Smith has it right. Back then, locker security and even airport security wasn't as tight as it is now.
You head to Zhob airport and fund that it seems to little more than a small complex with few buildings and one entire runway. Going into what passes for a terminal, you are able to easily find the temporary storage area, which consists of a single row of several lockers in the style of high school hallways. Each one has a coin deposit and key setup and there is a large sign that boasts that the airport personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen goods. There are many people milling about area, walking to gates, putting stuff in or removing stuff from lockers, purchasing newspapers or magazines and buying snacks which appear to be way overpriced. You do not notice any one watching you, other than the usual quick glances as you pass by. Mac is able to easily find an open locker...

Smith walks over to the attendant and says, "Good day sir, I was wondering if you might per chance help me. My five year old son being precocious and all lost the key to our locker which has some of our luggage in it. Would you be able to help us and let us borrow the spare key?"

That's also a Bluff/Deception roll at -4 too... You have to beat a Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 1 - 4 = 16

Mac slowly puts in his duffel bag of spare clothes while looking around him cautiously. He notices Smith talking to the Attendant but calmly closes his locker pocketing his key. He makes his way towards the street exit walking towards Smith and the attendant.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
The attendant looks incredulous at Smith for a moment, and then down at the cash in his hand. Quickly pocketing it, he smiles. "No problem! For you my friend, anything." He takes you over to the locker, fishing for a ring of keys in his pockets. He opens the locker and sure enough inside is a black duffel bag. "If you need anything else, my friend, you call Punji." He whistles some tune as he goes back to cleaning the floors...
DM ShadowBloodmoon
.. enough Rubles to equate to about $10000 USD. Of course with Soviet economy the way it is, that could change on a whim. Underneath the cash, you also find several passports from different countries and a loaded Makarov PM. Each passport is of the same person, but it is difficult to tell which name is the real one.

The two females with you keep to themselves and their standoffish nature gives the security personnel something to discuss, but seeing Smith's aggressive personality and Mac's overt friendliness, they say nothing as you board the plane to Karachi. The hour and a half flight turns into two hours with a major weather system moving through the area, but once you arrive, the transfer to the outbound flight to Paris is fairly easy. It is a much longer flight to Paris, but the Boeing 727 is comfortable and the woman and her daughter allow the exhaustion of flight to catch up with them. They fall asleep and dream restless dreams. Eventually you land in Paris, the weather, according to the captain, is a nice 59 degrees with a light wind.
After passing through customs, your French being tested a bit, you arrive at the luggage claim area. It is there you see someone dressed in a chauffeur outfit holding a sign that reads SMITH...

It is about Mercs in Africa, is a great read. The last time I read it was when I was in Uganda last year.
Smith walks around the arrival area, just to see if there is any other unexpected visitors
Notice 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
If all is clear, he walks up to the man with the Smith sign and uses the agreed upon greeting according to the contact code.

The man holds out his hand as Smith approaches. "You are Smith, no? I am Jacques, here to take you and your companions to your hotel. I trust you had a safe flight?" He doesn't skip a beat as he turns to start walking towards a waiting limousine. When you arrive, he opens the door to allow you entrance and begins loading your bags. At the moment, neither of you notice anything out of place. Just ordinary folk getting into taxis and limos...

Macomb holds the door and gestures the ladies into the back of the limousine.
Jacques do you perhaps have a bottle of champagne in the book? The ladies have never been to France before and we should celebrate. Would you have a corkscrew as well?
DM ShadowBloodmoon
"I have just the thing, but it will have to wait until we arrive, I'm afraid. Once there, I will leave and you will have time to celebrate. The bellboy will bring you a message from the next handlers. Oh.. I almost forgot, Natalie says hello." He starts driving and you head out of the airport and go towards your hotel.
You feel as if you have a moment to breathe finally, you have been chatting with Jacques and each other for a time and the drive is pretty uneventful, that is until you notice Jacques continuously staring into the rear-view mirror. He says what you already know. "We have a tail."
No sooner he says that, his head explodes in a plume of red and white bone chips. The two women begin screaming and the car starts to to veer towards the side of the highway, uncontrolled...

