Going to list two options depending on if the first opponent drops. 15 possible damage is enough to drop MOST L1 foes.
Kennald steps 5' towards
IF the target drops between Ciro and Dagki's efforts
Kennald leans his spear up against the nearby wall and begins using a dagger Pathfinder kit, move to draw, standard to start cutting cords. to cut as many of the kids free as possible before anyone else enters the room.
If he does NOT drop, readied action to throw myself into whatever the cup contains. Would be able to use held longspear to make AoO with reach if anyone comes up from the south.

GM Hills |

The man starts to wave and cast...and thanks to the closeness of the bard to Ciro, his arrow flies true and drops the caster, leaving the kids to run thanks to Kennald and ending the threat to the next generation of Pathfinders.
I didn't give you cover, only shooting into melee, and as such you hit with PBS. Always be mindful of cover with an archer, as it is hard NOT to shoot through cover
Where to now?
The kids rush off to their rooms and come back to give the Pathfinders supplies to help them because they are so clearly impressed by the entire situation and how quickly and easily it was handled.
This is a supply point, which matters for the overall event victory. Good job!

Dagki pockets some off the man's items and moves inside the hallway the man came from.
"ANYBODY HOME?!"
If anyone wants to take anything please do. Since we will loose all items after the scenario I would like to play the loot hoarding barbarian ;P

Chain shirt, not mail, but go for it! I also suggest that Sago, Dagki and/or Bjarke take the CLW pots. No opinion on the invis pot.
Kennald waits for someone from the southern rooms to come investigate the ruckus.
If a nonstudent approaches from the south, AoO, otherwise, he'll slowly follow the group north, if that the way we go next

Ciro Aldrich |

Alrighty then, i'll take that then as my share. also agreed, melee peopl should get the CLW potions might be needed.
Ciro peels off his studded leather armor and takes the Chain shirt putting it on. He puts the studded leather away .
Ah their we go, that's a bit better

![]() |

NW or Center? I'm guessing that Center is not available yet based on our earlier options? NW is difficult terrain, are there additional things here in NE? Can we check in on VC Valsin from earlier in NE? I'm in favor of double checking NE for more activity, then heading NW.

![]() |

Bjarke claims a potion of cure light wounds, and puts everything no one else claims inside his backpack. "You no take now and change mind later, you take later. Just tell me, yes?"
I second Kennald's suggestion. Double check NE for more activity, then head NW.

![]() |

Dagki looks at Bjarke with a stern look.
"We brothers we share!"
He heads outside and follows the others.

GM Hills |

As the group comes out, Ambris comes running up.
"Great job, Young Pathfinders!" He looks at all the students who have survived. "Great job, indeed! That said, keep that drive and keep clearing out problems!"
As the group moves about, they come across a nice crossroads and huge bugs from the menagerie burst out of the ground.
Sago: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Kennald: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Ciro: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Bjarke: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Dagki: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
1d20 ⇒ 10
Bjarke is up

Bjarke moves up to the nearest bug and swings his axe at it. "HYAAAA!!"
Battleaxe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

GM Hills |

The bug falls at Bjarke's feet, which leaves him wide opened for the rest of the bugs.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Miss
1d4 ⇒ 1
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15 Miss
1d4 ⇒ 1
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Crit?
1d4 ⇒ 1
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 Nope :(
1d4 ⇒ 3
1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 1 + 2 = 22 Hit!
1d4 ⇒ 4
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
1d4 ⇒ 4
The bugs swarm all over the barbarian and two of them manage to cut him for vicious little wounds, thankfully his defenses are enough to keep one from cutting his Achilles tendon...instead leaving him with a gash on his calf. Take 5 total
EVERYONE IS UP!
Also, don't forget your aid token!

Dagki moves back a few steps and grabs a throwing axe. He takes a run up and throws it at the blue bug.
Throwing range increased by 10 feet. Movement 10 feet back and forth in 1 move action and standard to throw the axe.
Atk roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Dmg roll: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Battleaxe, main hand: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 2 = 7 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Heavy Steel Spiked Shield, off hand: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 2 = 6 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Bjarke wildly swings his axe and shield at the pink bug, but misses horribly with both.
Improved Shield Bash: my shield bonus stays when I attack with my shield.

