SMith's roll says Aid, so I'll go with the 29... I'm not seeing where Waiting Game has an alternate skill choice though... If you do use a strategy with an alternate skill, you do have to use that skill. Thus Majors using Networking earlier and this round... Because of your Natural 20, you can spend an action die to get a Lead as well as the Stress..
Majors No Rat, No Hope, Death Threat: 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 4 - 4 - 4 = 5
You guys win by 24, that's seven Stress Results. Stress: 7d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1) = 15
Lead 7 (6 if you spend the action die), Majors has 18 accumulated Stress, Majors Will Save v. DC 12: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Shaken I.
Majors pauses for a moment, thinking. The smile slowly disappears. "I don't work for the Russians and they don't want me any way. I did not kill those girls, I was saving them. Just not for the Russians. Or you. They have a.. special purpose. Kill me, and you will be just as lost as the KGB."
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Definitely spending the action dice so lead is 6. We need to go back to Smith doing the primary roll so that we can choose Bad Cop and take lead. Majors now has a -4 to charisma and wisdom checks so that should help.
All right cut the $%^^! What do you mean you were saving them? saving them for who? That pile of corpses we left behind? What does this all have to do with that first mission start talking?
Timothy K Smith
Smith says while slamming Majors in his wound with the butt of his .45,
"I enjoy killing communists anyway. Been doing it my entire adult life. Are you working for Mossad? We have them and well when someone is under my protection all would be perpetrators get slotted. Protecting this secret will not help you or them. We will get the information eventually"
Bad Cop 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Majors, No Rat, No Escape, Death Threat, Shaken I: 1d20 + 5 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 5 - 4 - 4 - 4 - 4 = -1
You win by 19, 5 Advantages, Lead or Stress?
Majors shakes his head. "You said you have the documents, it should be quite clear what they are for and just how important it is that they remain alive, which, to my knowledge, they still are. Now that you have eliminated most of their protection, well..."
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Can you smell the pile of horse sh$! you are feeding us here Majors? Or did Smith break your nose? Oh wait we haven't done that, YET. Now tell me why you felt the need to pull a gun on me to deliver those women to "protection". Or better yet why do they need protection in the first place? What do you know that they know that we don't know?
IntimidationAssist: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Don't worry I now realize my mistake and if we start another mission after this one I will use my resource gear pick to take the Iron Will feat rather than the weapon focus. Will lose a +1 on my rifle but will gain +3 to will save and then I can take the lead and have strong intimidation skill bonus. You'll just have to keep on slotting the terrorists. But that 18 is going to get us a few advantages I would think because with the +2 from my aid. That means we are sitting at a 20. Majors has a -4 to Wisdom and Charisma due to stress and some penalty due to threat of violence and no escape. It doesn't look good for him. I think we got him cracked. Also learned an important lesson about these interrogations. Cause Stress it helps.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Majors Waiting Game, No Escape, Injury Threat: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 3 - 4 = 12
You win by 8, 3 advantages. That will bring your Lead to 0...
Majors pauses for a moment finally deciding that he can't continue this game, watching Smith making him nervous. He sighs, several hours of questioning showing on his face.
"You realize that by telling you any of this, I'm signing my death warrant? There is more than just the Russians, the Afghanis, the U.S., and the Moujihadeen in this little conflict. I represent one of those interests. Conflict is good for business. It builds ingenuity and everyone wants a piece of that. That Russian Captain's family are plants, but you've probably figured that out. They are carrying the answer to a forty year old riddle. I'm trying to get them back to the States for safe keeping. Unfortunately, their importance is becoming too public.." He pauses after this looking at the 3 of you. "So now what? You want to kill me now, or let them deal with it? Either way, we're all dead."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
So this all has to do with that old Nazi science camp. But how? We need more information from you and if you are as sure to be dead then why not spill the beans Major. You tell us everything that we need to know and we will let you live. Not sure how long it will take for your employers to track you down but that is on you.
Macomb says taking a sit staring into the operatives eyes for any sign of lying.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Majors looks at each of you in turn, but what he is looking for in your faces is difficult to determine. "Perhaps I wasn't clear. They don't go by a name or any such meaningless things. They work through contacts and dead drops. Like you. I don't know how big they are, but I do know they mean business. " He slowly takes one of his shoes off, showing you a burn mark on the bottom of his foot. It looks consistent with a branding iron. "Regardless of what you do, they will get to me. That much is certain. As for you, they know you are involved. It's only a matter of time before they decide you're a threat. " He sighs, the weight of inevitability on his shoulders. "The girls are being taken to a transfer location. The coordinates are in those documents. "

Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Correction Majors the girls were being taken to a transfer location. They are safe now. We made sure of that. You still haven't told us what you know of the cave and the experiments. Enough dallying I want to know what is the composition of the sh!$ that we stepped in.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
"Safe? How did you make them safe? Do you even have them in custody? Those girls carry the answer to the formula you found in that cave, Macomb. They are the key to a weapon that will change this war and all wars to come. Whoever has this weapon will be a force to be reckoned with. You can guess just how many people want it."