Before SHTF, Smith says in Russian, "Это не так. Hатушка не мой наемный контакт. Действуют московские правила. Быть осторожен!"
Russian
Smith then says, "Mac, you know what to do." as Smith assembles his .45 from his grip.
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
This is bad. Excuse me ladies. Mac says as he surveys the situation quickly.
What kind of check will be required to get into the front of the limo? Acrobatics, Athletics? Can he squeeze through the divider window? Does he need to get out the passenger window and into the driver window?
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Acrobatics to get through the divider. Athletics for the window to window transfer, your choice...
Mac looks back and forth weighing his options as Smith looks for their assailants. Behind the limo is at least two black sedans, one of which has a man pointing his pistol out of the window and firing in your direction...
We'll start the Chase based on Mac's roll..
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Mac rolls down the passenger window behind the passenger seat. Gives the ladies a wink and grabs a firm hold of the top of the window.
He then heaves his body out holding onto the door frame slamming his feet into the front passenger side window.
Athletics(Dex): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

Mac makes changing seats at 50 mph look like child's play. He enters the passenger side next to the dead driver, Jacques. A bump against the highway railing reminds him that time is of the essence. More shots ring out from the cars closing the distance behind you. Smith ducks as the back window shatters...
Chase, starting Lead 4, Close. You have a Standard Limousine, they have 2 Mid Size Sedans.
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Macomb remembering to breathe again pulls the dead driver out of the driver seat and over his body as he slides into it. Macomb flashes a tight smile in the rear view mirror as he gauges his situation. [b]Two tails.[b] He shouts back over the shattering glass and roar of the air of the speedy car.
Time to step on it Mac. He thinks to himself as he quickly accelerates the limousine.
Go,Go,Go: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 4 = 6
Well I don't think critical failures happen in chases but they may just catch up to us on that roll.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Yes, there is a full bar in the back...
Driver 1 Ram!: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 2 = 8
Driver 2 Setup: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 - 2 = 5
The two cars attempt to close, one going to one side and one to the other side. Unfortunately for one an oncoming car forces him to slow down, but the other clips your side before you speed off. It is just enough to scratch paint, but nothing more.
2nd Car Lead 5
1st Car Lead 3
Not enough damage to beat Toughness. Smith may go and then they will shoot.
Timothy K Smith
Smith grabs the first bottle of hard liquor, some napkins lights the wick and tosses it at the car that just rammed them... 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
My goal is to impair the driver's ability to see causing give up pursuit. Aiming for the top of the hood or the windshield. 13 should be good enough.
Smith says to the ladies, "Дамы, не могли бы вы, пожалуйста, сделать несколько фитилей и протянуть мне еще одну бутылку, чтобы мы могли быть в безопасности."
Russian
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Since that will do no damage, I'll allow it as a driver distraction. The driver will get -2 on his next chase turn..
Car 1 shoot at 150ft: 1d20 + 3 - 8 ⇒ (18) + 3 - 8 = 13
Car 2 Shoot at 250 ft: 1d20 + 3 - 12 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 12 = -3
Car 1 Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Limo Damage Save v. DC 15: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Smith throws his Molotov at the closest car, causing him to swerve, but the gunman in the seat next to him is unfazed. The bullet he fires only manages to out a hole through the trunk however.
Next Chase Turn...

Car 1 Shooter: 1d20 + 3 - 6 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 6 = 4
Car 1 Lead 2
Car 2 Lead 6
The second car can't seem to catch up to you as you see it retreating in the distance, but the first one has it in for you, its flaming hood smashing into your bumper, spoiling the aim of its second occupant. Smith throws another explosive at the retreating car, but 300 feet is a long toss, even for him.
Next round...