GM Hills |

The creatures are all within range to attack, so they stand and do so. Pink, having missed previously decides to try a nibble of Sago instead.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
1d4 ⇒ 2
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
1d4 ⇒ 1
Sago: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
1d4 ⇒ 3
But the poor creatures do little besides leaving themselves opened to assault.
Party up! FINISH THEM!

Battleaxe, main hand: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 = 5 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Heavy Steel Spiked Shield, off hand: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 2 = 19 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Bjarke swings both his axe and shield at the pink bug. "Smash buuugs!!"

![]() |

Dagki moves in and tries to cut the yellow bug to pieces.
Atk roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Dmg roll: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Move action & drawing my axe, standard to attack.

![]() |

"Let's move ooon!"
I believe the plan was to head NW next.

![]() |

Dagki retrieves his throwing axe and follows his friend, with his shield and throwing axe in hand.
"To battle!"
He says with a large grin on his face.

GM Hills |

Coming upon a squat stone building, a group of Pathfinders seem to be guarding it.
Upon seeing the younger group of Pathfinders, a female agent speaks up, "Greetings! I'm Dara Immlin," says the breathtaking woman. She actually seems almost divine in her beauty. She has to be be one of those aasimar that people go on about...
"You lot still look a bit wet behind the ears...perhaps you should stand guard here so we can take off to deal with larger threats, yes?" While the group does look more experienced...they don't look much more.

Smiling brightly she seems to give you Sago the sweetest look ever. "That would be great!"

![]() |

Sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Dagki joins Sago.
"Why not we fight? We want fight!"

GM Hills |

"Heck if I know! But we want to get into the fight now, too!" she looks eager, but as you take note of her gear...she, nor do any of her companions look like they are battle types.

![]() |

He shrugs, Well, no offense but if both groups just want to fight then seeing as you guys are already assigned to be here then I'm not overly inclined to switch. Besides, you guys don't look all that prepared to fight.

![]() |

Diplo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Hijacking Sago's start, trying to help with whatever he's doing. Noncom's have a place on the battlefield, and running around like mad men, is not it.
Kennald looks over each group with a merchants appraising eye.
"You know guys, while running around stomping these invaders is exciting ... keeping this building secure is really important. Looking at your group I'd expect that you are much better suited for defending a structure than ours would be. I'd hate to have us take over, and then find out that we can't defend this place nearly as well as you guys can!"
Kennald leans in and speaks in a lower tone.
"Besides, I don't think that I can keep a couple of these guys here for more than 5 minutes of waiting... Not the most reliable from a defensive strategists mindset. Willing to charge overwhelming odds, sure. Wait for the enemy to come to you? Not so much. Looks like the Venture Captain who tasked you here knew what they were doing. I'm sorry it's quiet, but I'm sure those inside are much happier with you out here than us."

![]() |

"Why we talk so much?!" Bjarke yells. "I want battle! Fight for glory!"
He looks around, to see if there's a fight going on nearby. "Where battle?!"

![]() |

Not sure if we reached our destination, NW.
Dagki charges on towards the north west whilst giggling and talking to himself.

GM Hills |

The outside of this large keep was designed with Azlanti architecture in mind. Two wings extend from the center structure, with a domed tower at the end of the east wing a smaller patinated bronze dome over the center hall. Starhall serves as an observatory, library, and museum for otherworldly and extraplanar objects and lore. Inside the main entrance is a library with several display cases of objects recovered from Numeria, as well as a curator’s desk and a staircase to the eastern tower.
The main door is slightly ajar, indicating that someone is within and did not take care to close the door behind.
Listening at the door to the windowless room simply sounds like someone is rummaging through a library.
Spread throughout the room are four creatures that almost look like humanoid owls, each with their hands full of charts or scrolls or books, but as soon as the door is pushed opened fully, they all take a defensive posture and put a free hand on a staff propped next to them.

A dull hum emanates from Skyreach as the ground trembles, trees sway, and glass shatters. A moment later, most of Skyreach’s northwest tower tears free from the keep; however, rather than crash to the ground, a visible aura holds the structure aloft and causes it to float above the Grand Lodge. Even the shower of stone blocks floats, swirling around the airborne tower in a nimbus of speeding debris.
