this time, he's just a jerk this time!)
The cargo hold has a pair of mated Rust Monsters, who eat the murder weapon when Velagon is asleep. As an optional encounter, one or both may escape and you'd have to fight them - Velagon would be unwilling to talk at that point.
The storm was an interesting idea, but you're right, it did need a goal or a way to stop it. If the ship were sailing towards something. Hmm. I'll figure out some way to spice it up in my CORE run.
The fact that there are no crew men whenever a fight breaks out is indeed weird. I added the leak to at least explain why they crew wasn't here for the finale. When you fought Shira, I gave Thanzeril 2 rounds to get his weapon and open the door.
Oh well, thanks for putting up with my first PbP GM experience. I'll have chronicles and the conclusion ready tomorrow.

Wow, this was your first PBP GMing? I'm thoroughly impressed! You took an older scenario with some weird stuff in it and gave all of the characters a chance to shine. I had a lot of fun!
As to anything else we'd want to do before the conclusion, Rolando would probably want to go with Thanzeril to help deliver the body, if possible.

I agree - Nice job on your first go! I had no idea (or at least had forgotten).
Are you currently running the core game? If not, I have a Core pirate that would love to play! A little more like Capt. Jack than Qillian, but also likes to disarm rather than skewer.
Nicely done, and thanks for the game!

If there's anything Kelsier can do for his faction card he probably would, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head and keep forgetting to look when I have it handy.

yep, likewise all good. I too would have liked to had more of a sense of the murderer before we went to the finale.
I also feel like i should have gone more 'rogue' and just attacked the party, counter intuititve i know, but it would have made the final fight harder - especially if i'd played to kill... ce la vie.
i'm just about to retrain and dump Grand lodge as my faction, so presumably there's no point worrying about faction goals? going to go over to sovereign court - long live the revolution!

Thanks GM! Looks good. Would you also say that Qillian has successfully "Recruit a named NPC merchant, trader, smuggler, or similar figure to cooperate with the Exchange. Doing so requires a successful Diplomacy or Profession (merchant) check with a DC equal to 15 plus your character level." For the Exchange faction card....

That definitely counts, Qillian. Is there a card I need to sign, or otherwise update on the chronicle sheet?
Also, anyone else fulfilling their faction card needs?

GMs aren't required to note anything, that's true, but they can and some players ask them too. I assume some GMs offer to for the same reason some players ask.

for some reason i'm only getting the chronicle sheet super small. and when i zoom in it pixalates badly?? can you resend bigger/tell me what im doing wrong...
Hi Wilm.
If you click on the link, it should take you to 6 chronicle sheets.
Click on the Wilm Tsalion sheet.
In the upper right corner, you can click on the magnifying glass to zoom-in, or you can click on the download button (down pointing arrow) to download the picture directly.
If that doesn't work, I'll pm you a direct link to the chronicle.
