Here's hoping.
Diplo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Kennald blinks slightly, and takes a couple steps in, holding his spear loosely in one hand while resting the dangerous end against his shoulder, and the Aid Ceramic Icon in the other.
"Evening! It's a bit exciting out, but, I'm going to have to ask that you please put down the papers, books and your weapons. While I don't recognize the four of you, and I don't know every single Pathfinder, I do know that no Pathfinder would be riffling the bookshelves right now. Please. There are only a couple ways this can work. You can surrender, or some ... or all of you can die. Please choose wisely."
IF combat starts, my first action will be to use the aid Icon for the bardic buff. This might be our last chance to use it before the Act closes. I'd use Enhanced Diplomacy for an additional +2 to that Diplo, but I don't think the boys will let me lose that much time before starting a rumble.

The lead owlman shakes his head, "No...we can not surrender. We have been prisoners for longer than we can count. No more. We need to find the way home. You help and we don't need to fight. We need star charts to lead us home. We find them and we can go. No need to fight!"

Ciro Aldrich |

There is no need to fight them why are you threatening them Ciro Looks at Kennald quizzically, Combat would take longer than helping them, most likely cause a political issue between their nation and the pathfinders, helping them instead of fighting seems the better choice here. If a fight breaks out i'm with them, i'll not fight people who do not wish to fight. Ciro turns to look at the group, more serious than before. Scarlet on standby as well.

Dagki slams his axe into the table and starts rummaging through the scrolls in the library. He exclaims and pulls out a random scroll. He walks over to the creatures and hands it to them.
"There."

Bravo! I think you were the only one who could make that DC, as you can't aid another if you can't hit the DC on a 20... and you can't get more than a 10 untrained.
Kennald stays out of the way, and watches the group of odd folk.
"I'm afraid I wouldn't know a star chart if I saw one. Ah, Thank you Ciro! Before you go, would you please help us clean up this Library a little bit? I know how much work our brothers put in to keeping it to rights, so that others can find things. I'd love to ask all sorts of questions, but if you have been held prisoner, I can definitely understand if you really want nothing more than to leave. Be Well, and Good Luck."
If they move towards the door, Kennald moves out of the way and lets them pass with a slight bow.

Here, I said i would help you and i will. Free of charge, and on your way out please be careful friends. And please do not let this one unfortunate event taint you view of our land, it gets better i promise. The young sylph hands the owlmen the maps with a smile on his face

GM Hills |

The four owlmen collect the charts and head out, taking their staves, but looking for the edge of the walls to get out of the compound as quickly as possible, pausing only to toss a satchel at the feet of Ciro. "We were told you Pathfinders were dishonorable. You have proven that to be false. Hopefully this will help you!" And with that, they take wing and are gone.
The next section starts in about 36 hours...We can push or we can pause...let me know and I'll have a response first thing in the morning!

![]() |

Dagki wrenches his axe free from the table and makes a quick round of the building, to see if he can find more valuables.
I vote for a pause since it is not a lot of time.

![]() |

I'm ok with either, but I don't think we could finish most of the sections we've seen without a fair amount of luck. Will check back over the day, and be able to post again in 10~11 hours.
As the birdmen say goodbye, something sticks out to Kennald, and he quickly tries to blurt out a question, in hopes of getting a response before they are gone for good.
"'You were told?' Could you please let us know who told you that?"
Once they are gone, he turns to the others.
"Interesting."

Trotting up with bow in hand, Venture Captain Darren Varkon nods to the boys. "Looks like you fellas have been busy. Based on what the Master of Swords said, you have three places you can head...The archives for information about the tapestry, the Sky Key's chamber, or you can go to the tapestry itself...though if you are going to bother with that, I would suggest finding the notes first! Me...I am going to go and deal with some of the menagerie creatures getting loose...I hear there is a giant two headed bird...and a t-rex. I haven't had to deal with those...in a long, long time. Good Luck!"
There you go, your options are laid before you!

"I want fight!" Bjarke announces.
"But let get stupid notes first," he mumbles. "Then we no have tedious job anymore after."

"No notes! Fight!"
After a quick discussion with whomever he will follow to find the notes before quickly making his way to a fight.

Twelve bookcases line the walls of this cozy lounge room. Their shelves are crammed with books, scroll tubes, and tablets. Comfortable furnishings are arrayed so that scholars may examine the works without needing to remove them from the room. It may be here that Aram Zey hid his notes about the Hao Jin Tapestry.
There must be something important here...because there are four Aspis Agents here rummaging through books and papers.
Immediately they look towards the Pathfinders who are intruding...
You guys WON initiative. All are up
Sorry for the delay, I had to figure out how to get the map without all the markers!

The Agent that was stabbed opens his eyes wide, taking the brunt of the blow from the spear and gripping the hilt of his longsword. Just as he is about to draw it, however, Bjarke steps up and ends him, watching him drop hard to the ground, bleeding profusely from the two wounds.