Timothy K Smith
Smith laughs, "Yes they are safe and in custody. Stop f##*ing around. Give us the real information. You cannot serve two masters. It seems to me losing a leg by hand is much worse than a scar on the foot. Are you looking for a way out or do you want us to let them get you and I would guess your family as well? I want to slot the lot. The general, the conspirators. Every! Last! One! Majors, it seems that in spite of all evidence to the contrary, you keep on underestimating Mac and I's skills and determination to see this through. Sua Sponte! Give us a g!$ d$!ned address and Mac and I will render this cabal or Mossad or whatever completely destroyed. Not to mention I will enjoy the challenge."
DM ShadowBloodmoon
"You can't save me. The CIA wants me silenced, the KGB wants me dead, and these people don't like loose ends. The house you took me out of was the last meeting place with my contact. I haven't heard from her since you got me out of there. Find her and you'll have your answers. Or maybe you won't. I don't know all she knows. Go to the coordinates on the documents, she will probably be there. She's Moldovan, shouldn't be hard to pick out."

DM ShadowBloodmoon
Yes, it was...
"Looks like she could handle herself in a fight, always seemed to have a smirk on her face, as if she knew something funny that no one else could know. Dark almost back hair, blue eyes. If she has any scars, I haven't seen them. Not that I.. well, if I had known her some other way, I'd have made a pass at her."
DM ShadowBloodmoon
"We were just going to deliver them when you showed up.."

Speaking with Control, you finally hand over Majors to authorities to be brought back to the States for 'proper' questioning. Control is impressed with your success, but you are.. "only one step closer to finding out who Majors actually works for. We lost Antonova and you're going to have to find her eventually, but that isn't our top priority right now. Right now, we want you to lay low for a while, take some time to get the lay of the land and as soon as we get wind of her movements, you'll be the next to know."
Essentially the next mission is yours to build or, you can do as Control says and lay low for a month or two...
Operation Milk Run Reputation Rewards:
Smith: Reputation +5 (Mission), -2 Local Incident, -2 Local Noise= 1

Each Agent: 815 (Mission)-150 (Missed Objectives) -25 (Incident) +25 (Action Die Reward) +456 (NPCs)= 1121 x2 (Threat Level)= 2242xp each.
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Ok almost there to level 4. So next mission I am thinking we can either on our own protect the two ladies as we get them someplace safe. We can try to track down the Russian General who arrived by helicopter to kill the one guy at the start of Milk Run. He probably knows what's up. We can try to sneak back across the border to re-investigate the area of the cave and see if any mystery remains.
Timothy K Smith
Smith says, "The best place to get passports is in Karachi at the airport. We need to take pictures of the ladies, boil some water to raise up the laminate and then an electric iron or a hair drier to reseal them."
Smith will have his AK with him until they fly to Paris.
Forage 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Forgery Group: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5
After making a few calls and putting some things into action, you feel as if you are ready to go. Natalie does her best to get you what she can, but as this whole operation isn't official, it's difficult. Nonetheless, after about five days, the counterfeiting ring that Mac contacted is able to come up with documents for the woman and her daughter in order to pass through airport security. Now to get them to the airport safely and get tickets to travel...
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Macomb thinks about it a bit and says I would opt for the small charter flight to India over crossing by car. We would need to secure a car for transportation. I used my contact to line up a vehicle in France for us. We would have to creatively secure a vehicle here.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Unless you plan on driving all the way to Islamabad (it's closer than Karachi to where you are) with what is left of the fuel in your current vehicle from last mission, (you won't make it...), we need to find a more local airport. There are a few ways to go about doing that. You are about 10 miles from the closest town, Zhob...
-Posted with Wayfinder
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Fuel station, no. Airport and with the little actual money you have between you, yes... I believe Mac has some abilities that allow him to get more funds faster. IRL the airport near Zhob only services 4 places in Pakistan and in the 80s it was barely even that and it only flies on certain days of the week. So, you would have to take that to either Islamabad or Karachi and then get a flight to Paris from one of those airports... At this point, for the 4 of you, you're looking at about $1600, for the complete trip. I believe your mission spending money is $400 and Mac's is $100. If you chose to drive it, the airline just to Paris from either place would cost a total of $900, plus fuel to drive all the way to either city is about $100... That's ballparking it based on money at the time without getting into the nickels and dimes of it.
DM ShadowBloodmoon
Just don't get caught... have you heard from Mac at all? It's been almost a week since his last post...
DM ShadowBloodmoon
So after a week or so of deliberation...
Smith decides that being short on cash is not helping your small group any and hits the pavement, attempting to put word out to some of his old friends. Unfortunately, few of them operate in Pakistan at the moment, so it takes a few days to finally get a response. Zhob is not a large town, but having the small airport nearby helps get traffic through and eventually at the predetermined dead drop, Smith gets a hit. A simple coded message details the money and the package. In the airport lockers at Zhob is a bag containing about $10000 worth of Soviet money. You are to simply deliver half of it to a drop in Paris. The other half is yours. The trick is getting to the locker and getting it open. No one knows what happened to the key, but the registered owner is certified dead with no next of kin noted...
This can be played out step by step or you can pull an Infiltration Game, up to you guys.
Johnny "Razor" Macomb
Well we only get to keep 5k but I see your point. But who do we pay off? I suggest first we find out more about this locker storage area. I should have enough to rent a locker.
Macomb packs up a duffel bag of clothes and other equipment and heads to the airport to rent a locker.
Timothy K Smith
Smith nods.
He goes with Macomb to the airport and then follows the signs to the locker area.
I envision it either being like a bus/train station area where you deposit coins in the locker and get the key this is 1979/80 or so, it is way before 9/11. But there is probably a service guy who makes sure the lockers are working and stuff who would have a spare key.