Macomb winces as the Sedan slams into the back of the limo. The larger vehicle doesn't handle like he is used to its sluggish in its acceleration. Macomb decides that outrunning this car may not be possible.
RamCar1: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 9 - 2 = 13
Also I think Smith gets two half actions.
I can't roll double digits.

Car 1 Ram: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 2 = 7
Car 2 GoGoGo: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 3 - 4 = 7

Windshield Resistance v. 11: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Driver Car 1 Tough v. 11: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Mac slams on his breaks, causing the first car to slam into his back end and then he accelerates gaining some distance before the car can get going again. The two vehicles only lose lights and a piece of bumper but are otherwise unharmed. The driver on the other hand gets winged by one of Smith's bullets and some shattered glass from the windshield. His face shows his determination to end this...
Car 1 Lead 3
Car 2 Lead 7
Car 1 Driver, 2 hp taken
Next Round...
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Smith can squeeze off two attacks per round.
Mac smiles as the sedan crashes into the back end of the limo. That's the ticket she's slow but she's a rock. Come a little closer a-holes.
RamCar1: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 2 = 16
Almost to double digits.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
I realized I forgot a couple of things with chases, they are supposed to be getting a plus 4 because they are faster and it's a -5 to attack the driver in a vehicle, as it is Called Shot, but it is 'easier' to damage him, as long as it is above the car's damage save..
Car 1 Ram: 1d20 + 3 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 2 + 4 = 11
Car 2 GoGoGo: 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 3 - 4 + 4 = 21
Limo Ram Save v. DC 15: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Car 1 Ram Save v. DC 18: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Car 1 Driver Dmg Sv v. DC 11: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
The limo and the car go at each other again, this time the limo losing one of its fenders. It causes another car to swerve and this slows down the first car enough for you to get ahead and for Smith to shoot the driver. This one is determined however and the round only makes him angrier. The second car only manages to get a little ahead, but they are still far behind you.
Car 1 Lead 4
Car 2 Lead 6
Driver 1 Damage 3
Limo 1/6/12
Next Round...
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
What does Limo 1/6/12 mean? I think you correctly assumed that I was going to take the impact action twice. This would have reduced the damage dealt by 4 to 7 and a DC 13 but limo still failed. But on this next turn if I only have 1 advantage I will take the attack action to give a +4 to attacks that round. I don't want to hurt the limo unless I can do the -4 damage to the sedan's check.
Ram: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 2 = 24
Macomb grimaces as the limo looses a bumper but slams the vehicle back into the sedan in an attempt to force off the road.
If only 1 advantage apply to attack otherwise all to impact.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Your limo, being Huge, can take six fails before being broken and 12 before being destroyed. You've taken 1 so far. Incidentally, theirs can only take 3 and 6 respectively... For your leads, you're at Attack and two Impacts for this round. Great Roll! Too bad both cars seem to be tanks...
Car 1 Ram: 1d20 + 3 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 4 - 2 = 12
Car 2 GoGoGo: 1d20 + 3 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 4 - 4 = 21
Limo Damage Save v. DC 12: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Car 1 Damage Save v. DC 22: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Driver 1 Damage Save v. DC 13: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Smith fires on the other driver and manages to blast out most of the windshield. The cars bump each other again, but separate just as quickly. The driver of the closer car wipes his face and you can see blood streaks on his shirt...
Car 1 Lead 4 (200ft)
Car 2 Lead 6 (300ft)
Driver 1 Damage 7
Limo 1/6/12
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Still think Ram is the best strategy to pick for us. But maybe we can double down on damage to the vehicle. If Smith shoots at the car and Macomb hits it with Ram does the damage stack?
Ram: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 - 2 = 10
Smith try shooting the tires out we need this vehicle out of commission post haste.
or ignore that Smith and shoot the driver your call I don't even know if the damage will stack and here come the single digit rolls again.
