Hi guys!
Calanthe is currently in an adventure, as well as my main backup (a Druid) leaving me with the following characters to pick from:
- Human Paladin 3 (although I'd prefer not to play down - so she's probably out of the question)
- Aasimar Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1
- Halfling Gunslinger (Musket Master) 1
... depending on what the party needs. :)

How was Glass River Mez? If I can play on Monday, that's what my group's running.
I don't know who to bring to the party. I've got an array of free characters, but really it comes down to three.
Dietrich - Human Fighter 1/Rogue 1 - Norine met him as a fill-in GM
Guilford - Human Wizard 2
and of course Tod, now a level 2 bard! - after looking at that Arcane Duelist archetype, Alice, it looks pretty good. I first envisioned Tod as the dashing rapier-wielding type. I need to decide for sure before playing him for credit again, I suppose.

I feel like my bard would be the best fit character-wise for this adventure, so I might run with her.
I need to figure out a name for her now though, bugger it all. She's currently a blob of GM credit and stats on HeroLab. :P
Just warning you in advance that's she's ridiculously over the top gregarious and a huge flirt with pretty much everyone :)
Derek, the Arcane Duelist is really fun! The loss of skill versatility is a bit of a bummer, but you can really go ham with a buff focused combat bard. I like the music that gives you weapon enchantments too--handy for those combats with a really weird DR for example.

I guess I'm still trying to figure out how Tod should progress. Like I said, I envision him as the dashing rapier-man. I don't know if there's a great way to build that for PFS play.
I could go the Arcane Duelist route, which looks very tempting.
Does Arcane Strike stack with other magical weapon enhancements?
Can I pull this build off being finesse-based? I could see bumping STR to 12 or maybe 14, but I envision him as more of a DEX based guy, but not primarily an archer.
Another option would be to go fighter for 6 levels (or bard for 8) and then Duelist. Are Prestige classes even allowed in PFS?
If you guys have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Derek,
Yes it stacks with weapon enhancements. It's untyped damage.
Yes you can pull it off being Dex based, although you'll never do as much damage as a Strength guy. (You'll make up for it with your huge AC! All the bonuses you can give to the party from being a Bard make it much more appealing too.) Look into the "Agile" weapon quality, it gives you your Dex to damage with that weapon. My plan was to have an Agile, Keen Rapier eventually.
Prestige Classes are allowed (assuming they're on the Additional Resources list) :) Duelist is certainly an option too! I wouldn't recommend it for a Bard (no casting progression is kinda sucky) but for a Dex Fighter? Sure! Shadowdancer might be an option too.

So many choices! Head exploding! Things were so much easier back when I had 1 character that was built to shoot arrows into things.
So far we'd have:
Inquisitor
Barbarian
Bard
Sorceror
Cleric
The only area of potential weakness is ranged combat. I can have Tod take the right feats to be useful with his bow, which is what some class guides suggest for optimizing a bard.
I even thought of building a gunslinger - would that be too weird thematically for you guys? I know some folks don't like them, and I wouldn't want to irritate everybody.

Ok, so I have decided! I'm going to play as Dietrich. He's the guy I played this game with before. Due to timing issues, i used him essentially as a pregen in a table game while I waited for the PBP to wrap up (we had finished the fighting). Then I applied all his chronicles after he was out of games entirely. Anway, now he's level 2, and I just need to update his gear.
