Here's Zhatara. A somehow haughty mesmerist of unknown descent. She's got impressive diplomacy and/or intimidation skills, but she's an even better liar. Her magic maker her capable of forcing opponents to do her bidding but she can also boost the party tanks via her tricks.

This is Obo. Truddig, you are down on the spreadsheet as a level 5 Ranger but the profile shows level 3 which could affect our subtier or whether we have the 4 player adjust or not depending on what everyone else is.

This is Aryxis who's particularly handy in Diplomacy & UMD.
Has a bunch of spells but generally likes just wacking things with his large magic sword (which he likes to make as dangerous as possible)

Jarat is not very good at talking to his fleshling counterparts. Between Jarat and his animal companion, they do a fair job of hitting things until they stop moving. Animal companion is a wolf, who likes to bite and trip. Pack tactics flanking build, eventually moving in to mounted combat capabilities but that's not relevant until level 7.

I'm currently without a reliable connection to the internet and can't really keep up with the game. Bot me as needed please. Everything should return to normal in a couple of days most.
In the meantime bear with me, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Maps are up. Everyone please past what character image you want to use on the first map. I also have a sheet up with everyone’s initiative and perception on it. Please update it at you convenience. Don’t worry about the saves on there.
If everyone could put a spot on the bottom of the Init sheet as to what faction you belong to that would be great. I could look myself, but if I have a list then it makes it a little easier to make sure everyone gets everything out of the scenario. Plus, it helps me to to miss anything faction related. Thanks and sorry for the long delay.

I'm not able to update the sheet from my phone for some reason. Laiashi has an initiative of +6, a Perception of +5 (+1 to avoid being surprised), and is a member of The Exchange faction.

Truddig's rebuild is now online. It took longer than promised; sorry for the delay. I've updated his stats on the Init, Perc sheet.

Updated the sheet with Aryxis' Init, Perc, Saves & Faction.

Hey team,
Im heading overseas on holiday for 2 weeks this weekend so my posting maybe be spotty particularly this weekend while I get myself established. I should still be able to manage a post every day from Monday onwards.
Bot me as necessary.
Thanks.

![]() |

I am away from tomorrow until Thursday next week. I will do my best to post as I can.

![]() |

I’m good. This character is not signed up for game day.

![]() |

This is unfortunate timing with the revival of the forums, but I am heading into the woods for the weekend to go float down a river. I won't be back until Sun PM, so expect regular posting from me to resume again on Monday.

Indeed, get it while we can.

Hey, with all the site outages, I've kind of lost track of what we're doing in this game. I know we're investigating the kidnapping, but I'm lost from there. @GM, or anyone really, can someone summarize what our goal is, what clues we have already, and what we're currently pursuing (i.e. why are we at the alchemist)?
Thanks!

![]() |

Yea I had to look back through the previous posts to remember.
As I understand it, we're currently tracking down who hired the kidnapper. All we have to go on is that he's a brown-haired Taldan man, likely an alchemist, who looked at his hand a lot as though instructions were written on it. The name of the alchemist's shop were in came from the girl we rescued.

Bump. Did we lose our GM? PM sent.
The rules for adopting an orphaned game define that there be 7 days of inactivity in both Gameplay and Discussion for a game to be classified as orphaned. This game qualifies, and our GM's latest post was after the major downtime period, so I don't think the site outages are a factor in this.
Can we get a rolecall to see if all of the players are still present while we wait for a response to my PM? If I don't hear back in 24 hours (10 AM Fri, Eastern US time), I'll post in Flaxseed for a replacement GM.
Edit: crossposted. Welcome back Deekan!

Everyone act and then I will update.
Can we use the Rule of Two in this game so that we don't have to wait so long between updates?
The general principle is that--since PbP games are played asynchronously (everyone playing on their own schedule, not all sitting down at the same time)--PbP games can take too long if we always wait for everyone to post their action. The Rule of Two is a principle where if two players post in agreement on a course of action, the GM moves the action along as if all 6 players posted in agreement.
I've also seen this done as a Rule of Three, which is also fine. Obviously, this is an out-of-combat strategy for posts. When we're in initiative everyone still needs to post their action or get botted if they are unexpectedly absent.
But it seems that we are getting bogged down in more waiting for posts than actual playing. Keeping the action going when we're out of combat will be a big help.
Thoughts?

I would entirely agree.

I've PMed GM Deekan again, to see if we can't get this game going again. It's been more than 7 days since last contact, so if I receive no response, I'll post in Flaxseed for a replacement GM.
