The assassin then attempts to leap through the open window and escape through the gala.
Xyklik gets an AOO for her firing her weapon, but not one for her movement due to an operative trick.

Arratoi runs up and leaps through the shattered window as well!
I moved 30 feet but if leaping through used extra movement then my token will have to be moved back to the left. Also, here's an acrobatics roll if needed...

The glass shatters behind Luwazi, and the assassin slumps over the window frame with a deep gouge in her back. Radaszam quickly moves to shield the First Seeker. The gala attendees silently stare at you through the broken glass.
Several of the Obsidian Spiders move onto the stage to apprehend the woman, but they quickly confirm that she is dead. As they make this announcement, her soft pink skin shifts to gray-green scales and her hair shrinks away to be replaced by a think frill of spines.
The First Seeker disengages from Radaszam with a pat on his arm and takes the microphone.
“I had planned for this evening’s announcement to be an exciting one, but I’ll admit this is not quite what I had in mind,” the First Seeker begins, her smile wry but determined. “Now I find my resolve only further galvanized.
“As many of you know, the First Seeker has the privilege and the responsibility for choosing the direction of the Starfinder Society’s research efforts. I have refrained from setting such a direction while we regroup and rebuild—an undertaking which all of you here have made possible. Also, the fact that Guidance has not yet chosen to formalize my election is another matter, but not one the Society can risk dwelling on. Now that the Society is again in a position to reach for the stars, I am pleased to formally announce the focus of our efforts during my tenure. Thanks to the tireless research of my associate Royo, we have identified a lead on understanding the Scoured Stars incident. And so, the Starfinder Society will continue researching the Scoured Stars, in the hopes of reuniting with our lost colleagues and better understanding this phenomenon.”
Luwazi turns toward the broken window and meets your eyes, “And I already have highly qualified agents in mind to undertake the first mission!”
The room remains quiet, and then the guests, starting with Ykris, begin to applaud in force. Iteration-177 regards the elected First Seeker with an indiscernible expression, slowly joining in on the applause. Royo nods enthusiastically, taking in some of the fanfare for his role in the announcement. Naiaj frantically appends work orders, noticeably perturbed by some news she has just received. Zo! actively backs away from the assembled group, still enthusiastically clapping but also making desperate calls to acquire televised rights to all Scoured Stars
related endeavors.

Still bleeding slightly from his wound, Stiehle approaches the broken window and looks down upon the scene, studying the faces of those that he and the others had been interacting with that night. He glances at the others and speaks softly. "I can't help but wonder if one of those folks down there hired the assassin. I wouldn't be surprised if whoever spent the credits would have wanted a front row seat. Maybe that encrypted file in the computer will give us some clues. We'd better get that computer to Radaszam before it disappears."

Grimly, Arratoi says, "Whomever hired the assassin, I get the feeling they're not yet done trying to screw with the Society. Perhaps we'll have another opportunity to expose him, her, or them in the future..."
Arratoi's face lightens as he then says, "But for now, there's still booze to be had at this gala!!" Arratoi wanders off grabbing the nearest alcoholic beverage and talks to the nearest ear about his next novel which he's thinking to have set in the Scoured Stars...

Xyklik calmly wipes the blood from his survival knife with a table cloth. "Yes, another opportunity. We will see Eh-Rat."

Silveras smiles and nods his head towards the applauding crowds with a waving hand, allowing himself to enjoy the praise. As he rejoins the audience he thinks to himself, Hang on, Pop. I'm coming.

Radaszam catches up with you a little bit later. "Good work stopping the assassination attempt," the vesk says as he approaches, a long case under his arm. "I wish she hadn't broken that window--credits are short as it is--but it did make for a spectacular display."
He sets the case on the table and opens it. Inside is a custom Diasporan rifle in the sleek black design of the Obsidian Spiders. "A gift from me," says the usually stingy vesk. "And pay to compensate you for acting as unofficial members of my mercenaries."

"Raddy baby, you shouldn't have" butts in Da'at as he examines the rifle. "Hmm. Nice. I love the toys you get to play with. Lets see who can make best use of it!"
