"With any luck there will also be dirty trickster fey" adds Thurismund, whose hold upon the instincts of old tell him much about their path.

After much cursing and trudging, you finally make it out of the cramped passageways of the labyrinthine trail through the trees and into a clearing. The web-covered trees here are still as ominous as they were in the labyrinth and dead leaves cover the ground. A few hundred yards beyond, a low hill bare of any vegetation rises from the sea of green. But what catches the party’s attention is a man in tattered clothes laboriously crawling in their direction. Upset and enraged at the foiled trap, the team moves past the set up and to the other side of the clearing where the gaping mouth of a tunnel opens into a bleak, cairn-like mound. Down the dark passageway, you find a grisly scene.
The tunnel opens into a large cavern. Thick layers of sagging webs choke the room from floor to ceiling. Beyond the mass of tangles, jade flames burn about a rough pyramid-shaped dais, bathing the whole chamber in an eldritch green glow. Gruesome carcasses and human-sized cocoons dangle from ghastly strands. In places, walls are covered with worn-out bas-reliefs and faded markings. The air smells of dust, decay, and death.

Moving deeper into the cavern, you find the remains of an old alter. Behind it are stacked person shaped silk wrapped bundles, and you can see bit of hair or an arm hanging out here or there. Quickly, you move in and examine the bundles.. it seems that you have found the crew of the Handspur's Luck. Sorting through the bodies stacked like cordwood, you find two that are just barely breathing still. An old Osirion and a one eyes grizzled old pirate.
